this movie...
...completely missed the point 
this is where the stereotype was born
the big guns, big knives, big muscles kind of stereotype
explosions, triple digit bodycount, M60 and AAAAAAAA kind of stereotype
where as the first one was a slow, tense character piece about a vietnam vet suffering from PTSD
this one tries to be twice as exciting, but comes out being half as interesting

but here it's portrayed with this 2008 grit and shaky cam

2 - it has no respect for a troubled region it takes place in (as opposed to 3)
3 - the shaky cam almost gave me a headache
4 - it looks like ass - somehow worse than the previous one that came out 20 years earlier (mostly due to all the crappy cgi that's in this one)
5 - all the characters are flatter than freakin doom 2 sprites
6 - there's almost zero plot, and whatever there is just recycles points from previous movies

probably can't unless you're willing to sacrifice adjacent yellow section, and they gotta be ok with either yeeting the rest of the piece or to make it an asymmetric rug; the latter option probably involves having to swap in some kinda stabilizing yarn / fabric to anchor the yellow stripe.
But yeah, the best option is probably to cut from within a yellow stripe and carefully extract the yellow from the portion they want. IF that's an option. I'm not sure; I've not done this myself.
And they may want to have a "stitch saver" ready to go to put the brown onto to prevent it from unraveling
