i used to do miniature diy more, now i do bead embroidery. i used to get so sucked into doom scrolling and internet nonsense and i find working with my hands to be something that draws me out of it. and it's fun!

not sure if i'll help at any way, but im on meds as well, they put away those which made me sit-stand-lie in an endless cycle, but those that stayed make me wonder around the house for a while, in a near-euphoric state, but without possibility to sit down and do something at ps, so then i figured..

i used this extra energy to make myself a working place with PC, now sitting at the table properly after more than two years. put up a list of things i have to do while im here at this house, and do them one after another, as much as possible

like, report the numbers of water/gas/electricity consumption to the city service, or make nice meal, or take a new unpacked pair of shoes that had to be broken a bit for years now.. etc

extra energy in my case is rather unpleasant, so i try to waste it with profits

especially after whole 24 hours of sleeping because of extra milligrams of risperidon..

So a friend came up to me asking for ideas for his DnD session. I don't have any knowledge of DnD but this is how it went.

Premise: A group of adventurers took a bounty for goblins that kidnapped a boy. They eventually discovered a crypt that may be the goblin's nest/den/whatever.

Problem: There's going to be new people for the session. My friend doesn't know how to integrate them seemlessly.

My suggestion: Have the goblins run a slavery in the crypt. Reason why the goblins kidnapped the boy is because the eldest slave passed away. The new players are runaways from the crypt and they found the old players at the beginning of the session.

Problem with my suggestion: He has the idea for the goblins to do ritual sacrifice to make the land flourish. Capturing the world to be so barren, even the goblins are desperate.

My suggestion 2: Have them stockpile humans for ritual sacrifice.

Bullies are a systemic failure of the education system where you are stripped of your ability to defend yourself by the same authority that should be protecting you

The only way to stop being bullied is to become either less rewarding or more trouble than you're worth. Less rewarding is hard as heck because it relies on you not having reactions to their instigations which basically never happens. More trouble is hard as heck because you're forced to defend yourself in a system that will actively punish you if your defense crosses an arbitrarily enforced line.

not to mention that being more trouble than you're worth also could end up with you being a challenge to their status which just escalates the situation

Avoidance is also a strategy that makes you less rewarding but this is also stressful on you because it limits your own social interactions.

Here's my advice
A) Identify sympathetic authority figures. Find people like teachers or admins or even members of your community(coaches, senseis whatever) who believe you, and believe in you and make them part of your support system. Talk to them about your problems see if their advice seems to make sense but importantly make sure they're aware of the issues you're facing
B) Find your niche. This helps you avoid your bullies by just not being in the same space as them but more importantly it provides more support. Do activities, join clubs, make friends and communicate with them. **The more value you find for yourself outside of your bullies the less impact they have on you. **Self defense classes are nice not just because they give you an ability to fight back if necessary but because its a fun thing to do with other people. Do things you enjoy with people you like.

||C) Know that this too shall pass. Find coping mechanisms that are generally harmless. Bullies can literally be lethal both in the direct sense where they honestly didn't think pushing you down those stairs would kill you but more frequently in the sense that suicide is 21.5% of all teenager mortalities in the US. Suicide is a very permanent coping mechanism for, in this case, a very transient problem. Bullies will always exist, but your control over your environment gets so much more powerful out of school that you can cut them out of your life so much easier. Its not worth doing something permanent over.||

i had to stay up for a bit over 24 hours a lot to fix my flipped sleep schedule

i was nocturnal for years

i took a sleeping pill once and it knocked me out for 24 hours straight

but sleeping like 9-12 hours just because you needed the rest is so refreshing

the patriarchy and the matriarchy are not "at odds" because their is no matriarchy. patriarchy is not the "rule of men", it is a system that puts men at a massive advantage over women in private and public matters and institutions. it gets complicated by things like race, gender, ability, and such, but generally speaking it's about the power men hold in a society that non-men do not. we could, theoretically, have a matriarchy, but we don't.
