the first game's graphics are pre-rendered at 1080p, the sequel uses actual 3D models rendered in real time, so it scales up great to 1440p/4K etc, whereas 1 will be blurry because it's 2D sprites

also hera gets trippy flare from dio bc you can't lob his cast out the end of an arrow
(which also gets the 100% mirage shot damage bug bc the bug is specific to flares, not beo)

but if you want the ones tailored for heat they’re in Bananas heat guide pinned in #h1-high-heat-strategies
Zeus has a few options tbf
You could really use any special it’s just picking your second god from there based on said special
like zeus special is going to be aphrodite most of the time for weak and smouldering air
while ares special is divine strike and probably divine dash for Merciful End
Artemis special is going to need a load of extra chaos additive but otherwise aphrodite/athena is really solid for your strike for their duos and defensive secondary boons

And then buff said attacks to oblivion
Flat damage for weak attacks, % increase for strong ones as a rule of thumb
For example, fists do a lot of weak attacks, so something like Zeus that adds flat damage would be better than a % increase to the base 15 damage
But something like bow attack does a lot of damage and would be better off with a % increase

Each character has a “favour” to complete and Achilles is one of the longest and dependent on some other npcs
they’re all detailed on the npcs respective fandom wiki page under the “affinity” section but off the dome, achilles requires you to have already completed either Sisyphus or Orpheus’s favour where you dig up their contract/punishment with nyx
and then she’ll do the same for Achilles after a lot of dialogue between achilles andpatroclus

To be clear, there are like... 2 high heat holdouts (Scratch, Phantom) who use or at some point used mort to great effect, but Battie is generally considered to be more reliable for the reasons Frei mentioned. Mort also sees some use in Loyalty Card speedruns, as it deals almost enough damage to immediately beat Charon's last phase, requiring only one or two extra hits by the player.

^ usually ds, but there are some rare situations in high heat specifically where doing a standing strike and dashing out of it (or not moving at all) can be better (mainly when terrified, to keep dash iframes)

part of the optimal damage-rotation: you can dash->dash-> to bridge the gap between the special/reload and the moment you finally get to use the empowered strike

whether a dashstrike or standing strike happens, on any aspect, is just determined by how soon you press attack after a dash
in the image, special / attack / reload are well-spaced but in practice one presses all three at a similar time (still need the attack-input to go through before the reload obviously)

able to scroll down before a dashstrike, the timing lines up nicely enough. by the time the index-finger lands on leftclick after scrolling, the second dash in the sequence is finished and I'm able to transform it into a delayed dashstrike
this is definitely not the only good set of binds, not by a longshot, but having reload somewhere that's not the keyboard is incredibly important on this aspect especially. usually cast occupies rightclick, and it's gotta go somewhere (preferably on the mouse)
