lol. Ok so I almost just now completed a arthur run first time, I got like 5 dash attack boons that made me 2-3 shot every enemy up until the last zone. But ares was not happy, too many doom nonsense boons and not enough from other gods. Got soooo close in the last encounter but failed ๐ฟ
if I had any other sword I wouldve won, what a awkward build for arthur

Also, due to tanking that you do with the weapon, you really gotta use cerebrus collar+that one ability that lets you heal from the shadow essense. Lets you heal a lot from boss fights if you got the bounty already

Actually I think the explosion does get the hestia damage boost, but I don't think it can crit.

Itโs also interesting that chaos shield was already considered the best weapon for 32 heat, so they release a dps mirror upgrade if you take away one of your dashes... and the shield can handle this restriction much easier than any of the other weapons because it can block

I think difficulty-wise the game is fine at 20+ heat, but to get to 30+ you have to include annoying modifiers
you end up with a less enjoyable game with limited boon options, less rewards, less everything

I would just like some option where I feel like the content is challenging. I feel like thereโs a toggle switch, where the game goes from really really super easy, to RNG plagued situations, where thereโs either damage thatโs unrealistic to avoid, or situations like tight deadline that are RNG based for weapon aspects that might not have high enough DPS to reliably clear it

How do you count the number of hits? I suggest try hitting Skelly in the backyard and watch the damage number.
For regular special I can see 210 damage (30 * (2 + 5)). For dash-special it's 40 * (1 + 5) = 240

@waxen ice It depends on what you want actually. +400% to traps is quite easy, unless you are a fan of walking on magma. +1 free hit for mobs is good, unless you are trying to run with one-hit builds.
I would recommend making bosses and mini-bosses harder, because it's a nice opportunity to train for later game and also adds variety.

What does it mean to load a cast? What if you have a cast modifier?

so when you next shoot
it will not only deal the damage but on impact the cast will trigger
so it allows you to aim some casts that you wouldn't usually be able to aim very well

Kite enemies, Bull Rush through them (you're not 100% invulnerable, you can get hit from the sides), rinse and repeat.
If you take Aspect of Chaos you can throw five shields at max level between Bull Rushes.
