It's a "security" thing. The cars only do point-to-point travel so you can't ride up with someone else and get off at a floor you don't have a card for without being obvious. It's a pain, sure, but there is a reason for it (though not a great one). Companies like them because it gives a totally false sense of security.

Your car arrives and advertises itself, so when you get in, it already knows it's only going to your floor. At least that's how the one's like that I've used worked.

nonstick pan have coating on it that makes em nonstick. if these get scratched or even from too much heat they will come off. they sure are convenient though

cast iron when they say soap will ruin it, they refer to it's 'seasoning'

seasoning is a thing you do to your cast iron pan. you apply a coat of oil on the whole thing, and put it on really high heat until its smoking

you'll get a layer or nonstick that also prevents rust and will last forever just by you using it to cook

Depends on the monitor. What you might want instead though is an HDMI switch, something that lets you plug in multiple HDMI wires and press a button to cycle between them

TVs usually have that built in, but you can get external ones for monitors
