cotton is warmer than acrylic and softer than wool but if it gets wet it’ll freeze your head off

As someone who (relatively) is I disagree
Its scary not having an idea how to become an independent adult

there is no such thing as independent adult though
we all in live a society
it's just that instead of depending on parents, one becomes attached to one or more peer (spouse or best friend or roommate)
and instead of getting main source of money from parents it's from an employer
or your own business
you'll always exist at the grace of somebody else's existence, and it's even more conditional as it goes

look, society is far from perfect or good, but it does often plenty of support
I took me reaching 29 to learn that I can and will use employment insurance
before that, whenever I stopped working I just rushed to get another job or enroll in school
it really does give a good buffer so you can eat and have a roof above your head while you look for another, better job instead of hopping from one entry level job to next
