and you cant just spam omegas over and over with the crit buff since each one also wastes another crit shot with a regular attack if you get something like explosive ambush or something

Getting the hang of the game better, though still learning what's the best weapon for my playstyle. First game it was bow, but this one I can't really seem to nail one down. Can now consistently beat Chronos, though I'm still struggling against getting past Eris. Feel pretty good about this, I don't get to play much.

essentially just half asleep bashing my X+A buttons from room 1 after starting nova strike

I'd recommend learning 32 Fear with Timer 3 active. It's not the easiest way to do 32 fear, but it's good prep if you want to go for 50 later on

Best prep for 50 is to just turn on all the timewasters with the 5 min so you can learn to deal with em sooner

32 for doing 32 won't do 5 timer with Hordes 3 and Wards 2 for sure, but prep for 50 would want em

Yea i usually throw tooth on when I get to tart even with strength, if you are low its a good way to heal with scars on and it's also insurance against getting frozen into chronos auto kill lol

If you have really high armor though maybe best not to because armor so much more effective when strength is active

I find Axe to be a bit inconsistent when it uses a dash strike vs. continuing an attack combo after a dash so I tend to start with a special more often to ensure I'm resetting my attack

I managed to do a whole run doing 99% dash strikes on a video

but I find it easier if you start a semi-sprint so you can do it twice

I've been relying on Menal Block to save me. Using a dash, special, attack, get out combo. I started learing axe without dashing heave and the base dash strike has such a small aoe I found it easier to use Mental Block to get the full sweeping attack off. Plus Using Heaven Flourish, the attack after it is enough to detonate blitz so it does a ton of damage

@plucky kestrel I saw your feedback and had opinions on toasting fork so I decided to do a toasting fork run. Admittedly, I had fun but only cause I got super lucky with kings random and PomPomPom from echo. So Blitz and toasting fork where super jacked. By the end of the run Blitz would deal 4279 or something like that. But even so without full focus towards toasting fork or the super luck I got it’s not good 99% of the time. It would almost never go off on its own in a common run and if you wanted it to you would have to stop dealing damage and run away from enemies. The high blitz damage I got would be strong enough alone when it’s firing over and over again. so yeah I don’t think it needs to exist in the game as it currently does and should be reworked or replaced. #h2-feedback message

Storm Ring was the main damage, especially once I got Killer Current. Then Heaven Flourish for extra damage on Bosses and beefier targets. I don't think I used a single Omega Move

Got my first Fresh File First Run win. I am not sure what the common strategy for it is, but I was aiming for Flame Strike + Arctic Ring into Freezer Burn (didn't get the latter). What I did get though, right before the Chronos fight, was Phoenix Skin, and, I am not ashamed to admit, I lamed him out with it.

Did the second run just for fun and to see if there is a change in character interactions, and not really? They do congratulate you on beating Chronos but it's the same lines as if you'd beaten him on any other run for the first time. But! Beating Chronos before meeting Hades for the first time does give you different dialogue

And all in all, the dialogue system does get a bit funky if you beat Chronos that early, like Skelly asking me to give him twenty after I had beaten Chronos. Which is understandable, it's hardly the intended experience, it's just kinda funny.

May be wrong, iirc world record runs (previous patches) usually aim to get Poseidon Breaker Sprint, then Apollo + Poseidon duo (Beach Ball) to get as much base damage as possible. Then you stack up magic + poms for sprint
