I think the main issue with your reliability on minotaur is just how uncommon it is to take it so you’re often not used to aiming for that time window

with bow it’s like muscle memory because you do it every time and it’s the same timing so it’s just a rhythm

but shield takes so long to full-charge and most of the time you’re just better off not full-charging

also shield has 2 different hammers that reduce the charge time so it’s inconsistent on when it hits max even then

• list of minor prophecies.
• Charon may sell one blood for 1200 gold at the last area shop

If you want to try to get a bit more practice in against him, you can try to stop attacking him whatsoever and just focus on dodging his attacks to get that down

Another tip I’d have for staying alive is like

Hyper Sprint from Hermes and the weak effect from aphrodite on an enemy works out to be 51% damage reduction (aka you’re taking less than half the damage)

Slowing the game down would also make it harder for you to actually get the timing right for bosses moves

Because you’d be practicing against the wrong timing

the best you can really do is just get a bunch of damage resistance and focus on learning to dodge the bosses attacks rather than attacking

That should extend by far how many attacks you can practice against per run

There are some like

relatively easy combinations you can put together to vastly increase how long you’ll live

hyper sprint from hermes gives you 30% damage reduction and the weak effect from Aphrodite does 30% damage reduction so you effectively have 51% damage reduction

which means you take less than half the damage for enemy attacks

and pretty much every weapon has a half-decent core to put Aphrodite on

sword can put it on either strike or special, spear… it’s a bit rough but you can put it on strike, or special, shield can put it on strike (or zeus shield can put it on special), bow puts it on strike, fists put it on special, rail puts it on special

Stubborn roots also means you can indefinitely practice against bosses

It’s just slow regen so you can’t be taking hits too often

If you’re looking for something to break up the monotomy of just running for one build, Achilles can just start with Tidal Dash and will end up piecing together one of two builds

If you find either artemis or Ares in tartarus, you’re taking arte strike, or slicing shot, and bringing the other’s keepsake into Asphodel

and aiming for hunting blades

If you find zeus or athena, you take zeus strike or phalanx shot and aim for lightning phalanx

the hammers you want to get first and foremost are flurry jab > triple jab and/or extending jab

although serrated point can be used as a discount flurry jab, triple and extending jab won’t really do much for you at all if you take it
