one "tip" is to use stubborn defience, at that point damage in normal rooms is effectively a non issue and you can just go gung ho

but that is provided that you can get through boss fights with stubborn

Fists: demeter (needs more levels)
Rail: eris (always good) or hestia (hestia needs lots of levels)

you’re going to want to put most of your poms on it

given your chiron is low level, relentless volley is more impactful than concentrated volley so I’d prioritise that first if you have to pick between the two

This is also a hangover build so you can use priviledged status on the mirror

take the miniboss tunnels first (the ones with skulls on the door), they’re going to be quicker and less dangerous than the regular rooms (and you get an upgraded reward)

tidal dash actually obliterates styx

make sure you know where the little cure fountains are so you can get rid of your poison asap

If you’re not already running cthonic vitalty on the mirror (purple equivalent to dark regen), it gives you like 30hp worth of value in styx at a minimum

where dark regen just isn’t that useful over an entire run ngl

Im having trouble getting through elysium, and some one give me any tips, im mostly struggling at asterius.

He basically has two attacks. One is that 3 part sequence which you can dash through, divine dash might help! The other is when he charges at you (and does an animation where he drags his foot before.) and you can try and run him into the wall or into any pillars. Defo get him vefore going for Theseus, but watch the little cross hair marking that shows if theseus is aboyt to strike

your build is essentially
start with flood flare from pos (his cast)
find artemis for your strike (or somewhere else but ideally strike)
hit mirage shot (which is bugged to deal 100% damage with flares instead of 30%)

and then aside from that’s it’s classic extra components

artemis secondaries let you do stupid crit chains

zeus or dio are solid dps calls if you don’t have Hades keepsake yet

aphro strike opens smouldering air for you to pop off harder with zeus or dio call depending on what you find

Zeus boons you’re looking for static discharge, double strike, splitting bolt and high voltage is a fun option that at least opens splitting bolt

That’s wholy different and would be determined by the build for which keepsake you start with

If we’re talking base spear with no aspects, it’s got a decently fast attack speed so you can definitely run flat damage strikes.
start with zeus’s keepsake to find zeus strike and look for the static discharge, storm lightning and then splitting bolt secondary boons from him
then, if you see poseidon, grab him, otherwise you need to swap to poseidons keepsake in asphodel, where you want to aim for tidal dash just from it’s sheer strength and damage output

this should be more consistent than a merciful end/ duo centered build while being pretty simple to put together for decent dps

You really want to find the flurry jab hammer, so avoid taking any spin related hammers, those lock you out of it

and the other “jab” hammers are also going to be your friend

Hermes is going to be like

hyper sprint -> rush delivery is a big raw dps boost since you gain a ton of movement speed after dashing thanks to hyper sprint

which rush delivery converts into a ton of global +% additive damage multipliers

greatest reflex gives you more dashes so you can make more dash-strikes in a row and generally have more mobility

which boosts your dps

if these fail, then swift strike isn’t a horrid option

I mention Hermes specifically because he works differently from other gods so you’ll always be able to get up to 2 boons from him

regardless of how many other gods you have

is this the intended route? first, start with pos keepsake and get the cast. try to find artemis and put her on strike, if shes not in tart then use her keepsake and do it. for elysium, i was wondering what keepsake to use? was thinking charon if the pool there is good, but if it isnt should i still do charon or do smth like pom? and for styx, id run hades if i dont have a call (which is optimally zeus) and if i do then charon i suppose

also should i use any heat when speedrunning? i heard forced overtime could be good

Charon for elysium is good yeah, even if your initial well is bad you can still buy anything from the wells in the biome itself, then the well before styx, at which point you can then swap to something else

Avoid zeus call, opens up rod so worse mirage odds from arty

(and you don't create call fast enough to use it to full potential)

Fo2 makes enemies come to you quicker and spawn in faster so it saves you a bunch of time, and makes enemies take jolted damage more frequently for builds that care

Em2 makes it way easier to damage multiple heads in the lernie fight by bunching them all up in a smaller arena
