The damage just worked out that way. Calls do not interact with your hp but they give you iframes. That's why lesser calls are generally the way. So it mightve saved you from a hit but has nothing to do with the hp

Yea Aphrodite and Artemis are the main ones where the greater call is somewhat better, but in small rooms you wont get a chance to accumulate that much

So its just a panic button

first real try with bow as well, didnt really have a build idea in mind so i went with dash strike dmg bc its the best part of the kit and then crit, weak, and chill kinda

yeah you mainly just want good hammers (easy, 6/12 bow hammers are really impactful for strike builds), chaos strike and dash-strike damage and a +% strike (artemis or aphrodite usually)

You can use hunter dash but something like tidal dash is typically a bit more useful for hitting a bunch of little guys in aoe (absolutely wrecks styx) since you already have good damage

i) Aphrodite’s final heart won’t unlock. I fully filled the heart gauges of Megaera, Thanatos and Dusa, but I don’t get the option of giving Aphrodite ambrosia. She has not even acknowledged the last two romances in dialogue, despite having like 5 opportunities to do so

ii) I gained 4 loyalty cards from ||Charon|| and had great discounts for a while, but the discounts are now gone

hey. may I ask what the most reliable strategy or if anyone has tips for the hades fight? im using chiron bow recently switched off of shield and its super duper fun buit I haven't been able to clear that fight more than once in my 5 attempts so far. i get there with my defiances and a bunch of health and just blow through it all and can't seem to dodge his attacks like the other bosses

also another question more related to progression: is doing heat to any capacity required for getting all the achievements or content in the game? or is it just a faster alternative to getting the 1200 for the final shop

Just going and getting your bounties is often a bit better yes

because otherwise half your runs are just in vain

since it’s only a titans blood 50% of the time

going up in heat by 1 in each makes it rather manageable

i think my main problem is I suck at dodging 😭 like the speedrun heat modifier is super free but using bow im dying so fast while shield just blocks everything

The one thing I can think of is that you’re using chiron of all the bows and that special takes 8 years

Guys am I softlocked from progressing the game? I got the key from Achilles to unlock the chamber, but it's still locked, and my bond level with Nyx and Megaera is still 1, is that the cause?

And I can't even go to Zagreus's room too,

my favorite thing to pick up is the +4 special bullets with the hammer then my goal is to pair it with any 2 status makers for the extra 40% but perferably attack inflicts doom and either Aphrodite's weak because it has great base damage or hangover

but i havent done too many runs yet this one just seems super fun

one thing i wanna ask though is when someone asks what build im using, is there a way to guarantee or almost guarantee a build? like for example i really like the +4 daedalus but I can't get it every run so I can never really reliably get the same build everytime
