It's so pretty and the music is awesome and the cast is excellent and the plot is top tier and your choices matter. It's so good

You have to read a fair amount, though. But if you're fine with that it's so worth it giving Pyre a chance

end game spoilers ||if tam goes up, she attacks the commonwealth during the revolution. she doesn't make up with pam. if they're on the same side (possibly only downside but i don't remember exactly), tam attacks pam but they begin to reform their relationship. it's a personal choice but imo i feel like letting tam up just plays into guilt and doesn't contribute to her growth as a character, which is to find inner forgiveness and let her sister chill for a while before attempting reconciliation||

Anyway, I ended up with the Reader, Ti'zo, Volfred and Bertrude to remain in the Downside since I headcanoned they'd be content. Especially, me being the Reader, I'd want my comrades to live out their lives in a free world. Whereas me, I'd have to keep looking over my shoulder for being able to read... and who knows? Maybe one day the Downside will recover into an utopia.||

finally finished it and I only can say that is wonderful but I would like to ask something, is there any explanation of why the GOG version doesnt support achievements?

also seriously nobody who speak spanish didnt reported that the game's cast in the credits is mistranslated in the spanish translation?

cast in Spanish should be "Elenco" but for some reason is "Arrojar" that translated is "Throw out"

I don't know how it happened but I guess that the translator didn't know that he was translating the credits and guessed that it was something referring to gameplay since cast also means emission

I also had a few other issues with the game translation like some text is not translated or is half translated or sometimes the reader is named with other sex pronouns (I specially noticed this issue in the end when reading the biography of everyone) but tbh I didn't bother most of them excepting the ending one

Blink works very well with cast. Shield can't cancel after-blink animation, while saplings do

Their shield can be upgraded with one of their masteries, so it can shield the whole group

If no upgrades/talismans are involved, you basically have two choices: have your sap guard your pyre at all times, or try to gradually move him forward, using saplings as your aura amplification for said sap or your other teammates

a game doesn't need to be hard to be a fun experience That said, it's certainly worth replaying on higher difficulty, after my first time through I started a maximum difficulty run and lost nearly every match, still had a lot of fun.

Greetings, everyone. I just wanted to say how happy and grateful I am that this game exists. It's not only my favorite game of all time, but my favorite piece of media of all time. Just finished Pyre, and with that all four Supergiant Games titles. Managed to complete the campaign in 14 hours on the hardest available difficulty, had a Rites record of 22-4 in the end, although I didn't use any of the difficulty modifiers, as I had been a bit burned by them in Transistor and didn't really feel like knocking around the natural flow of the gameplay, at least for my first attempt.

Now having played them all, I'd have to say I just about enjoy the experience of playing Pyre as much as Hades, which I believe to be quite a statement for what it's worth. The story is in my opinion the best the Supergiant titles have to offer, although Hades is a very close second, the difference for me mostly coming down to the player having more agency over the story's outcomes and the slightly more in depth characters. I had put in 8 hours each to Transistor and Bastion, and I did mostly feel those hours. However, I completed Pyre in 3 days, including 6.5 hours on the final day, and the last day especially felt like nothing. Any game that can do that for me is an instant hit.
The soundtrack is great as usual, although admittedly I didn't actually end up paying quite as much active attention to it than the other three games, especially compared to Transistor, which probably mostly comes down to having more elements to engage with and perhaps the soundtrack being more complementary to the game than taking centre stage as it does in times in the other three games.
The gameplay is very interesting. In concept it is very simple, probably the simplest of all the SGG titles, but having been a long-time Rocket League player, I appreciate the intricacies found within the concept, and honestly it made for the most entertaining gameplay of all four games for me. I would oftentimes find myself at the edge of my seat during the Rites, and the Liberation Rites especially got me pretty pumped up admittedly, I'd go so far to say it's the most raw fun I've had playing any singleplayer game thus far.

A 10/10 game, what absolute fun Pyre gave me, and I will be more than happy to return to it in the future.

Officially, almost certainly no, but a fan translation is possible if said fans would be willing to put in the work. It's not hard technically to do so, but incredibly laborious for the translators as it's tens of thousands of text lines

What makes me "sad" is that in the game files there was a folder in "pt-br" but they gave up on it

Supergiant has become my favorite developer, I bought all the games in this steam sale and I'm loving them all, but the language is a barrier

yeah, this is kinda of unpleasent knowing that a lot people here in Brazil won't be able to appreciate all the game's magnitude. I literally just finished the game with 38 hours on it and wrote almost every concept that I could rely on to have good knowledge of the richest game in terms of lore in my opinion

its very good! its a bit niche but its an amazing game. i always describe it as half visual novel half fantasy basketball but thats a very simplistic description and if you appreciate a good story in games its a must play

its also not too long (13-15 hours depending on your reading speed i think) but i personally replayed it a lot because it has a lot of different variations to events which adds to the replayability and its just a charming game. also its super cheap rn on the steam sale which ends really soon, so if you asked because of that, go for it

||I'm replaying the game with a friend and going for some new options. I decided to let Tamitha go and just sandbag the second liberation rite. Does this mean I'm locked out of a peaceful revolution ending?
It's my understanding that the peaceful ending needs 6 nightwings liberated, and now that I've purposefully lost one rite I'm worried ther won't be enough to free my 6 nightwings and get a good ending.||
