I choose a very challenging chaos boon at the beginning. Omega anything does a crapload of damage for 4 rooms, but if you survive that, you restore 19 hp/room from then on. I was able to get a Hera special/Hestia Attack Aspect of Moros Origination

I also got some unique Homer dialogue. "What Melinoe did next was so gruesome that it would surely limit the appeal of this tale"

Fitting, for how NPCs have a bit of dialogue regarding how Fear supposedly affects things

Once again, with VOw of Forsaking I usually get All boons banned at Tartarus. So if i had more boons earlier than i would get all boons banned just earlier, and wont get any strength

Wow, just reached 24F with all weapons. This build goes to show that you never restart a run because of how it can all completely turn around. This run with Eos started horribly with 1 Defiance lost in Erebus, the first Poseidon followed by 3 Aphrodites and no more Poseidon until Tartarus. 3 more Defiances taken off by Scylla's final fish attack (note to self: don't go into that fight with a Chaos stun curse on!), only to randomly end up with the Hera Duo throwing all the Infusion boons at me, all of which activated immediately thanks to betting on Narcissus earlier. Absolutely loving all the random synergies you can accidentally end up with due to all the new systems.

I have flutter strike which is +140% to the base damage of the staff which is only 30.
So my attacks should do 76 damage each.
But instead they do 700+ each.

This is because I found an error in the way they programmed the "Golden Rule" duo boon.
It's supposed to give + 1% damage per 10 gold, and that bonus operates only on the base damage of the weapon.
Here I had 7000 gold.
+700% to the base damage of my weapon should be 210 bonus damage for a total of 286 total damage per hit.
But they programmed it incorrectly and instead it gives an additional 1 damage per hit per 10 gold.
For normal weapons, the difference isn't that noticeable since their base damage + 1% is similar to a flat out +1.
But the staff has incredibly low base damage but allows you hit hit very rapidly.
So the bonus is much more significant and ends up completely breaking the game and giving you infinite damage.

"Golden Rule" also applies a bonus to damage dealt by your casts, the repeating damage from Demeter which hits every 0.5 seconds also benefits from the 700 bonus damage per hit from the duo boon and ends up doing 1400 damage per second on its own.

But ez.

glamour gain is the best way of applying that on daggers since it just activates in your melee range

I finally got a good, (weird?) surface run. Basically, default torches, but I got glamour gain and origination. Anyway, I was running vow of arrogance, and somehow wound up with the Elementary particles duo boon. Would up with Hera's "All commons are now Rares", and lost over half my mana (WHILE I WAS RUNNING TORCHES, MIND YOU). Anyway, also picked up 2 duo boons, the auto-charm someone (basically worthless, in retrospect), and the scorch-weak combo, which I picked up in the shop before Eris. I was not using the duo boosting arcana. Origination carries you far, as per usual.

Got really lucky in the final Charon shop with Aphro legendary (which is probably my favorite boon currently) & activating Veneer at the last possible moment which made the fight significantly easier. Had a sub 9 minute clear on the surface with Eos without trying, still not sure how I managed that.

If I was any good at playing fast I could've taken more timer boons, but unfortunately I'm not. Any time I tried 7 minutes I'd just lose to Hecate

the fastest moros rn is at like 6 minutes and (forgot) seconds, the plan from what i saw was hera cast then heph then activate their duo which actually benefits the explosions since they're considered as attack damage, the current moros any fear wr had zeus special for origination and extra blitz damage, after erebus you take the hermes keepsake up until cerberus then swap for white antler

it's pretty easy to do and very comfy because of defensive Hephaestus boons, I still need more practice to be actually fast though

Just had a pretty mid 14-Nightmare run - Engagement Ring + several Chaos boons killed nearly any small mob and made the larger ones easy to clean up the rest, but my damage was only supplemented by a rare Hephaestus attack boon, so bosses were a slog. I got a lot of boons that run, but few directly increased damage. I did run into Aphrodite's new duo that charms one enemy in each room for the first time, though, which was cool.

Against all odds, I made it to Chronos, where I was sure I would be beaten, since he had run through all my DDs by the second phase and had reduced me to 17 HP before he charged his screen-wipe attack, and when I dodged the attack I was surprised to see an entire half of Chronos' health bar vanish as he collapsed to the ground defeated.

How did this happen? Engagement Ring had managed to Hitch both Chronos and a charmed hourglass minion, who was blasted for 9999 damage, and then shared that damage with Chronos - one of my new favorite ways to kill him

Got to test the pure freezer burn dmg, if it's OP or not. Don't quite feel like it is. Got it rather early. The cd on enemy freeze is a big factor. And even Chronos took 2 mins with lucky Hot Flash at the last shop. If i didn't luck out Tartarus rooms it would've been an easy and painful loss.

Also i overestimated the strength of torches as a ranged weapon. If you want to make it in time you can't be pure ranged, mobs dodge your slow shots too easily and the shots hitbox is quite small.

50F 3 Weapons Streak Done

My very first clear, and I didn't even have to use a Death Defiance. That was the most surprising aspect of it; esp. considering that this run was my first one after not playing the game for weeks.

I got lucky early on, as I could upgrade Flutter Strike to Heroic with Narcissus' keepsake at the very first fountain. On the special, I had freeze, so I had the insane combination of: freezing the enemies from long range, and then cut them to pieces from close range. Both my attack and special had a strong damage output.

I furthermore got Heart Breaker and its Heartthrobs melted a lot of enemies as a side-effect.

And it got almost ridiculous once I acquired Wispy Wiles with 18% dodge chance, as it allowed me to play very aggressively.

Entering the final boss fight with Hearty Appetite duo while having above 300 total life was just the cherry on top. Poor Chronos never stood a chance.
