Mostly depends on what kind of state, and area you live in honestly, New York is packed so yeah that's common but in smaller counties in the dakotas and such you usually won't find them with 5+ floors, usually only 2-4 floors but the floors are spread out over the square footage

like I was watching the last mark rober video about the zipline company and when he show those delivery drones that deliver a package on a line from a drone that is hovering far above and I thought well that is only accessible to the incredibly small portion of people that live in a city area because those drones don't have a big range and they live in a house where they can quickly go out and take the package so either a single family house or a small house where you don't have to spend a lot of time going down the stairs and probably best that not many people live in there and everybody knows each other so nobody will take that package but then I thought well maybe a lot of americans do live like this

Additional pyshki lore I just found out while trying to find the wiki article:
They're apparently usually called ponchiki and pyshki is considered the "saint petersburg way" of calling them(I as a saint petersburg native didn't even know somebody called them ponchiki or maybe I did and forgot but I digress)
There are at least two possible ways the name пышки(pyshki) could have occurred, either from an adjective пышный which translates to fluffy, or from a verb пыхать which means basically to give off heat, while ponchik most likely comes from the polish paczek which is the name of a similar food
