Only issue is that Flood Shot favors Infernal Soul and Blizzard Shot favors Stygian Soul lol.

You'll usually want to build Flood Shot into Blizzard Shot.
I mostly just played to check out the weapon

But cast still did good damage with flood shot + typhon fury + wave pounding
Didn't know about blizzard shot and I didn't get it

I guess a route that synergizes better with the aspect is to get Flood Shot + Deadly Strike/Flourish and get Mirage Shot.
And then Exit Wounds probably because Flood Shot kinda lacks damage regardless.
And then you'd play it more as melee/Cast hybrid when necessary rather than pure Cast.
And avoid both Blizzard Shot and Curse of Drowning. Neither of them lodges.
Although... if you don't have Exit Wounds yet, then picking up Blizzard Shot along with Mirage Shot could be good.
Gives you some room to pivot.
Other good pick-ups would be Lady Aphrodite for Sweet Nectar and Heart Rend, Lord Zeus for Lightning Rod and Sea Storm...
Just brainstorming, I haven't played Flood Shot Poseidon Aspect in a year or two probably lol.
Snow Burst and Ravenous Will always nice in Cast builds.

i think hades wiki's biggest problem is that a lot of people have a lot of things they want to see on the wiki but no one wants to contribute to it, so its always been just a handful of people doing edits here and there

If you are using stubborn defiance, note that if you lose your sd and then pick up an athena boon that gives a dd you will get a dd underneath your stubborn defiance

I just did a run with 10% bonus special speed thinking nothing of it and it seemed to completely throw off the timing of the special > dash strike > dash strike combo.

I was getting basically no dash strikes until I delayed the input a bit, and even then managed to get dash strikes about only 50% of the time instead of the normal 100% of the time.
I feel robbed. My 32 heat run was going so well. I didn't think that 10% would completely mess up the combo.

I personally prefer dark regen most of the time because it can net a whole lot more healing than vitality. That said, regen is not too feasible for higher difficulties because you may not have the time to pick up troves and bosses may not yield darkness, but their usual bounties. Also Lasting Consequences

If you're getting stronger builds with Authority, it's because of inadequate tactics when you're using Persuasion, not because Authority can be better. As much as I would love if they were somehow equal.
Putting that aside, though, just because somebody is less experienced or playing with god mode or whatever doesn't mean they can't share their perspective. And in my limited experience at least, Esc_apade generally tries to consider the opposing views and tries to understand why something is "meta" or whatever, even if the explanation might not make sense to him from his perspective.

Thing is... Lord Hermes has some incredibly strong boons like Greatest Reflex, Hyper Sprint, Second Wind... and then he has other boons that are hot garbage. And you only get two of them in a run (50% chance to get to buy one in Styx shop, but that's at the very end of the run). So with Authority, you're offered 6 options in a run. With Persuasion, you can be offered 12, 15, 18... way better chances to get the kind of boons from him that will carry your run.
Adding to that, if the boon you pick up has increased rarity from a Yarn of Ariadne or Refreshing Nectar... and maybe you also have their keepsake equipped for even better rarity and really high Duo Boon odds... if you have Authority, you get 3 options and that's it. With Persuasion, you can reroll and the new 3 options still have that increased rarity. That's way better odds to get the Duo Boons you want, and if you want something else like say... Dionysus' Aid, and he doesn't offer it the first time, you reroll, and now you might see Dionysus' Aid and it'll have that increased rarity, whereas if you have Authority you'd have to hope to pick it up later and then it might just be common.
Also for t2 status curses like Static Discharge or Hunter's Mark, which are always very strong in builds that run those gods, you normally have a 50% chance of being offered that when you pick a boon from them. But if you have Persuasion and are willing to reroll once if you don't see it, your chances of seeing the t2 curse are now 75%.
A glaring weakness of Authority is if you want to reroll a gold laurel exit for a specific god, and that door is not a miniboss... the options that you can roll into are polluted with obols, poms, etc. If you reroll miniboss doors, the odds of getting the god you want are at least way better because there's a limited god pool and miniboss doors can only offer boons. But that doesn't get you more boons, it just gets you more of one god at the expense of others, which has... limited value.
