What do you think is the fair price for each item in the broker's shop?
My intuition is that 1 key is worth about 17 darkness and 1 ambrosia bottle is worth about 50

I think it really depends how much of each you have and what you want

yeah, it definitely depends on what you want; for example i paid some pretty steep prices for darkness when i was finishing out the rarity upgrades at the mirror, because i didn't need the keys or ambrosia for anything else

I thought stifling darkness would be required for 120 heat runs and got used to 500 darkness... I was selling it all for keys and heat for a while at really bad exchange rates. Oops. Now I have no use for ambrosia and only troves for keys so I'm converting it back when I can.

I haven't dug into it, but I think the chance of getting all the different resources is pretty similar, except for heat
heat is significantly rarer than darkness, keys, or ambrosia, which makes it more "valuable", but also technically useless to anyone who doesn't want to play heat runs
darkness is easier to acquire in large amounts than keys or ambrosia, which would make it "cheapest"
but you also have to use it in larger amounts than you use keys or ambrosia, which technically pushes its value back up
to get every heart with every character currently probably requires in the neighborhood of...60 or 70 ambrosia total? after which it becomes worthless
I don't know how many keys total are required for all weapon, heat, and mirror unlocks...plus technically keys maintain a small fraction of their value for the sake of infernal troves
so not only are the values difficult to calculate in the first place, but they actually fluctuate over time as you progress through the game too
you could try to calculate value in terms of how many of an item you're statistically most likely to get per run
but i have no idea what those statistics would even look like
there are solid ranges of both heat and darkness from boss fights
some kind of calculation of...statistical averages compared to how much of that item you actually need total in the game
tho idk how much statistics are good for when you often have a choice of rooms
you could let a random number generator choose the next room for you

i think it's 21 for all the gods, plus another 3 or 4 for chaos, then 6 or 7 for everyone in the house which is another 30-40
i think it's fairly uncommon to get more than 2 ambrosia per run, unless you're targeting it
i'd ballpark 2-4 keys per run, 50-70 darkness, and, what, 6-10 heat for a successful clear?
so 3, 60, and 8, for average's sake
2 ambrosia, 3 keys, 60 darkness, and 8 heat, with the remaining rooms being centaur hearts, boons, poms, money, etc.

In +500% damage it basically doubles the number of mistakes you can make. In that run I did earlier, I got it before act 2, so I took the tooth after tisiphone. I also bought an extra one from a well and the deathless stand one, so I had 7 total.
And used 'em all, since even with it, it's still only 2 hits
