Similar thing happened to me. The Asphodel witches unexpectedly turned the game into something like a bullet hell. Lost my chances there so when I did face [second boss] I lost. I did really good though thanks to life-steal on sword sustaining me forever. Got it down to 25% health.

I find some things walking out of the way is faster than dashing due to it's start-up frames which is where I'm assuming you're getting hit I used to get hit at the beginning of dashes too or even during them.

@nocturne ore There’s two areas in-game with a boss each but you can’t go any further past that. There’s no limit to how many runs you can do, though, so if you decide you want to grind Darkness to get upgrades or get Ambrosia for gifts or just try out a ton of different builds then you can do that.

Are Supergiant still using in-house rendering tech and what not for Hades? (as opposed to, i suppose, unreal/unity)
Is there any plans for a roadmap or something like that? I'm just really curious about where it's going - for example I'm excited about the potential of the sort of 'procedural' narrative - like what Pyre did and Hades seem to do (to a different extent/effect). Like.. any the posibility of some high-concept narrative getting involved further down Hades? Etc.

Hey @agile zodiac yeah, we are still using our in-house engine to develop Hades. We don't have plans at the moment for a public roadmap, but that's something to consider as development continues. As far as the narrative of Hades, Greg Kasavin (who wrote all our previous games) is writing this one, too! I can't speak to your exact expectations, though. You'll just have to stay tuned!

That said what I was mainly interested in was whether there are plans to have the core mechanics intertwine with the narrative in a more fundamental way than currently. I felt like i pinpointed supergiants primary strength before, and I think I stand by it still: Just the command they have over narrative, audio, gameplay and visuals to the point where those elements are played like instruments composing a song (we're in metaphor territory now if you missed the transition) that's of a piece... Where my take on most games is these different elements are really largely isolated.

Hey guys, had a quick question regarding the auto save feature with Hades. It just doesn't work, it keeps telling me it failed and to retry. I'm on a brand new computer so I know I have space. Any ideas to what might be causing the error message?

Hades saves into your documents folder, which is sometimes auto-protected by windows defender
Have you tried turning windows defender off?

ok, so I have a file in the documents tab and it looks like the game, the save file, and everything else I can find relating to the game has complete access. Still getting the same error in game though. Only game I've had issues with too.

Still no luck, I turned off windows defender and my bitdefender software as well. added all the files for Hades to an exceptions list and still nothing. Still playing around with it, but I'll update if anything changes.
