Artemis' is firmly in the lower half of cast-strength afaik, but not the worst.

• Aphrodite's has best pomming (fine on everything, great on beowulf, best on hera)

• Poseidon's has solid AoE, alright damage, opens up sea storm, opens up breaking wave, opens up and can apply razor shoals (best on beowulf and rama, fine on everything else)

• Zeus' opens and applies static discharge, opens lightning rod, has synergy with lightning rod, and is the best cast in the front-half of the game due to the distance of its bounces. It also doesn't get in the way of ME (Great on any ZAP build, bad on everything else.

• Dionysus' has a lot of base damage and has solid AoE. It also opens no intrusive boons when building ME. It also opens Exclusive Access without requiring a hangover-core, which may be useful on poseidon dash builds. (Third-best on beowulf, great on melee weapons except maybe poseidon)

• Athena's opens Lightning Phalanx. It also opens the two defiance refill boons, which makes it one of the best choices in high heat. Doesn't get in the way of ME. (Best on poseidon, decent on hera, ok on everything else)

• Ares' can get hunting blades, which by itself makes it a great pick (best on achilles, fine everywhere else except hera and beowulf and maybe poseidon)

• Artemis' cast opens lightning rod and mirage shot but has direct anti-synergy with this idea, has no AoE (and has only a tiny AoE on beowulf), opens hunter's mark and the other crit-buff boons but isn't good at applying them, opens deadly reversal which makes it risky on Merciful End builds, and opens mirage shot which makes it risky on any build that uses poseidon (such as with the very common ZAP strategies).

• Demeter's cast doesn't get in the way of ME or ZAP builds. That is the extent of nice things I can say about it. (Mediocre at best on everything LMAO)

If you mean zeus leg, that can help but one would rather have a higher chance of acquiring a high rarity poseidon dash or zeus static discharge or even hermes rush delivery

If you mean poseidon's legs, then no you should probably avoid that one anyway as it's not that strong

Also don't forget that the classic Zeus Artemis Poseidon strategy (ZAP) - that eris uses - contains Artemis. If you can get the lightning rod duoboon between Zeus and Artemis, that's probably on-par with Zeus' Splitting Bolt legendary

You'll get it eventually. Just keep trying I would say. If you feel a bit lost maybe try looking at better runners and how they clear rooms. I would say its too early to reset aggressively or learn spawn manips. Sometimes the build is rough or the enemies are bad, not much you can do about it.

The Eris with Zeus Poseidon that you're going for is really good. If you want to switch things up you can try Hera with Crush shot or Beowulf with Flood Flare and Mirage shot. It'll feel quite different tho if you're only used to Eris. Cast builds can be more punishing if you dont manage your casts well and scale them enough to keep up with bosses.

You can also look at ways to improve your Eris build, maybe there are things you're not actively going for/prioritizing. Eris with bad hammers and minimal scaling suffers hard against bosses. You dont dish out your dmg instantly like cast builds do.

You don’t need to do anything aside from basic gameplay to reach the credits

you also don’t need to borrow from Charon to finish the epilogue

Now there are 1 or 2 things in game that are dependent on you actually borrowing from Charon but they aren’t core to the story

it’s an in-run bonus of obols (obviously) and something that makes those obols go a bit farther for the rest of the run

(Probably not going to get every heat reward for every weapon and don't need to see every line of dialogue in the game. i may not get every fish codex entry completed either given I still have 5 undiscovered fish and that sounds like a lot of grinding LMAO)

I'm getting close to the epilogue, I think. I have 51/63 olympian "hearts" and Hypnos, Achilles, and ||Patroclus|| are the only characters who have locked hearts otherwise.

or 25 heat if you’re on Hellmode (because the default heat for hellmode is 5)

Tbh it’s not that bad

A lot of the difficulty comes from being unfamiliar with the patterns and the fact that you might end up taking the bag in tartarus or asphodel for the first time, where he’s just as difficult as when you fight him in elysium with your build together

ofc facing him earlier is better because then the 300 obols and 20% discount you get for the remainder of the run then gets a ton more mileage

If you want some tips for actually catching fish, real bobs always happen with 1-2s of the last bob or activating fishing, while fake bobs are 2-5s after the last bob

so

you can roughly tell if it’s a real bob based on how much time has passed

and the 4th bob will always be a real bob if you get that far
