No, they're just more predictable fights and give better rewards.

Because they’re quicker
Some of the final rooms for non-miniboss tunnels can chew your Hp up
With the saw traps and the poison

Basically like let's say the ratio of gold laurel rewards to blue laurel rewards is normally 50:50.
Dark Foresight gives +20%.
Which changes the ratio to 70:30.
Which isn't just a 20% increase in gold laurel rewards... You actually get 40% more.
