They're different variations on weapons

Generally fast/low base dmg = stuff like Zeus Dionysus etc, high base dmg = stuff like Artemis Aphrodite etc

Thats a fine way to pick boons at a glance when trying to fill an attack or special.

I've found that effects that deal extra damage on fists are very good no matter how low the damage is since the fist's base damage is super low too

It’s actually very good in most situations, it’s a bit annoying on Cast weapons. For supporting stuff you kinda have a lot to choose from, main ones would be Tidal Dash, Jolted, and a strong call like Dio or Zeus. Arty is nice but she wont offer you something directly useful aside from the Special, which is gud if you’re on Dem but not too noticeable on other aspects.

You can go for the traditional ZAP build. Start Zeus, try to pick up Artemis or Aphrodite for the Special, force Poseidon in Asphodel and take Dash. It doesn’t need to go exactly like that, Athena and Dem can be solid Special picks, and Blade dash is decent and Divine Dash is very good defensively. And yea just the usual supporting stuff alongside that.

Or you could go for Merciful End but it can be a bit more inconsistent but it’s by far the best dps build for Fists.

#1 boon you're looking for in any Lightning Strike build is Static Discharge. Ideally at high rarity. And put some poms on Static Discharge when you get it.

And the rest of the build can vary in the ways MiKE explained already.

You'll want Static Discharge with poms and ideally some global damage buffs like Hyper Sprint + Rush Delivery or Billowing Strength (ideally with Smoldering Air).

I don't actually take artemis that often on the special (mostly because it doesn't really apply any status effects and I usually try going for pressure points and marks for crits anyways)

And since you want global damage buffs to buff your lightning damage anyway, other flat damage sources like Tidal Dash etc. work very well in the build.

Pressure Points and/or Deadly Flourish + Hunter's Mark also great because that will also buff your lightning damage.

It’s good damage. On Demeter Fists you’ll usually be running Family Favorite so shouldnt care too much about status effects.

Drunken Strike is only really used in high heat sometimes because that's where we have to deal with AP2 and stuff.

Lightning Strike + Static Discharge is already way better.

But in high heat with AP2, actually getting Static Discharge after Lightning Strike is very unlikely.

So starting Drunken Strike and just putting poms on that is a bit more resilient in those conditions.

@rose trench and yeah, Privileged Status is basically only used when you start the build with Hangover or Chill. If you start with Weak, then Privileged Status and Family Favorite both have own their benefits, like for example a Heart Rend build works better with Family Favorite but Low Tolerance would work better with Privileged Status.

If you start with any other god, Family Favorite is always the meta.
