hi guys, i just barely defeated the 1st boss without spending darkness pts at the mirror and with no healing (i spent 20 heat skulls in the pact) . i think the most difficult part is not having the double/triple dash. also not being able to heal could be a problem in the second area 🤔

As far as I know, it will not, no.
Epic and Steam are separate storefronts, and I can only assume that you would need to buy a Steam copy in order to have access to Steam social features, like cards and achievements

Hades isn't the ones giving you the rewards, he's the one taking possible rewards from you, So i could see @pliant hound s idea working but only with minor buffs e.g. say a boon will at minimum be rare options, a centaur heart gives +10 health, 10+ darkness, 100 gold instead of 75
Of course this would then have to be followed up by an update where you can see its a challenge room, A little clock for timer rooms and whatever symbol one could make for a 1 hit room

Hit X dummies - Time limited challenge in which the player must hit a target dummy that spawns in different random positions on the field, each hit respawns it in a new location - hit X dummies.
Cup and balls trick - The room reward is hidden under 1 of 3 giant "cups" which mix up in front of you. Hit the correct one 3 times to reveal the reward - get it wrong and the cup will reveal the beloved onion.
Dash challenge - akin to Driving games with checkpoints you have to hit. Dash through a series of waypoints before the time runs out.
Maybe even Weapon specific challenges? Example for bow - room is a circular arena, player stood in middle. Also, the old system is that once you switch out off keepsake, it’s lock. So you could only get extra 15 health once after a boss fight. It wasn’t a big deal if we have like half a dozen boss to go through. This new keepsake system has a potential to screw up our whole run.
This is why I think they shouldn’t bother. Just make more content and wait for the exploit to become irrelevant.

Yep, regional pricing. Still don't know if it's done by SGG through Epic or by Epic themselves, but in both cases, it's a nice gesture.
If you look on the store at the game's price, you should see a difference of 10 dollars with the price you paid.

Hi @alpine silo — sorry about any misunderstanding here with the #hades-feedback process. I read every single piece of feedback there and try to mark it as we go to give the community the assurance that we consider all of it. We will be periodically deleting feedback for a number of reasons:
- it’s a bug
- it’s a duplicate
- we can’t act on it as written (because it is a direct suggestion as opposed to being experiential feedback)
- we can’t reply to it without giving more context (the emojis aren't sufficient)
- it’s old and no longer directly relevant (this is the eventual fate of all feedback -- eventually it all gets removed)
The most important thing about the channel is that it provides a community conduit for relevant, current feedback about the state of the game. We expect to sometimes see the same things pop up again and we'll continue to consider it and prune the channel as we go. Thank you for all your entries there everyone!
Once we lock #hades-feedback in anticipation of the next update, I'll be sure to mention all this there too so it's less of a surprise when feedback is removed.

Hi there!
The Epic launcher is required in order to install updates for the game, so you shouldn't uninstall it. But otherwise, no, you will not need to use it or run it at the same time as Hades.
(As a side note, the shortcut it will make on your desktop does run through the launcher, so if you'd like a direct (offline) shortcut, you can make one yourself by finding the .exe file in your program files)

Too late to help you much with the sword, but next time you unlock a new weapon or boon, just take as long as you need in the first room or an empty one to experiment and learn its quirks before continuing

So you can't just pass your copy of a game to a friend,
They have to buy their own copy
DRM does help prevent piracy but also messes with people who use multiple devices or want to give their game to a friend once they're finished with it

I was playing with the spear and I saw that one of the hammer ups is a 50% crit chance with the special. How would that interact with the artemis special upgrade? Also, would it be affected by clean kill?

It took a solid year and a half just to get Asphodel and Tartarus up to launch day state
Another area will likely take several more months
So yeah, I'd say balance changes will continue, there will be added polish to existing stuff, more than likely some new artwork, and maybe new areas or mechanics in existing rooms as well as combat changes
None of that is guaranteed, I'm not word of god and I swear, cross my heart that I'm not reporting ~big secrets~
this is just the stuff SGG has already listed as being generally part of major updates

I am a big fan of controller since dashing is so integral in the game, having a full 360 degrees of control on your angle is important
Compared to the octo-directional dash you get from using keyboard
you could dash with mouse as well but that seems to not be a lot of peoples preference

Hey Patrick! On Discord, the general way to attach images is via the + sign to the left of the text box. In some cases however, like this one, we have direct image posting turned off to deter spam.

Sometimes when I pause during a run, I get the "Give Up" option, but sometimes I just have the "Quit" option that leaves the game and saves my progress. What affects that?

I've never used it but I'm pretty sure 'give up' returns you to the House, as if you'd died during your run
Whether it gives you that option or quit and save presumably depends on whether the room is empty

The game only allows you to Quit before you take damage or after you collect the reward. Otherwise, Give Up will appear and you will reset progress for that run to before it started

You can only see it if you dash behind the counter and hug the wall but it isn't really hidden
and I can't really tell if it's meant to just be a decorative detail or if it's a hint at a room being there that they haven't fully revealed yet
When you dash to that spot to the first time, there's one of those little sparkly things an the narrator talks about the door to Hades' wine cellar,
so I wouldn't be surprised if they let us unlock it some time down the line, like with the lobby, and presumably those doors at the other end of the house
