No prob! There's going to be a music-themed AMA on April 26th, if you're interested. Otherwise the best way to ask just general questions would probably be to @ Supergiantgames on Twitter ^^
Alright. I'll go check that out, then.
I've been a Super Giant fan, sense the Bastion game. I sadly haven't played Pyre or Transistor or Hades yet. I wanted to play them on tablet, though I lost my Ipod to a washer. Hades I forgot I got off Epic, as I use Steam for every other game I play. This isn't the point of my post, so let me get to it.
I always enjoy companies that expand their horizons, increasing interests to multiple genera's of gameplay. Seems Supergiant Game is one of those companies, as you have multiple genera types. The idea I had growing up is going to require, not only a RPG to play with, also a sports game and fighting game to complete. The idea is to make a MMO or multiplayer RPG, that tells a deep story, incorporating sports and martial arts all into one. I think it's a great idea because sports motivate people, to get involved with something larger than themselves. This means the risks reward ideal, is something that can blend the line of safety and risk for a reasonable reason, with the consequences being less of a discouraging factor. The same goes for the fighting aspect, with worst consequences though likely worth it with a greater reward. All in all the game is supposed to make the main game blend with the sport and fighting so it's not as discouraging to participate, keeping the popularity higher across all aspects of the game, with the main game play the biggest risks. Each of the genera's offering some small changes as not to make them difficult to learn, also reducing the discouraging aspects playing the games. I don't know we'll ever see a game that offers character progression, that participating in each genera can increase your characters effectiveness. Though I will keep dropping the basic idea, for people to take notice of in hopes I can enjoy the result someday. That's all I have to say about that for now, thought maybe it'll help give an idea for the next project you work on.
Sounds like you’ll like Pyre tbh. It’s got that sports angle you’re looking for.
Multiplayer isn’t part of the story, but it’s super fun.

nice!!!
is hades available for mac users???
nope! sorry :((
Hopefully someday!
Hi, everybody. I've been on this server (I think) from when it started but I've always lurked because I've been very busy with school. I'm in school as a student game developer, and I'm on a lot of projects, so I've had a busy year. But with the semester being almost over, I'm going to make an active effort to be much more vocal on this server as Supergiant is one of my favorite studios and I want to support in any way I can.
Hey guys
hi @cursive galleon
you might not remember it, but we exchanged emails about 10 years ago
we talked about my game and yours, which was bastion and mine was at the student showcase at the IGF
you said nice things, so i want to thank you for that
Hey @patent anvil thank you for the message! What was your IGF game called? I'm lucky to still be doing this stuff all these years later. Hope you've been doing well!
Hey there! My game was And Yet it Moves and the company that sprung form it, me beeing not part of it, still exists and is called Broken Rules
It might have been more then 10 years maybe, but that is a bit scary 😃
oh heck you made And Yet It Moves?
I remember playing that from one of the earliest Humble Bundles, I loved it!

Hello devs, can i have a question?
To concept art or the lvl designer, how you guys decide that the levels must look like in the game?
@cobalt gust oh wow thank you!
thanks !
Also, what's Ashley's Discord name gonna be?
@sturdy oasis if thats what u mean, the hummed versions are included in the extended album! im pretty sure it comes with any purchase of the soundtrack?
or do you mean just the humming
Oh!!! I didn’t actually know that haha, how embarrassing
are the answers gonna be in the chat or is there a livestream im missing?
no worries! theyre also on spotify and youtube and such
theyre gonna be in the chat, when its closed
oh sweet
'Cause I don't think @ashley#8380 is actually her
"It can be hard to dig deep and picture yourself as the character, but I think Red and I had a lot in common so it helped me understand the kind of tone she would have to have in singing those songs."
IRL Ashley also has a significant other digitized and trapped in a giant flashdrive sword, and is hunted by weird virus robots.
Please
don't
Process
Ashley
Depends what you want, I imagine
Bastion, of course, is a complete game, while Hades is in-progress
They're both great games, though
I missed the QA noooo
I had no questions and I can read back what they said, but I just wanted to express my gratitude and love
The general combat mechanics are similar in both games
Oh soo this is great news
Maybe i will buy bastion first because It have a full story
you can get bastion, and by the time you finish it Hades will be more updated
swoosh
@waxen grove I would definitely start with Bastion unless you're a pretty serious player when it comes to the sort of Diablo style combat in games. Hades is much harder, and less story oriented. I love it but I'd say Bastion is a better first game to represent supergiant. Probably the best first game representative of the four since transistor is a bit short and pyre is very unique in terms of gameplay which could throw some people off. Bastion is a simple, beautify designed and written, easy to fall in love with straightforward action RPG.
But I'd definitely check all of them out eventually
every supergiant game is a masterpiece
is there any way to play Hades as early access without buying it on the Epic Games store? I would really like to not have to buy it twice when it comes out on steam
Not as Early Access, no. You'll have to wait until full release for other storefronts
that's unfortunate
so if I really wanted to have it on steam I'd be better off waiting until full release
yup!
If you are willing to, you can get both from Epic Games and Steam 😃
i mean, not right now you can’t. hades isn’t on steam and won’t be while the game is in early access
I keep missing the qa sessions due to school, does anyone know if there is a way I can send a question to them?
maybe you can ask someone to send a question on your behalf in advanced when theyre announced?
Do they have an email I could ask or is that my only option? I don’t know if I know anyone who can do that for me
You could always @ them on twitter, they sometimes take questions there. Their email is on their website
I’ll try the email, thanks!
@olive hull cultist simulator icon?
#off-topic-discussion , not in here
they already moved ^^
fair enough
@grave island regarding supergiant socks; how big are they? I've been burned before with socks that looked normal but were tiny so I Gotta Know
They're actually a little too big on me
I'm a women's size 7, 7 1/2 in American Sizes
hah, alright, thank you
So when will Hades be available outside of being an Epic Store exclusive?
+ Will Hades ever come to Steam or other platforms?
We expect to bring Hades to a variety of other platforms once Early Access is complete, including Steam. That’s not for a while so we can't make any promises here yet.
+How long will Early Access last?
We expect Early Access to last more than a year from our initial launch on Dec. 6, 2018.```
I don't see that channel
one moment please
oh derp, there it is 😄
apologies, thanks for the link 😃
if you have a question about hades it's generally a good idea to look in there first
Woo, finally got Hades
nice! enjoy
unfortunately I have class so I can’t play it yet
Also question, I see people with roles for early access/having various Supergiant games... how does one acquire those roles?
You go to #bot-commands
And then type ?rank followed by the rank name (must be spelled exactly to match an existing rank)
We're pleased to finally have our games available on https://t.co/HJBrYRYsSK:
-Bastion: https://t.co/mVMgNRP2Ny
-Transistor: https://t.co/GXEbQonvIN
-Pyre: https://t.co/JeNTAXh14A

this is hilarious to me given that just yesterday there was a mention of sgg not being on itch.io
:O this is so exciting!
hahaha
I wish hades was available there too, itch is a lovely platform
Hey I gotta say I am loving the choice of donation organizations, it feels like these are places y'all (the devs) individually care about and that makes me really happy to see you're supporting such a range of organizations too
The one guy who responds to all the Twitter comments raging bc of no Xbox 1 port is both hilarious and depressing
same as saying "customers deserver nothing", haha
Yeah, I go back and forth about whether to engage him. It's difficult to express to players that bringing games to new platforms isn't easy.
It's definitely a hard place to be. 🤔
he just sounds so entitled about it, like "it DESERVES their games"? come on
nor customers nor sellers deserve a thing
devs don't deserve sales by default. they earn it with their skills (in either game making or marketing, lul)
I say that he has demonstrated that he has too little of an understanding of how ports vs launchers work to be worth the time
I mean, I would love to hate on the guy, and it feels like he is trolling
He doesn't, but he doesn't have to either to have an opinion or to feel the anger he feels, whether it's warranted or not.
But yeah, as a developer -- our decision to support a platform in the past should not bind us for eternity to that platform come hell or high water. We would not be around still if that was how we needed to do things.
I don't blame you in the least, I believe you are doing a great job.
We've needed to make different decisions in different circumstances based on an ever-changing industry and so on. We would love it if our games could be on all platforms at once in a totally pristine state, and it's something we're working to improve at.
Nobody says there aren't decisions to make, you can't satisfy everyone.
“We put bastion on iOS, so I guess its time to start the mobile port of pyre “
when u graduate from college u have to declare loyalty to a platform for life or otherwise be eaten by the bitsy devs
What the hell is bitsy devs?
Pray you never find out
oh hey greg i wanted to ask, is getting feedback on localization something you guys are open to?
i get that it's all outsourced and it's been some time since the pyre localizations were released
I'll link in #off-topic-discussion to keep this focused
@deep blade Yeah absolutely. It's something we need to figure out for Hades still.
Fun fact, I've once launched Pyre in my native language, expecting to find some issues with localization (because even much simpler written games often get localization wrong). Turned out it's quite good and there wasn't any serious stuff for me to complain about.
cool, so what would be the best place to submit localization feedback? steam forum?
An email via Contact on our web site would be great. Though surfacing it in a place like Steam or Reddit can be good too so others can respond, depending on how you wanted to put it.
I know this is kinda the same argument as that guy, but just out of curiosity have you guys considered putting transistor/pyre on the humble storefront?
We don't have plans to release Transistor or Pyre on the Humble Store right now, but we certainly appreciate the interest.
At a BFA showcase at my school tonight, I saw a student's work on a theoretical Supergiant Game called Lucifer (sort of a successor to Transistor). Its concept art mimicked the style Jen Zee's art and everything
I kind of squealed when I found out that SGG fans exist in real life
You tell us this and don't provide pictures?! So cruel
whaaaaaaat
that sounds cool as hell
I took a few 1 sec
Oop
That looks great!
awesome
that's very cool
There was also an actual box for it
Unfortunately I didn't photograph that
It just had that first drawing on it as coverart
I'm trying to find out more about this student, and apparently they're on the dean's list
I wrote fanfic for a high school writing assignment once, the teacher really liked it XD
Granted there were no specific names/locations, but it was clearly just the opening scene of HL2 😄
off topic(ish) , but the league of legends MSI trials narrative videos about the houses gave me bastion's rucks / narrator vibes, though idk who does the voice
Guys, how long till hades is on steam? Epic Play doesnt practice localized pricings so the game is mega expensive on my country, plus i have everything from SGG in Steam, wouldnt want to change platforms now
Do we have any idea?
from #hades-faq : We expect to bring Hades to a variety of other platforms once Early Access is complete, including Steam. That’s not for a while so we can't make any promises here yet.
I swear there was a date floating around
Nope, just roughly sometime in 2020.
Can you give us any info as to when the next episode of the Hades documentary will come out? Loved watching the first two episodes
Hey @summer lava they're actively working on it! Jeremy from Noclip is here at Supergiant today as a matter of fact! I don't think they've announced a specific date for next episode just yet.
Excellent! Thank you so much, Greg!
hi jeremy if you're reading this
Awesome!
Did SGG finish reaching out to the applicants for the QA specialist position?
I applied, but heard nothing since, and 'start of may' is almost over
I mean they did just release a huge update, and are likely working on bug fixes and patches now
I always figured "start of May" would be sometime after the update tbh
Sit back and be patient mate, they will respond in due course
We haven't started reaching out, no.
Oh, alright then! There's hope yet!
Hey, I could've sworn in the SG newsletter before last they mentioned something about the making of Wrath in the No-Clip docs, leading me to think there was actually 4 docs out--but there isn't, is there? Did I miss anything?? 🤔 Or maybe I'm mis-remembering something--but there hasn't been any new NoClips, right?
We also shared the latest episode of our Noclip documentary series on the making of Hades, as well as an in-depth look at how we designed a new gameplay feature called Wrath.
separate things
they mentioned the second installment of the noclip doc, and then went into detail on how wrath was designed
ohhh 😛
You're so on top of things!!! How did you dig that up so quickly?!
Thankeee 😄
because my email account is right there
Hey guys

Are there Twitchchannels from the Supergiant Members?
I think Greg Kasavin has one

I always wonder if that's something people would be interested in
I'd love to see some SG streams
Though I understand that it's not a great time during dev to be streaming 😆
At GDC this year I actually got to see a developer talk about all of their employees streaming their work live at least once a week, it was pretty fascinating. 🤔
Interesting, why did they do that?
I've watched programming streams, the content doesn't matter as much as the personality of the person streaming
An engaging person can make any stream worth watching
It was a community building tool for them! The talk was "Building a Community with Development and Playtesting Streams" and then level of transparency and interaction they've achieved over time is honestly amazing to me.
That could be a lot of fun to see SG do something like that
From Rarebyte! http://rarebyte.com/
Game studio based in Vienna & Graz, Austria - Creators of Waterstorm, Lemming Rampage, PIN Racer, Game Dev Tycoon (iOS/Android), and Seeds of Sol
Also if SG had an active Twitch channel, I could have more emotes
Oh yeah, that sounds really cool! I already thought Supergiant was doing a good job with your team-wide playtesting, but that is next level interaction!
It would definitely be fun, but it's a big ol' leap! Even in the talk, the CEO discussed that sort of comfort/learning period of bringing your generally private work into a public and friendly eye.
Yeah, I get that. Definitely not for everybody, and not easy to balance it either
I have tried my hand at streaming for a while, and it was quite exhausting for me personally, I can imagine more people feel like that.
But I would love some Supergiant streams!
Very good to know!! I have taken note. :3c
hey so since sgg switches up game genres with every new game, what genres would people like to see next? i would go absolutely ham if they did a checkerboard turn-based game
rhythm game
text adventure room escape
point and click!
In my opinion the optimal next game for SGG would be like CIV, in the pyre universe, with dating elements
racing game........with feelings
wait i would totally play supergiant racing
I would play supergiant truck simulator
Point-and-click adventure and/or something with heavy horror elements
Ooooh, a Supergiant horror game would be interesting
i fully believe sgg could terrify me if they so chose
oh absolutely
If you have loaded into a small room, filled with skull-o-mats and numbskulls on 500% vicious torment and 50% whipped frenzy. You already know true terror
That is a true nightmare, yes
they dont need any enemies or anything just some heavily moody art and music and a nice spooky narrator and ill be 😱
yee, and i cannot stress this enough, haw
GOOD
i can only imagine him saying this very seriously and very softly to the reader
GOOD
the haws have been yeed
The Book of Rites:
Be Rootin
Be Tootin
And by golly be Shootin
But most of all be kind
be rootin (for ur teammates)
be tootin (the dinner bell)
and by golly be shootin (hoops)
GOOD THIS IS SO

pyth bless you kam
awawww
what if the characters in pyre... wore jerseys
Kam post your Reader art for bird
👀
She's done just that already, and it was great
which do you mean?
She's wearing a blue, like, jersey kinda thing?
I forget if she's got a hood or not
Basketball shorts too
Maybe I've misremembered
¯_(ツ)_/¯
theythems please! but yeah ill get you some art 👌
meanwhile, in an alternate timeline where DK64 was rebooted by Supergiant https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndxs8sS2RyY
i wonder if supergiant plans to put all of their games on epic games launcher
because id love to be able to have access to all of the games from one launcher(and perhaps bastion and pyre for free too)
but it does feel kinda bad getting the game for free cuz i cant support them by buying it for the 15-20$ price tag
which is really cheap for how much work is put into them
like wowie are the games pretty
Would supergiant ever start a line on Displate? I'd love to get some done up with Bastion and Hades artwork
what if there was at a point a crossover game that supergiant makes
well, we can argue that Bastion exists in some form in the Transistor universe. Red has a scumbag plushie and a cael hammer prop in her apartment. How exactly Bastion exists in that world (as a piece of media, as actual history, etc.) is unclear
zag's got sandra!
i just feel so trapped here
oh you have no idea
YEEES
sandra: why must you insist in butting into my business, day and/or night. you want to leave so badly, then begone.
zag: i........i just think it's so sad what happened to you ;0;
sandra: i said begone

don't get me wrong, I'm more than happy to pay full price for the game, just made me chuckle

Good job with price raise during a sale that is illegal.
I was going to buy the game next week on my payday but now you lost me as a customer.
I love your games but what you did is just scammy.
u good man?
ye I was legit going to buy no questions asked tomorrow night but now Imma just forget about it tbh.... Shame bc I liked supergiant's other games and this felt fresh
why'd the price increase midsale??
My only guess is they want to make more money since the discount is from epic's pocket
i think said a few hours ago the original price was a mistake
@BubbaSquare That's a possibility but we have to see how the rest of Early Access pans out before we decide for sure. We would announce something like that well in advance if it happened.
^^ saying they'd announce price changes well ahead of time then shadily doing them at a moment's notice?
can we please shut up about this
really shady to be honest lol
seems like a miscommunication somewhere
agreed just give them some time to work it out im sure the devs have seen this
I usually assume incompetence before malice but either way, not a good look
i agree on that
as far as i understand it, epic started this sale without communicating with devs, and sgg have been in communication with them trying to deal with that.
It could be a mistake, but increasing during a sale is just shady and illegal, they should have raised the price after the sale
just speaking as someone who's unsatisfied that they won't be able to buy a good game at what I considered a great price
and now that I've seen that price offered, that's around my max price for the game when I could otherwise try it at a friends house or otherwise try it for free
also honestly i agree with babs can we please just. wait for the devs to clarify what's going on instead of complaining in circles
Also RE: the tweet: it's specifically asking about price increases after early access is finished
context is important
Will the price for Hades increase after the game is done being Early Access and is released as a full game?
Is not about the price is because this is illegal, if they raised the price before the sale I would still buy the game @teal galleon
@grave island that would be a fair interpretation ( and how I'd interpret it) but the BASE PRICE of the game has already changed from 20 to 25 usd
I have no other hats in this ring, man, I'm just getting tired of people not reading the tweet
if they adjusted the sale saying mistake, I wouldn't be as annoyed
If they tweeted owning up to the fact that they misled customers then raised the price, I wouldn't be as annoyed
thats the dumbest interpretation of the tweet possible, honestly would make the tweet even stupider
like, do you really think they are saying they will only ever announce that one specific price increase in advance and none of the others?
like, do you really that tweet would be specific to that situation and SuperGiant was actually open to do random hidden unnanounced price increases until leaving early access?
that only makes them look worse if so
I...read the words...in the tweet
Someone asked a specific question and they gave a specific statement
which again, makes them look worse
like "oh ooops we will only ever communicate this specific price increase nothing else" is supposed to be good or something?
because it isn't
a unnanounced price increase is scummy, and it's double the scummy if you're doing it in the middle of a supposed sale
those are the facts
I'm about 90% sure it was poorly timed and that's it
They got a question, they answered it, and it happened to be in the middle of all this mess
I don't really, like, know enough about the price changes - I keep hearing different things and don't have a conclusion to come to - I'm just saying that that tweet specifically is about an entirely different matter
So it's not particularly good evidence to use in your argument
You can surely build a stronger case if you don't take useless evidence out of context, right?
Their apology they posted proves me right. They admit to it. Good to see them owning up to it.
👍
It's a good fix and I accept the apology. SGG is good in my book, I just think this was the left and not knowing what the right was doing.
Probably two different people handling things that weren't in contact with each other
Either way, glad to see they're not doubling down on it.
I want to accept the apology but, this post makes a good point.
"Guys there wasn't actual resolution, read the rest of the thread. The game was 7$ this morning via an already existing discount (on top of the 10$ Epic discount)on the game. The game is now 10$ because they took away the extra discount since the current 10$ discount is being funded by Epic. This is a super scummy thing to do, do not applaude them for this. They decided they didn't want to fit the bill for a 3$ discount since epic was already doing a 10$ discount, and again this was a discount already in play and many people got the game for 7$ and if you buy it now its more expensive."
This does not feel like a gesture of good faith imo. They are still making the full amount of the 19.99 and Epic is footing their bill.
Like I said in the other thread, from what most people can tell, this Epic sale was not known by some developers. So it makes sense that they would want to remove their own sale after the new sale started.
But why? They wouldn't be losing ANY money
They are removing their sale because "wellll shieeet if big daddy Epic wants to foot our bill, why not!"
It's still not great.
And not a good resolution.
Putting their game at a $7 price point affects more than just the sale period
It affects aggregators of prices, etc.
if that price was never their intention, which it seems as if it wasn't, they do not want to keep selling their game for $7, even if they are not losing money
That's fine, but I still have a sour taste in my mouth from all this and this half-hearted resolution does not fix that. I'm glad it does for some of you.
Of course
You saw in the other channel I am 100% with you that hiking a price during a sale is scummy and anti-consumer. I still believe that. I will remember that. But I think making sure people are getting their game for the price it was before today -$10 is the right move.
I understand your point of view. It's just not good enough for me. They aren't losing a dime and their bill is being footed. This is almost the bare minimum they could have done to correct the situation. And for some reason their inability to reapply their discount over two dollars and 50 cents, makes it even worse.
In my opinion.
Not having two sales running on an item is basic business practices, though, is my point. I absolutely see where you are coming from as well, but I think that bare minimum is good enough here. Also, the $3 loss IS being footed by SGG. because Epic is only taking $10 out of it. The $3 difference from $16.99-$19.99 is still their loss.
"This was a sale they were already doing before EGS started, and the two sales should be separate since SG doesn't cover the $10 portion." EGS's sale has really nothing to do with them.
Again, imo.
They aren't having two sales, and they weren't originally. Epic was simply doing a universal discount. This shouldn't have been an issue from the start.
They would be separate, absolutely. That's why people got the game for $6.99. But again, any business you walk in to will never have an item on sale twice. A supermarket will not accept manufacturer's coupons if the item is on an in-store discount.
It does not even devalue their game as it is pretty clear Epic is the one taking off that 10. It says so everywhere.
@hardy hull That actually depends on the fine print of the coupon. It's more like...
Target, at one point, had their credit card machines hacked.
Ah I remember this
In order to make up for this, they applied a 10 percent sale across the entire store. Even things already on sale had the 10 percent discount applied.
The 10 percent discount has nothing to do with the sale of the manufacturer
Okay, so bad example on my part, sorry. But still. It's basic business to not have two sales running on an item. I can't fault SGG for not wanting that to be the case. I also can't fault you for being upset that they did.
For me, it really comes down to this. I have a finite amount I can spend on the EGS and various things I want.
I'm not going to support a company that can't even be bothered to fully correct their mistake, and instead, take half-measures.
I'd rather buy other games.
Honestly, I'll probably just leave this server in a moment and forget about Supergiant. They've just been disappointing through this entire thing.
We're not stopping you
That's nice.
ok
All I'd have to say to that is; try to learn to be less entitled. You are not entitled to have a game cost $7 because of an error.
No error, Epic is allowed to run a universal sale on their own store. The discount they had was already inplace.
And I'm not the only that thinks this if that reset thread is anything to go by.
Any other store would have clearly communicated with their developers that a sale was happening, and those developers would remove their own sales from their games. SGG and other companies clearly did not know this was coming.
I'm glad you were placated but not everyone is.
you don't have to be condescending about it
Bruh
That's A Swear My Dude.
That's nice, Bird.
swears are auto-deleted by a bot here
My dude if you don't realize that s--- is a swear I don't think that I can listen to anything you have to say
ok
@sharp needle I was called entitled by someone and before that, Bird was a bit of a jerk. So yeah, I didn't have to be condescending, but they didn't help matters.
/shrug All I said was "if you want to leave you're free to go", you're also free to leave if you think I'm so rude
it's a bot
I understand the bot is deleting it.
I wanted to clarify I'm not cursing at anyone
Just saying crappy.
Anyway. You were leaving, so bye. Have a nice life being mad at $3.
considering I bought Zone of Enders second runners mars at $40 and it was a 5 hours game with low for this age graphic quality, while Hades has way better voicing acting, is longer, has more stylish graphics, I believe $24.99 would still be a fair enough price and $14.99 is good
@river portal That is a different argument
24.99 is a fair price. I just don't appreciate all they did during this entire thing.
the only issue here is the price change
because they basically took a bone we are eating out of our mouth
The game (as far as I can tell) is worht the future $24.99 price change
And GonSmithe, I was perfectly cordial with you up until a point. But you're choosing to be a jerk now, and so be it.
that is what I am saying too, I'm not disagreeing with you
I respected your opinion
It seems you can't respect mine, or the people on resetera.
Which is fine
I respect your opinion as well, I don't respect your complete inability to understand that no business on the face of the earth would have two sales running on the same item willingly
one
Again, that is blatantly incorrect.
one example
Plenty of coupons stack with sales it just depends on the type.
They did that to not be sued
it was hyperbole
^
Here, I'll change my statement
"No company on the face of the Earth, UNLESS THEY MAY FACE LEGAL ACTION UNLESS THEY DO SO, would ever put two sales on the same item"
Drogo you've refused to accept that people here don't agree with you and continued to argue your point in circles long past it being interesting, if people are getting frustrated with you, that's not our problem
Okay, I'll prove you wrong, Gonsmithe
They are losing $3
Ebay runs universal sales all the time on top of sales already on Ebay
So no, this is patently incorrect.
two companies
I can add more if you wish.
I'll throw in a third one for you, Amazon
I think the point here is that SGG is a small developer, not a multinational conglomerate. More to the point, I'm wondering why you're so concerned with convincing each other that the other is wrong? I think everyone has said their piece
^
The point being is that a dev team of20 people are not Target and Amazon and Ebay. For every purchase of Hades for $7, even if Epic is fronting $10 of it, is a loss of money for them because those people are not buying it at full price
@frail zodiac I added my opinion at the very end in a very polite manner, insulting no one and understanding different point of views.
People began to insult me after that
if you want to leave, go ahead
So yeah, I don't care what any of you think at this point.
No one has insulted you my dude
so why are you still here
Then why are you still arguing?
Spite.
So leeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaave
lmao
Lmao
"Spite," aka "I'm real het"
If you're so OK that people disagree with you, then what's the spite for
Nah, I just find it ridiculous people have to resort to insults.
again, the insults
Disagreements are fine.
I'd suggest dropping it at this point and not antagonizing each other, no matter how you feel about it
hi, this is getting a bit heated in here- i'd like to ask everyone to please refrain from personal attacks in this discussion?
Yes, thank you. I simply stated my opinion and the personal attacks started.
While respecting others.
Ok. I will start a new discussion without personally attacking you: Do you think it's okay to blacklist a developer over $3? Why?
Blacklist? Are you kidding me?
You literally said you will not support SGG and leave this server because of the $3.
Yeah, because I didn't want to continue to argue in circles and I would rather spend my money on other games at this point. I was going to leave, without much fanfare, until the insults began.
It wasn't only you. And I'm used to people being less than great.
You're just one of many, it's fine.
All I said was "if you want to leave, then you're free to do so"; i fail to see how that's an insult
Just stating a fact in a calm and rational manner
Please, spare me the disingenuous response. At least own up to it.
Jsjdhdhudjsbdhdjbdhdbdbd
Just ignore him
That's fine too.
ok
For real though, this has spiraled far past a productive discussion. No one is being made to leave, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and no one has to convince the other that their opinion is wrong. It's ok to disagree without attacking peoples character. No one has to get the last word
I agree, Wight, and to be honest I am sorry for my contribution. I simply did not appreciate the passive aggressiveness and insults.
But I should have been the bigger person
And not let it annoy me.
I apologize.
It's all good. Sorry about that
discord is spicy tonight
sure is!
I appreciate all of the mods for dealing with today's events graciously
Y'all are the best
Agreed. The mods here are wonderful.
I do think it's important for us to voice our opinions on the decisions that supergiant makes, especially dissenting ones
It's very brave to do that, and I don't think it should be discouraged
Discourse is an important and valuable tool, yes
No doubt much embarrassment has been had :I
the larger discussion id like to see after all this settled, not just here but everywhere, is what pricing model really makes sense for early access? with the rate game prices plummet, early access games seem like theyre in this weird spot where they have to do the opposite of what every other game does in price trajectory for ostensibly less complete content. at the same time, i do recognize that the actual game value is going up over time so it also feels weird for its price to go the other way
Mm. You pay to get the game earlier, but you're also paying for a game that isn't done yet. It's the question of whether the early makes up for the unfinishedness.
I mean especially here it does, supergiant really listens to us a lot more then I've seen in any other early access
thats a piece of it yeah. the other part is- do you price based on current content? do you freeze the prices downward momentum till it has a normal post release life? if not, does early access effectively cap the value you can actually ultimately sell a released game at?
I'm my mind earily access should games typically should be at around 65%~ complete at least game play wise with the price being around the same till release then upping it to match, but I see games like hades pretty differently as they are a smaller company and so they might wanna get it our earlier for monetary reason and as I said they are engaging with us all a LOT more then I expected at least which is wonderful so I think that offsets having a bit less done then say a AAA early access... hopefully u worded that all well enough XD
i've never heard of a game increasing its price before it left EA, only when it properly released
i already have the game so it doesn't affect me, but i certainly hope there aren't any more price hikes planned
Personally - and I say this as a human first and an SGG stan second, I promise - I feel that companies that release their games all at once have the luxury of deciding a price shortly before release, after they've had time to make the calculations of the time and effort that went into the development and marketing
EA is a tricky beast because, while you can roadmap to hell and back, you may end up getting more done than you thought, or less - a lot of things are up in the air
i'd agree if the scope of the project changed significantly during development, but from what we've seen, it hasn't really
The roadmap has actually been updating with every major patch
And has gotten more extensive
SGG has also been looking to hire more staff to add content and expand the game
If they're able to make a bigger and better product, should they be required to eat the cost of that - and, conversely, if they find they want to make a bigger product and have the time to do it, should they make something smaller and just accept not making a better product to keep the cost down?
has the expected content scope changed? unless i'm mistaken i thought it was always 4 biomes, 7 bosses, 6 weapons, 8 olympians
I'm pretty sure more enemy types and story characters have been added
Greg has stated that Thanatos, for sure, was a character he was afraid might not make it in
I don't have any like, insider intel on what their thought process is though so don't take that as gospel or anything
I mean more generally
About EA games as a concept
the thing is this is the first serious EA game i can think of off the top of my head that's raised its price during development
although i am by no means an expert or w/e
It's interesting to compare to Kickstarter too, I think, with stretch goals and continuous donation targets
Obviously a lot of Kickstarter projects end up flopping but there have been some very successful ones
in a way, people are choosing to pay continuously and more to support an in-development game in order to make it bigger and better - it's just not labeled as a price tag
Not the same, I know
I'm just thinking about, like, other models of continuous open dev
I genuinely hadn't like...thought about what EA entails in terms of like, funding and pacing of development and such so it's really interesting to consider
this chat was a blast to read
How much were transistor and pyre at launch again?
Yeah so 24.99 is a fair price
Best thing for the devs to do at this point would be to commit to 25 being the launch price imo
i think transistor and bastion released for less than 25
15 iirc, but I could be super wrong
to be fair, transistor is a 10-hour playthrough at longest
SGG was also way smaller back then
definitely, less overheads to worry about
if they put more X into the game, its okay for it to cost more
x being something like workhours, playthrough time, whatever
yeah, that's generally how products work
hades could be 30, 35 something by the end of it
mmhm, the price increase of hades now will ultimately benefit everyone who has even the slightest interest in the IP down the line
it's already got imo the most Stuff in it of any of their games by a pretty big margin
and it's still got at least 9 months left in dev probably
i havent played it, so ive got no idea how much stuff it has, but i believe you
For anyone picking up the game for the first time who isn't already really good at roguelites, it's a solid 15 hours to see current content i'd say
I believe you ^_^ super looking forward to playing it at full release
Absolutely ridiculous to see people on Twitter blasting the news of a $5 increase (on an already way-underpriced game for its scope and quality) with statements such as "I though Supergiant were one of the good guys". These are the same people who rant about not being able to play on Steam because they only care about collectible achievements, I bet.
When you think about it the price of games is oddly contentious
There aren't many other things that cause so much fuss just from a change in price alone
There was a big kerfuffle a few months back about whether AAA games should cost $60, or more than $60, or less
$60 was fixed as this very...arbitrary price point that's now become the standard for AAA games even as they keep investing in tech to keep their graphics shiny and hype
Of course big companies also engage in a lot of sleazy pricing tactics so don't get me wrong, I have no sympathy for most of them
But game pricing is a very weird thing
its sticky bc like.... you know a company needs to make money but also when i see a game be more than like 30$ i go eeeeeeesh i....cant really justify spending that
mmhm, though some AAA games now have yes many miccro and not so micro-transactions behind that 60$ initial payment1
Right, because $60 can't actually pay for AAA game dev costs
now whose fault is it that the games are so big, well,
(and yes obvs there's a lot of corporate greed in there too)
A combination of ambition and demand?
consumers ultimately
i dont like that bigger is considered better now
Move to #off-topic-discussion ? This seems like it might get long
true
true! thanks
(devs skimming off their workers and pushing them into crunch to wring profit out of these massively oversized bloated projects...)
Yeah, #off-topic-discussion
i have a doctor's appt during the ama :(
oh nooo
i am here and ready to know the hades secrets
@timber light no spoilers in this channel please!
ah, oops
thank you
hello nerd
oh god, what's this nerd doing here
@grand sonnet Hades is going to come to other platforms once early access is done
New to Discord and can't for the life of me figure out why Ask-Supergiant is read only
because questions are closed
the channel is open for a little while, and then it closes so they can answer!
They announce it and you wait until it opens up for questions.
They @ everyone to give warning
Oh jeeze
I got in, but no one has answered my questions 😭
i only know a little of camus but it's really interesting to see that as an inspiration
Greg mentioned him. Camus was a french philosopher and writer.
He has some takes on the absurdity of life.
Good stuff.
I'll look into him. I DM a homebrew system where the super giant worlds weigh heavily in the lore. More info is always good
Camus is the saddest guy in the world, no wonder he inspired sgg
How many travel bans does cait have
Dude I forgot Rucks was called The Stranger
I was looking this up thinking you were talking about Tariq for some reason
Internationally wanted.
omg cait
So that's a sad book
yeah
I wanna go scroll through their Q&A now and see exactly how they said he/this book inspired them, because... Damn
oh wait what book were you talking about
@plush wadi I think you answered the wrong question there, bud
he changed it
I see that now, whoops
hey does any character in hades smoke
Hypnos vapes
cursed but accurate
i feel like ||Patroclus|| would smoke
that's what i was thinking
see in all sgg games there's always a very attractive smoker character and from that i feel like jen zee is definitely a smoker
i mean you're dead anyway you might as well
thanatos smokes cloves
Skelly definitely is about the 420 life
important question: who smokes the candy cigarettes
oh my god imagine dusa in a cool leather jacket with the candy cigs
the coolest person ever
YES

if volfred is so good how come they never made a volfred 2
@velvet tide oral leg
dont like this
good old olaf
achilles and volfred similarities:
-write books
-disrespect authority
-think they're responsible for their respective boyfriend's death
confirmed
to be fair achilles was responsible for his boyfriend's death,
should have asked greg in the ama how much it hurts his soul to write in achilles style
i saw you typing
how many years of life do you lose every time achilles abuses a comma splice
@deep blade Nah I was just gonna say I like writing Achilles a lot and think that style of character comes maybe somewhat more naturally to me than some others. He was one of the first I started writing for the game, written specifically with Logan in mind, and so on.
Sometimes writing is excruciating and sometimes it goes more smoothly, and Achilles was on the 'more smoothly' side at least in the conception. He has some stuff in common even with Rucks from Bastion -- someone with plenty of hindsight and regret.
i'm proud of him for using a metaphor in one of the new codex entries even if he still thinks caramelization is sorcery
Achilles not knowing about caramelization is historical authenticity.
He knows where all the vital organs are, though. Just hasn't come up in conversation thus far.

Hi guys, love you and love your games.
But can I ask that you add a small discount for Hades on Epic Games Store for those in South America. We got banged around with the pricing and now there this no discount on your amazing game.
I would love to play it but $12 is a bit too much for me.
Thank you
12$ for what looks like a real damn good video game is a amazing price for it imo
I'm from Peru and $12 is a lot of money
the way i see it is (I apologize if this comes off as harsh) SGG cannot make accommodations for one country/continent as that will open the floodgates for every other country in the world that gets screwed by currency conversion
@dire sand A lot of people here will be ignorant when it comes to the pricing of your country. Don't take it personally.
ie Australia and Canada
I appreciate the response
@faint moth People in Peru or other latin countries generally do not make nearly as much as someone in Canada or Australia. So even though games in those countries are more expensive, the average salary is a lot more and so is the quality of life (generally).
the average salary sadly doesn't reflect the median salary in australia at all (average is something like 45 - 50k) whereas the median is 30k before tax
It's nice that these "Stores" (Epic, Steam, ...) cater the pricing for countries
they are definitely stores, just not in the traditional sense of the word
Thank you guys for the comments
I hope SGG is able to work something out for your country
I know this is not the platform to ask this but I thought I might get a response from SGG
Ya I hope 😄
I get that Guy, larger devs/publishers are able to make comprimises for some countries due to the amount of capital they already have
a small indie dev like SGG doesn't quite have that luxery
either email or @ ing one the devs on twitter would be your best bet
the devs sometimes respond here too though
never used twitter lol
babs your at stuck im forever haunted by oral leg now jfjfjg
ur welcome
I'm really enjoying Hades so far, and in particular I like that the devs found a way to allow for 21:9 resolutions without altering the field of view in-game. I've got 2 questions:
-
Will the sidebar art be something that will be added to w/ an option to select from the menu, or changing contextually throughout?
-
I've asked about adding 21:9 support to the older games in the past, and was told that because of how the art assets were designed it wouldn't work. Is there any chance that something similar to Hades' solution will come to Bastion, Transistor, & Pyre at some point as well?

Well if it was because the asset resolution was too low, they would have redraw all of them no?
Tall order for a small team already on another project
Hey @bold spindle
-
We don't have immediate plans to change the sidebar art though we welcome the feedback/suggestion to expand on it in #hades-feedback, and there's certainly a chance we'll revisit this before Early Access is complete.
-
Likewise we don't have immediate plans to update our past games with this, though we've sporadically updated them over time so we haven't ruled anything out. Thank you for the interest and for the positive impression about this!
hi, jsut got the game an loving it. one issue though, when usin an xbox controller i get serious stuttering in game
its doing it with mouse and keyboard to
the cpu usage goes from 15 to 2% then back up
@knotty scroll is it a 360 or a One? My Xbox One controller works fine. I just had to tweak the deadzone, which is something that the devs included and just one more reason I feel like this is going to be their most polished game.
Using and xbox one, tried 2 different controllers and mouse and keyboard. It's not a dead zone thing, the game is stuttering going from max to 3 fps then going back up and then it's dropping its cpu usage then going back up
Thanks for the info @cursive galleon
I can't post in #hades-feedback, though
read the pinned posts
You need the role i think
just buy bastion on switch today 👀
saw about the sale. sucks. you guys do what you need to. im backin yall for as long as youre in the business.
Howdy, I was wondering about the best people to talk to about where to post something that is music kinda Self-Promotion that is also Supergiant Fandom related in the next day or so. I don't want to post something where I shouldn't 😃 I also don't wanna tag the mods directly - coz I'm not sure if that's ok 😃 (also plz advise if I should move this post somewhere else)
Was anyone here at CT Gamercon? I heard someone singing We All Become from a match VoD
If it's self promotion, it's safe to post in #self-promotion for sure
I figured it would at least be fine there - but whether it would leak into fan-works as well 😃
fanworks would probably be the better fit if it's something like a cover you've done or whatnot
It's kinda a project of a number of fanworks 😃
That I produced with a bunch of people 😃
I dare not say anymore in the server without spoiling the surprise though. lol
I'm happy to be DM'd if mods want more details.
Have Greg and rest of the folks at SG said anything about moving away from Epic? Like, I love SGG and I've been rooting for them since Bastion, but what with the exclusivity deals going on with higher profile games, EGS's monopolistic ambitions and the recent sale debacle (which SGG got unfortunately wrapped up in) it's not a good look. I get that EGS gives a better cut and Hades is supposed to be EGS-exclusive through Early Access but... Epic Games has gone cartoonishly evil at this point.
They haven't said anything, no.
It's just my two cents, but if I had to guess, moving to an entirely new platform in the middle of the Early Access process would probably be difficult at best and would cause even more confusion and possibly legal issues, depending on if contracts were involved (which seems likely)
That's fair, and I'm not too miffed about it. I'm waiting until Hades is released anyways, playing story-based games EA tends to ruin the experience for me. Still haven't finished Pit People even though it's complete.
Aiight, back to lurking.
My understanding was that it was confirmed Hades will come to other stores (steam) on full launch
Right. Presumably not going anywhere during EA though.
yea
man I can't wait for ea to end D:
i cant look in announcements
Am I the only one that can't read #announcements because all that shows up is a "load more messages" on top and clicking it just does nothing?
okay
heh
I'm actually experiencing that as well!! Discord blip? 🤔
I guess
Resolved for me, might be good now?
nope
@knotty scroll I've had the same issue in the past
greg too powerful it broke announcement chat
You're gonna need to uninstall it via device manager, and set it back up
I reloaded discord while in another channel and it works now
I had reloaded it while in the channel before and didnt work
Alternatively, don't use bluetooth for it
Very sad that Supergiant Games left iOS/Android ☹️
@zealous bolt did you find a fix?
@olive hull and what about Pyre/Hades or maybe mobile exclusive ? No new games 😒
... hard to imagine playing any of those on a phone
hades is not done yet.....
It won’t even be on other storefronts on PC until it’s out of early access
@olive hull I understand, but we doesn’t got any fresh/new game from Supergiant at smartphones.
I imagine the reason pyre is not on mobile, or on the switch, is because porting takes time and money and supergiant are busy making another game right now.
i don’t know much about it but I imagine it’s also more difficult to port to mobile since you have to make a whole new control scheme for it
I know that for bastion, the order you get the weapons as well as the way some of them fire was altered so the game will work better with touch controls
Oh really? Didn’t know that, neat
Yeah, I could imagine Pyre would be more complicated to port to mobile than their other games given the controls
I'd love to see Pyre on Switch someday myself, but Supergiant's definitely got their work cut out for them with Hades.
Supergiant makes great games for smartphones in the past, but today we got nothing. I don’t tell anybody to port or make game right now, I just say we (mobile gamers) lost one of the best indie mobile dev.
well, you didnt "lose" them
i mean. first of all they do not make games for smartphones
second of all, just because they dont have any current plans to port pyre and hades (when its done) to smarphones doesnt mean they wont in the future
but who knows
Sounds like there was a bit of confusion! As Alma said, we've made games in the past for consoles and brought them to mobile afterward. This process, which we call porting, can be varying levels of difficult depending on the game you're trying to port and the device you're trying to bring it to.
Though we've brought Bastion and Transistor to mobile devices, our games aren't initially made for phones or tablets.
But we're very thankful for the interest, and it's always good to hear when people want to see our games in more places. We're currently focused on bringing Hades to its full release, so any further mobile ports are unlikely (at least for now!).
I just noticed- is Logan not in the Discord?
logan doesn't discord :(
Not as of now, nope! I don't know if Discord is his speed. 😄
Sad face, he would be a blast in voice channels.
But understandable. :P
"HEY, SAY KID JUST RAGES FOR A WHILE".
There are several supergiant folks who don't hang out here - Cait's around pretty regularly, and Greg, Amir comes in to work on the feedback channel, and Morgan and Ed/Dexter can generally be reached about tech stuff, but most others kinda keep to themselves. 😛
yeah, the others mostly tend to come around for the q&as and whatnot
(I don't blame them we are kind of scary)
Let them know that we love the work that you do!
d
Hey peeps, popping in to say I bought Hades yesterday and what a treat it is. Also going back to finally finish Bastion and Transistor!
👏
nice!!!
I’m going to make it my mission to finish Bastion over the summer lol
do it!! 🅱astion is good as hell
Agree! I own it on 3 different systems! PC, PS4 and iPhone! Same with Transistor minus PC
So I just bought Hades yesterday during the Epic sale, and holy crap. Game is fun as hell, and even moreso, it's the first roguelike since Isaac that actually drew me in to the universe and made me feel like I was involved in a really cool story. Special props to the writers and absurdly good voice actors.
Quick question what is this emote and who made it haha
ResidentSleeper is an emote and expression used on twitch.tv and within the gaming community. It symbolises boredom, originating from a man who fell asleep on stream.
An interesting emote inclusion choice
¯_(ツ)_/¯
OH okay
wight if it makes you feel any better this was an SGG decision and not a request from the mods
😄
we just came in one day and they were like "say hello to our new emote"
I know there are some Twitch channels that have the original ResidentSleeper emote banned because they find it offensive, as it's often used in a trolling manner
Oh, I'm not saying it was anyone's doing aside from SG 😆
i found this emote halfway through a dm i was like HOLD UP. HOLD THE PHONE. WHYS THIS HERE
oh my god its a trolly emote....everyone here better use it RESPONSIBLY
I'm not saying people shouldn't use it, by any means. It's just one of those things that I acknowledge as having baggage. Like "stan" and Pepe
i cant believe zag fell asleep on stream
it was sisyphus' stream too
Halfway through Tartarus u gotta take a catnap sometimes
Really, though, shouldn't it be ResidentHypnos?
Jmoomoonmooe
i'm like 90% sure she's reading that message and losing it right now
it's important that this is public knowledge
in the credits we'll see her listed as environmental art and selected twitch emotes
That’s the twitch integration you just see little zag emotes in the background during fights

Release order for me! I've ended up getting all of them within 6 months or so after release (just got Hades!)
Bastion > trna, pyre in backlog and planning on getting hades
all of you would like to make a game of Nordic mythology?
I've just played Pyre atm!
Bastion - Transistor - Hades... ... ... ... I haven't gotten round to Pyre yet :o
I think I'm probably in the minority, but Pyre's my personal favorite!

i just had a thought; wouldn't sybil and dionysus really hit it off?
i...... get the feeling they throw VERY different parties x)
i imagine sybil would find a dionysus party to be rather base
T O G A
P A R T Y
i would much rather go to a dionysus party tbh
I would much rather stay home from either 😛
They would probably give unsolicited advice to each other on how to "improve" their parties
sybil and dio fierce party rivalry
look it's either a jojo character or celne freakin dion

had an epiphany today, thinking about the supergiant game that will come after hades-
imagine a game in that supergiant art style, but completely black and white
even more noir than transistor
ouh thats neatorino..
it would definitely be an interesting direction to go in
and i think supergiant is one of the few devs that could pull it off
what i would love to see them do after hades is take a REALLY long nap first of all but also, a rhytm game
take a nap is priority after hades fr sure... get some rest supergiant...
Its Time..... for a game in space
still have my fingers crossed for a horror title
oh man
yes
absolutely yes
please take notes, devs who are in the server
noir black and white space rhythm game
its what the people want!
its what the people need
with horror elements
god that would be wild
it's just crazy enough for supergiant to pull it off
crypt of the necrodancer but space and noir
absolutely
but darren goes absolutely wild with the genre
also kinda want the detective elements too
new orleans jazz techno horror
YES
in all seriousness, i do think its actually a pretty good concept
a noir-styled, black and white space game
it basically tackles two big things supergiant hasent done
a black and white colour palette, and a space game
would be something completely new
they haven't done a cooking game yet
and i think they have enough experience as a developer to pull it off
lol, that is true
and they probably never should
pshfdjfsd
hell yeah!!
Let's start some discourse: Out of Bastion, Pyre, and Transistor, which had the best soundtrack?
The answer is Yes
massive applause
What's Hades about? In terms of gameplay, value, and suggested cost
To anyone who's played it
And cares
It's a unique take on a roguelike with a strong overarching narrative. Well worth the asking price, if you ask me
Does one think it might eventually come to steam?
After it's out of Early Access, yes
Ah, thank you. The first thing that shows up in the search bar is that it isn't, ha ha ha.
There's an answer from the devs about that in #hades-faq
Will Hades ever come to Steam or other platforms?
We expect to bring Hades to a variety of other platforms once Early Access is complete, including Steam. That’s not for a while so we can't make any promises here yet.```
My bad, my bad.
I didn't think to look there before I blundered here, sorry.
Thanks for the time I've wasted ;)
No worries
Thanks for the help sir
Same
Same!
If one where to own all three games and have already played Pyre, what game would you play?
Why?
Transistor is a beautiful story told in a fantastic game
It's the culmination of every storytelling in game technique come together
Bastion is great, and the foundation of it is all over transistor
Is there one you enjoyed more?
I'd recommend transistor over bastion, personally
They're mostly mechanically different, I don't know how much you know about that
Well I think transistor is slower and you tell your character to move, but bastion is direct control
You can more directly in transistoe
And switch to the turn () mode where you plan out moves
Thanks for the help sir
Npnp
I love turn(), I found it a really engaging combat system
i love turn() as a combat system but i'd recommend bastion's story over transistor
transistor. frustrated me at times.
Yeah the homophobia really jumped out with the camerata, it is ... hmm
I have thus far found Transistor more engaging than I do Bastion but ... 😰
Not sure I'd describe it as homophobia but there are certainly some questionable aspects
I mean, it's textbook buried gays and predatory lesbian, that's homophobia
h
(this prob a better convo for the transistor channel)
(Fair enough)
(thanks!!)
In terms of the difference between bastion and transistor the story needs more active investigation and thought in the latter
i mean, i wouldn't describe it as that so much as............yes, transistor needs more active thought but in many cases to. understand the basic facts of what's happening.
like there's a difference between 'you need to think and investigate to uncover what happened' and...............a lot of the timeline and backstory being obscure, confused, or contradictory
and i don't feel that transistor hit that mark exactly
(in case you didn't backread - this convo continued in the transistor channel!)
oh okay! thanks 👍
semantically i do believe you are correct
my statement was meant to be indicative of the typical complaint i hear about transistor and story engagement (although i don't feel that way about it)
yeah there were it branched oddly
