Every Achilles user uses the special
They incorporate it into their rotation (double dash strike, special. Vary depending on context)
Achilles has no way of upgrading its special damage, but the ability to hyper-boost its next four attacks/casts is extraordinarily powerful
And flurry jab is just so ungodly broken that it’s a must use on Achilles
So in short, they use both! Special to boost the attack, attack to deal ungodly damage

If you have Athena on it, you can clear every projectile somewhat ahead of you and deflect it
That being said, be wary that this is genuinely the clunkiest aspect in the game imo. So keep space between you and your opponent.

Attack and dash strike spam, similar to the fists. Just remember to special every chance you get if you don’t have the buff up.
Just having Zeus attack and Poseidon strike will still make it strong, just not exceptional. I’d recommend making it a castpect at that point (my fav way to build it)
- The only boon I consistently take is Poseidon dash

Sort, of, there are various measures for 100% completion though even people going for this will generally leave off attempting max heat because that's a hard-as-balls superchallenge that idk if has actually even been done legitimately.
Without measuring it by challenge runs you can basically get ~100% content (save idk maybe some dialogue options) by maxing all relationships, doing all prophecies, filling the Codex, buying all the stuff at the Contractor, and getting the random stuff from the Resource director, getting all the rewards up through 20 heat (the cap) for each weapon, maxing out your keepsakes and companions, and getting at least 1 32 Heat run to get the statue associated, getting all of which will take at least 126 wins and idk how many total runs.
The fact that if you include run rewards in 100% completion this demands 126 wins is funny though, heh

One by AngeL1C with Zeus shield, one by a chinese player I thus don't have the keyboard to type the name out (but often goes by "bai") again with Zeus shield, and one by PlayAd using Rama bow. Additionally, there are also over a dozen 64 wins using the speedrunning modpack. No signs of cheating were detected, and that's as good of a standard we can reasonably ask for when it comes to legitimacy.

Second of all, how good a weapon is heavily depends on how well it meshes with YOU. For example, I consider the shield to be the best weapon in the game, but I HATE using it. It took me after my 135th escape attempt to even beat the game with the shield.

When you take a boon from a new god they are added to a pool.
-this pool can contain 4 gods-
Chaos and Hermes boons don't count for this
Once 4 gods are taken in this pool, the rest will disappear from the run. (As a note, selling all boons from a god will not remove the god from your pool.
What this means for runs is that you have better chances at seeing the gods you do care about and their duos. Before the good pool is closed you have a 1 in 7* ||or 8 once demeter is unlocked|| to be the god you want, with the pool closed, you increase your chance to 1 in 4.

-Using a god keepsake (keepsake of one of the main gods, forces next boon to be them) of a god not in pool will force the god regardless and add them to the pool.

So there's a maximum of four gods that you can get boons from per run
