There is honestly so much progression, so that even if you die, you can talk to the people in the lobby and they almost always have something new to say.
If when you die, you know that you're still progressing the story and therefore progressing in the game, the tilt is less.

Also yea Hades is the first action roguelike that seems to be sticking still. I've played others for long periods but never get the endings. Slay the Spire and maybe Griftlands are the only others.

With SGG; they are good at building diverse sets; but usually the games end up on focusing towards one optimal build so far, at least with transistor and bastion.
With hades; definitely can feel the feedback and polish improved that.
@willow swallow ; i logged in a lot of hours to binding of isaac; and in retrospect i don't enjoy it at all anymore. But it is a very well liked action roguelike

Something that might be be interesting is a charge up, with a multistage powershot, it starts charged, and you have to hit it consecutively to fire multiple shots

The other weapons do have lower damage skills; but i feel like that's OK since you can rapid fire them.

I still don't get why people say no knockback on flourish. It does knockback. Regular enemies so much that if you don't push them to the wall they will knock themselves out of range before everything hits. And bosses do get visually knocked back.
