I'm mainly having a hellish time trying to read what's happening. It's so... busy. His attack pattern is new but ||Medea|| added to the mix makes reading his tells a nightmare. This is the first fight that's taken me 5+ times so far.

interestingly those two fights kinda flip in terms of which is more difficult over time, imo.
||rivals Polyphemus is hard to get used to but also very predictable, and once you learn how to dodge the poison attacks it can feel pretty free. Hecate meanwhile is way more similar to her base fight so it's not hard to get used to, but once you turn your fear up higher and add in more vows she can be very annoying, and she has a lot more variation in which attack patterns she uses||
if you're having trouble learning the patterns I personally like starting with a ranged (or cast-focused) build, since that gives you more wiggle room. ik trying to learn it with axe can be rough

that one is probably the hardest to dodge consistently, but you can learn to time it right—I feel like I delay my dodge more than normal, and I try to position far away so the attacks overlap less when they reach me.

in the book of shadows once you have the required incantation - do the multiple empty hearts with different gift icons (ambrosia, lures, salts) mean you can gain a heart and get an event by gifting said npc any of the above? i always thought you could only give them nectar because it says "_ would welcome an offering of nectar" and such and the leftmost heart doesn't have any markers in it but i'm starting to wonder what the empty hearts to the right of the unmarked one mean, and if their visibility on certain characters indicates that they'd also welcome an offering of a special outing item

I'm also confused by the fact that the game seems like it would let you attempt to gift some but not all outing items to characters even when there aren't any empty hearts with the requisite icon in the book i guess i just find the whole system confounding

When you clear all the hearts without an icon (which you do by gifting nectar) and there is only the special ones it will say they will be welcome to either ambriosia bath salt or fishlurs you just have to finish all the nectar ones

even at baseline Circe is really good! upgrades are fine but the majority of what makes it op doesn't come from nightmare upgrades
the main appeal is 2x cast damage (and optionally 2x cast AoE), upgrading it just increases the leash damage from the line between you and your familiar, but that's really not vital

yeah! it makes your animal familiar drop a cast circle whenever you do, with all your cast boons on it
so stuff like storm ring from zeus goes crazy, and you can stack omega cast effects and do huge burst damage

you can overlap both casts over the same enemy for 2x damage, or spread them out for more AoE. either way is great

I suppose you mean at the Wretched Broker? It's been available as an option for me since before release It appeared long before the epilogue, and before I had unlocked all aspects. I think it appeared after I had collected some ||Nightmare || but don't know.

It's 1200 bones for 1, and you can only buy 1 after each attempt.

Same with the box you use to place an order. I don't remember that it required an incantation. Seems to simply be activated by progression.

Raki and Toula actively seek out and attack enemies
Gale follows you around pretty closely
Hecuba and Frinos vaguely follow you around but a bit less closely/reliably (but also I have the least experience using them with Circe so may just be less familiar with how they work)

Personally I find Gale the most fun to use with Circe, but all of them work fine. Few things in the game make you care about familiar positioning, but it's something you can lean for sure, and none of theur movement patterns are fully random.

Generally it feels pretty easy to get both cast circles on a boss imo. I recommend testing it, or looking up some Circe gameplay. I was just doing some speedrun attempts with it earlier tonight (with Raki) and it's crazy strong lol.

I realize this is likely just a case of getting good but... Anyone else really struggling with the mini bosses in general? I've beaten the underworld path 7 times now with relative ease. I can get past ||Prometheus|| fairly often on the surface. I've faced ||Typhon|| a handful of times but I find myself actively avoiding mini-bosses unless the reward is too great.

Lately I've been greatly demoralized by the ||Summit|| ones. I can reach them no problem with 3 (or in the case of lady night 5) DD but as soon as I hit ||Spawn or Eye (I've gotten better at Twins and Tail is just a joke)|| it's like going up against a brick wall that rips straight through me.

In the relationship trackers... Are you meant to give bath salts and twin lures at any point you want or are they required at specific points to progress the tracker in the same way ambrosia was used in H1? It seems like its the latter but each time I give nectar to fill the heart before the one that has a lure/bath icon, the icon just moves.

I think you can give at any point, but to progress some story, there are some specific points

Alright cuz I tried giving bath salts to Odysseus early on and he refused it. I did get to go fishing with him once but now he won't take anything but nectar.

I'm fine with giving just nectar but I don't want to miss out on any specific bath/fishing dialogue by doing only nectar either, so it'd be nice to know if/when I need to do more than just that or if it doesn't matter and I should just bathe/fish when I feel like it.

The lazer column traps in Tartarus seem hard to hit and destroy… I’m wondering if it’s because I have aim assist on and it just kept aiming at enemies instead of the traps.

Anyways, my attempt to destroy them to make it safer was not successful and I died instead.

2 timer, 2 hubris, 1 menace, + denial is fairly free I think
just manage your max magick if you're playing stuff that uses a lot, and figure out how denial works before the run

I think return is also pretty easy if you want to swap something out for that (again just make sure you know how it works), and shadow + rivals only affect specific fights so how easy they are depends how much you struggle with those fights.
fangs can also be nice to work on the prophecy for it

||underworld is easier overall if you want to finish it first, but personally I just bounced between both routes a lot, there's no set order||

thats something to practice and manage. In hades 1 when I beat 32 heat I was at 200bpm heart rate when I won. In this game I run 32 fear completely composed. Its gonna take a couple tries and practice to not stress out at the final boss but it will happen

in fact id say chronos is designed completely with that stress in mind, because the scythe throw is dodged if you stand completely still right in front of him. But if you dodge to one side you might get hit as it starts, and the other as it ends. Combine with him freezing you to standstill, if you're stressed you mash to get out of it and dodge into an attack and get hit. If you're calm you let it pass and respond to what he does

the wiki says you need to get the "true ending" which i assume means the epilogue since its not like theres a bad ending but the wiki is also wrong a lot

Does that just mean I'd need to backtrack down to Fear 1 after to get that Nightmare resource? Since they're all weapon locked
