You can keep Hades charmed for essentially the whole fight if your Call is leveled a bit. Charm application is basically instant, and the charm duration doesn't count towards call duration, so you can build back god gauge right away. Athena's Aid doesn't build god gauge over its duration. Overrated call, was much better before its pom scaling got nerfed.

Aside from that just being intentional about your build

Take free rooms that you see whenever you see them (chaos rooms, story rooms, shops)

Take minibosses in styx first

Be careful about taking those chaos rooms that you don’t take roiling because roiling is yikes(it’s the one that causes you to have to face more enemies)

Spend obols to make time

Time is money so the less money you have at the end of the run the lower your end time
The sooner you benefit from boons or well items the sooner you’re saving time

i'd reccomend that if you actually want to understand how a hades speedrun works look at the modded wr with beo
it's a low apm weapon so you can understand what they're doing and the microstrategies they're employing compared to, say, achilles

learn the optimal speedrun build and keepsake route for your aspect too, decision-making is half the battle

you cannot react in time to power shot visual cues, even on rama, in combat. it has to be learned. it's always the same exact timing as long as you're dash striking, so once you learn the timing, you're good. but practice in the courtyard and in tartarus before you start taking it on real runs. you have to master power shots to get results with rama

Sometimes it boils down to rarity for resale later

Using nemesis as an example, the wiki just confused me because I don't know if the first number for titan blood is the buy cost or the first level up

Buy cost = first level up

You wouldn’t unlock nemesis to have 0 levels in it

Unlocking it is the first level
