Not really. Got it from them one run when I was at 150. Really you just have to visit them more during one run to increase the chance of more rare stuff to drop.

I've heard people mention taking ares doom attack on rail is generally a bad idea but I tried it with the athena deflect dash it seems to be kinda op when you get their duo. Even better with impending doom and the one that allows doom to stack.

I'm running into an issue where the game gets about a third of the way into the initial loading bar and then freezes without fail in the exact same spot. I've restarted my computer an even un- and re-installed Hades, but nothing is working. Thoughts?

I personally think hell mode should have been designed as having obnoxious restrictions (e.g. budget cuts), but have way less meta progression to make up for it
like, it would be a "just play the game" mode
right now, on a fresh save, it's almost better to just replay the 1st level over and over, since it doesn't seem like the 2nd-4th levels give more resources
, and repeat until you unlock the necessary stuff from the mirror
then beat the game once with every weapon, max out a weapon, and then start grinding heat levels
One scenario I have right now is an elite gem room, or a shop room. And I'm going for the gem room, because I don't need anything from the shop right now, and the gem room at least has gold that drops from the enemies

anyway, zaggy's reason for leaving the underworld, disregarding the business with ||persephone||, is that Hades is a giant bag of phalluses. He's an abusive parent, but it's not the cinematic version of an abusive parent that comes from hollywood. He's not physically beating the crap out of his son, or constantly exploding at him or mooching off of him, which cinema would have you believe is what abuse looks like even though that's generally only the most extreme version of it.
but hades is still abusive, in that he's a colossally shoddy parent who can't go five seconds without verbally berating his son and generally attributing his every breath and movement some burden on himself. just because zagreus can snark back doesn't mean it's not abuse, and he takes it as reason enough to leave, which it is, instead of just putting up with it because it's "not that big a deal".
most people abused by their parents these days can speak to that sort of behavior. and most of them are adults, not necessarily crying children.
it really makes the escape into a fantasy. i think a lot of us would escape that behavior like zagreus, but we're not gods nor financially able, is all.

The thing about Chaos shield, you use Bull Rush: hold attack button, a charge arrow will appear, like with the bow, then you release the button to perform a sort of a dash in that direction, dealing damage and pushing enemies while being immune to damage
and with Chaos aspect, you use your special and throw a whole bunch of shields out
since there are a bunch of em, they deal lots of damage
only downside, while your main shield is bouncing around, you can't use your weapon, at all
Chaos shield is the most reliable weapon in the game, hands down

did a special damage bow build which was as much anti-marksman as it could be but it was very fun

Chaos and Zeus shields also allow you to fight while the shield is in flight....another thing that makes the fully upgraded chaos sheild super nice

Chaos doesn't let you fight while the shield is flying, only Zeus
you might be getting the impression that you can fight because the extra shields keep bouncing after your primary one returned
you can force your primary shield to return faster if you use your special against enemies at point blank
and Zeus aspect needs to be leveled up before you can go ham with it

Question i've been meaning to make into feedback for like 6 months:
Besides legendary boons, are there boons that only show up at certain rarities? My confusion with the rarity system has always come from the fact that one boon (like Ares' dash, for example) can come up at multiple rarities, with different power levels... But then also can upgrade via Poms along a separate track of power levels. Rarity vs. lvl has always felt needlessly confusing to me-- is there just more to it than I realize?

anyways, on the subject of difficulty spikes, for me the biggest one was tartarus into asphodel. the first time i went to asphodel my first room's first wave was 2 crusher guys, and I didn't know how to fight them. from my perspective the room was just covered in lava, they were invulnerable black murder squares, and no exits. i ended up dying without figuring out how to fight the crushers LOL. i almost raged pretty hard but i decided to just do another run and try to figure it out
it was very satisfying killing crushers after that. that's what they get for oppressing me
