for example, if i want to get nectar, is my best use of reroll in a room with 2 non-nectar currency doors (like dark and gems) since the reroll cannot be dark/gem and therefore is about 50/50 to be nectar or key?
(whereas if i reroll in a room with a single exit like dark, then the result could be gem, key or nectar and thus the reroll is less likely to get what I want)

similar if i want a specific kind of run benefit (like a specific boon or heart) should I reroll in a room that has 3 rewards that I don't want? [understanding that it's more complicated for some situations like hammer/hermes/already-have-4-gods etc]

No, it’s just that you recieve darkness and gemstones in a more efficient manner the faster your run was

Given Hades drops a ton of it, your time spent -> darkness gained is way higher if you’re playing faster

that’s why I typically also recommend not following dark thirst and just playing your fastest weapon when darkness/gemstone farming

Dark thirst is interesting spice but if you have one weapon you’re particularly good with

thanks for the recommendations. I've tried Outer Wilds and it wasn't for me for some reason. Felt too isolated and boring. The Witness seems different though because it's localized to an island, but the puzzles might get frustrating if I can't solve them, lol. Might give it a go. 3. common points to reach for are 16(last heat related steam achievement), 32(last statue), 50(nice round number), 50 all weapons/aspects(nice number on more stuff), and past that it's kinda whatever you want

Because there's one drink dialogue related to the quest, and another that's nit so much. That dialogue is meant to happen before the "risk it all" one tho

But this one is before the "risk it all" one
