Thankfully, the only casualty seems to have been a protesting woman who was shot by law enforcement, and there don’t seem to have been any major injuries outside of that instance, so it seems the situation has developed surprisingly well so far, given the circumstances.
Senators were just in the middle of objecting to Arizona’s electors, too, so, if they weren’t going to just not do this, I wish they would have waited a bit.
In any event, Congress will be reconvening soon, so we’ll see what would have happened, I guess.
Haven’t heard about other protests, though. I’m only aware of the one in DC that seems under control now.

Yeah, Hades is more about balance and justice as far as Greek gods go. He’s stern and cold, and he’s primarily occupied with the Underworld, but he’s not really evil. He’s just sort of passive.
As far as I know, he never really did anything wrong even by today’s standards.
The Rape of Persephone is questionable, depending upon how you interpret it, but it was the most stable relationship in the Greek pantheon, Persephone is often depicted as the (part-time) queen of the Underworld, and there’s not much to suggest in most accounts of the story that it was against Persephone’s will.
Also, according to my Latin teacher, who majored in classics, Hades’s personification in Greek mythology is kind of at odds with things like lust, sexual desire, and procreation. He is, after all, mainly concerned with people who have passed on. Hades’s infatuation with Persephone isn’t really sexually explicit in nature, as far as I know, and, unlike many divine pairings, they never had any children. That’s all just to say that asserting that something sexually offensive occurred between Hades and Persephone is iffy at best.
The fact of the matter, though, is that the Greek myth doesn’t really have all that much to say about Persephone’s opinion on the matter. Zeus, her father, consented to her marriage to Hades, so, as far as the Greeks were concerned, it was a valid marriage. Anything beyond that is just conjecture, and I’m purely hypothesizing based on what I’ve been told and other, peripheral information in the Greek mythos.
This game’s depiction of Zagreus as the son of Hades and ||Persephone|| is actually unique, as far as I know. Zagreus in general is a very obscure figure, and there’s not really much to go off of.
He’s sometimes identified with the Orphic Dionysus, who is very, very different from the standard Dionysus. I really don’t know all that much about him, but, in Orphic tradition, Zagreus/Dionysus is the son of Zeus and Persephone, and his descent to the Underworld and subsequent return is considered extremely important. I’m not exactly sure why Dionysus goes to the Underworld in Orphism because he traditionally does so to rescue his mother, Semele, but, since his mother in Orphism is Persephone, I don’t really know what the motivation is. All I know is that it was really important to the Orphics.

While the game is no doubt gorgeous, the only real appeal to me is the gameplay.
I don’t see much else outstanding about the game aside from the art, and that’s not necessarily a dig. I just see Hades a game that is just a game.

I was really interested to learn that the game was apparently designed with its story in mind because, to me, the story’s remarkable quality is primarily in that the structure of the game is reflected by and incorporated into the narrative. The story feels like it was built around the gameplay, which is excellent, but I don’t find the story in and of itself compelling.
The world, however, is fascinating if only for how it interprets Greek mythology.

Also, I think Sony’s face-button naming scheme is bad because the symbols aren’t readily available on standard keyboards. It’s faster to type A than it is to write out “triangle”, and it’s easier to know that A corresponds to A on the controller than it is to explain to someone that T is shorthand for “triangle”.

Also, my one gripe with Nintendo’s button layout is that they have yet to name the stick clicks. Sony uses L3/R3, which is good, and Microsoft uses LS/RS, which is fine if easily confused with simply moving the left and right sticks, but Nintendo has no dedicated name.
I’m partial to CL/CR, which is pretty common community terminology, because it aligns with the ZL/ZR naming scheme and pays homage to the C-Stick and C-pad on the N64 and GCN, respectively, just as ZL/ZR pays homage to the Z button on those same consoles. Plus, the C can stand for “control stick”, so LS/RS can still refer to just moving the sticks themselves. It’s a sensible way to name the stick clicks.
I also don’t like how the D-pad on the Joy-Con is split into four separate buttons, but I get why it’s necessary for the controller to work. I mainly use the Pro Controller, anyways, which doesn’t have that issue. I need to send my Joy-Con in for repair, now that I’m thinking about it—I have a bit of drift on my right stick. It doesn’t affect most of what I play, but it’s annoying in the games that it does impact.

The Wonderful 101 would not exist in its current form without the Wii U’s touchscreen even though the game is completely playable without it, so I am thankful for the hardware if only for that.

Sorry it took a while to finish typing this. But here:
When I was a kid, my grandfather used to tell me bedtime stories when I visit. I suppose that was his way of connecting to me, you know, because he can't talk to me about Pokemon, or superheroes, or new toys. The distance between us was shortened only by those precious stories that he himself learned about when he was a kid, decades ago in a wildly different world. But, stories are timeless. And the one I am about to tell you stuck with me through the years, through schools, through heartbreaks, through this life I live.
This is the story about a farmer, his son, and their farm animals. The son had always wanted to be a musician, but being a farm boy was a huge hurdle to his lofty dream. However, one day, destiny beckoned as he found a lute discard behind by a wandering circus. With shaking hands, the son took up the lute and start to softly strum its shining strings. Under the shade of an apple tree in the farm, his started to play, with passion, with love. And to his surprise, a voice sang back from the barn. Bewildered, he opens the barn to find out that the family horse was singing with him. And in the far corner, the cow and the pig was eyeing him intelligently, humming along the rhythm of his song. Magic did exist, and it came upon this family.
Afterward, it was all but history. This band of singing animals and their master became an instant phenomenon throughout the kingdom. Even the king and his queen even paid the ramshackle farm a visit. There was music and applauds throughout the house day and night. Shortly after, the barn turns into a theater, decorated with the best of instruments and the most beautiful of songs. But this meteoric rise was not without its torrential downfall, as humans are wont to do, the son was blinded by fame and gold. His songs became more and more frenzied, as did his drunken stupor. And he started to abuse his animals. In his mind, it was his wonderful lute that brought the animals to singing and he deserved all of the glory.
But this change did not escape the horse, the animal that started it all. The horse remembered all the abuse the son did. And even with all the fame and wealth, the horse was still used as a working animal on the farm. During the day, it toiled under the burning sun, at night, under the blinding shine of the theater spotlight. As resentment built, it planned its revenge.
One night, the son was more drunk than usual but the ale was running low. So the horse asked the son if it can bring him downtown to get more. The son agreed. On the way, the horse shook the half conscious son off its back down the road. His head cracked on a rock and he bled out on that dark alley road, far away from the glistening light of the farm-theater.
But after having its revenge, the horse felt empty. And for the first time in its life, it yearns for the same liquid that drove its master insane. Tired and depressed, the horse stumbled into the town's tavern. The bartender greeted it and asked:
"Why the long face?"
