you're imagining things, controller attacks / dashstrikes and so on go the same way zag is facing, sure, but unless you're using the D-Pad on controller like an insane person zag's movement and attacks on controller should both have 360° of freedom.

so it's possible to clear 0 heat on a weapon, unlock the pact, then skip 0 heat on every other weapon and do 0 heat on those other weapons last

From my personal experience with the RNG. It tends to appear a lot after Elysium, in the temple of Styx rooms.

It costs 200 as well btw. So make sure you always have that much on you

you cannot get hermes as you cannot gift firt-time boons, you cannot gift shop boons either
no dememter since that requires the surface
no fishing rod since that requires temple of styx
no deluxe contractors table since that requires elysium...
thanatos requires elysium, same with petrolus
no hermes or eurydice cause of asphodel
and with all their keepsakes, of course you have to donate to get them, and see them to donate

you complete a lot of the annoying fates like all standard boons, all hammers, and get major boost towards the story progress in post 10 wins
exhaust all of the dialogue, letting you to get to unlock dialogue quicker when you need it
unlock all standard weapons
you're guaranteed a "win" to the first lava in asphodel since the game gets so easy so fast
Cons:
Boring AF
exhaust all of the dialogue, adds to the staleness

🤷 as with many things in hades the videogame, the solution to problems is often just to keep playing. you've, as far as I'm aware, done all you need to do, the rest is dialogue rng (or other dialogue that has been assigned higher "priority").

there is a bit of intrinsic objective truth in that (at equal difficulty-level, hades 1 is usually considered harder by those who've actively ran both. hades 1's enemies are a bit less balanced, some enemy-weights are much lower than they should be: the unarmored brightswords of elysium and the unarmored tartarus witches come to mind), but I suspect it's also just a lack of familiarity on your part.

it's also much easier to get damage in hades 2 (the boons in that game are on average stronger), making hades 1 rooms appear longer than they really are in comparison.

As someone who switched from Hades 1, became a sweat in 2, and came back to 1. It’s less that the enemies are harder (quite the opposite, Hades 2 definitely has harder boss fights especially). And it’s more so to do with Hades 1 being a lot harder to progress in and get stronger.

In hades 2, it is easier to build a very OP build because you can unlock the arcana cards very easily, and the weapons are a lot better than the Hades 1 ones. And you just overall get used to Mel’s playstyle very quickly.

With Zagreus, I found myself progressing too quickly, too fast, to the point the character was too weak to keep up (for reference, I had already brought Persephone back in less than 20 runs).

Hades 2 is harder but easier to make cracked builds is the best way to explain it in simple terms

It is also just overall harder to farm resources in hades 1. In Hades 2 you can easily buy most shi. Getting nectar in Hades 1 to gift to friends is definitely a task
