oh, yeah, being alive isn't the cause, it's just a correlation. though after a while they become linked in a way a change in material conditions wouldn't make a significant change. so it makes more sense to better the conditions for others
i am assuming i'm probably a lot older than you though so that's where the different outlook comes from

tbh i've found growing older helps. it gives a lot of perspective.
things are difficult when you're younger and it's overwhelming because you've never seen past those difficulties. but you do and then you grow older and you're faced with more difficulties but you've seen them before and you know there's good things beyond them.

meeting my girlfriend and falling in love is one of the biggest ones, but also learning how to cook and make food i found to be really delicious and getting cats, and having an apartment with a balcony, moving back to my hometown and repairing my relationship with my parents, and going to teuffelsberg in germany and when i studied across in berlin in general, all wonderful friends i've made, and honestly growing into a person i want to be even if it means i have to acknowledge how i was in the past
i used to live near this butte and my friend i would climb it during the night and sit on the benched at the top and smoke cigarettes and talk about the really meaningful parts of ourselves and our lives
and like now i am going through some really severe medical stuff that has permanently altered the course of my life and i spent a long time being bitter and miserable about it but also there's a restaurant near me that had bananas foster French toast and that's pretty cool
