this is what i usually take for 32 the mobs are pretty egregious and channeling special is almost never worth it idk

if i'm running a special focused build i'd need to diversify boon pool to include some kind of defensive but it's a lot harder to do on surface bc harder enemies smaller stages and less overall boons

so i end up spreading it too thin and then default on just focusing on something proc or attack based

I cleared 50f pan and while its still weaker end its so much better. I want it to have longer cast duration too so that it is better then “not bad anymore” but piercing on the basic special is a huge boost. Posedien/hera on special makes add clearing significantly better now because it hits 5 targets at a time in your cast and is faster then charging

You still omega for bosses, but basic special is queen of add clear now

i say its good for practice because even if you do take a lot of damage, you can learn to minimize the damage taken per region compared to just dying over and over in erebus and not really getting practice in the rest of the run

Yeah I agree. It reduces chance by letting you take extra boons in erebus (e.g. you can potentially skip arachne for a boon, you can take trials, etc.) without worrying about getting room skips like cocoon or nem or artemis. And tbh (at least on coat) plenty of attack boons are fine, so no need for a keepsake to get your attack boon. My 50f clear I didn't even get an attack boon until shop before cerberus.

But while reducing chance is good, it was definitely way too easy. It honestly felt like 32 fear before the update.

Yes and no - There are some things you want to do, but I don't feel like much beyond that. Overall you're kinda just hoping to

1.) Get Hera legendary
2.) Find Chaos and roll Creation
3.) Ideally, get Narcissus' element reward

So of course, you want a lot of rolls, but beyond that...not much you can do to affect those other than start early with Dem keepsake and choose things so that your build is very flexible (so that being forced into mediocre options after a bad roll won't slow you down too much)

Creation is what you want, not paupers. Pauper is the negative chaos term for no money gain for x rooms. Creation is the positive chaos term for Elements.
Also its Hera Legendary, not Dem

charon 50f clear. Very scrappy run, i think i ended up using 9 DDs in all. Accidentally took the wrong keepsake and had to use born gain instead of lucid gain so ran out of mana halfway through chronos phase 2 and had to finish up with normal special which was pretty nerve wracking. Charon is so broken still haha.

Nothing too big of a victory (only +4 oath) but this combo of +9 Heroic Volcanic Flourish that has only a 2s cooldown(!) and 400 base damage, Chain Reaction that double explosions when they are reactivated right after cooldown and Grand Caldera (bigger and stronger explosions) that I got from Charon right before Chronos I beat that snobbish Titan in probably less than a minute.

And with the constant "freeze" frames when an explosion is triggered I swear you'd think I had the worst lags ever. Imagine every other second there are 2 freeze frames in quick succession

Having tried both at 50 im still on 3dd most of the time. 50% dr is great and doubles hp, but having three dds opens up the ability to get tons of them over a run via athena/echo/charon well/narcissus. at lower when scars isnt active sure but dds are refillable and lead you to more hp total on the hardest points

I just oneshot Prometheus with this build!! First time leaning heavily into Dark Side and this was such a safe build that I genuinely felt ready to tackle the 4th region. Went into the fight completely blind, with no clue of what to expect. Such a fun fight! The only reason I survived was because of how safe my build was, but Dark Side surprised me by doing a tremendous amount of damage. I also oneshot the Mega-Dracon this run.

Just had the best run of my entire life. Was doing my final testament with Moros torches on 24 heat, and I turned it into a death sentence for my enemies. I used Chaos's keepsake to get two instances of Strike, paired with a heavily upgraded Aphrodite attack boon. Plus a bunch of other attack-boosting boons, a good cast and special, Seeking Arrows, and...the bosses just died. Like, instantly. I shredded each one in less than thirty seconds, Chronos in about 45. It wasn't fair, but it was sooooo fun. I'm gonna report the double chaos boons as a bug, but still...Supergiant can't take the memory. That was the best run ever

Just had a sub-20 minute run at 16 fear with Aspect of Pan Sister Blades. I beat Scylla in just under a minute. I had the Apollo sprint + Nitro Boost, I moved insanely quickly; I had Support Fire from Artemis, Hera’s flourish, Poseidon on attack, I just shredded the underworld. God that felt so good. The sister blades went from my second least favorite pre-Olympic update to my second favorite. Just incredible
