The comic cons I've been to had some game stuff, some cosplay photo shoots, artist alley (or whatever they call the art booths) is usually an awesome place to visit. Some have had MTG tournaments, or other card games. Usually a lot of merch at various company and franchise booths. Plushies were frequently in high demand.
Some people... aren't always the best at personal hygiene (or using deodorant of some sort), so be prepared for that. It's never been actually noxious at any of the cons I've been to, but I've heard stories.
Don't leave your stuff unattended, but people are usually very friendly, they're usually excited to be there and talk about their favorite things or something interesting to them.
Cosplayers (usually) love to have their picture taken, so don't be afraid to ask them, even if you don't know who someone is supposed to be.
