You get all the mana fear for free, can afford onion (all you need is poseidon special, really), and 5 min timer is easy with antler. Rotation is spamming one button and dodging occasionally. Oh, and shields get removed with half a button press, area wide (poseidon)

I was trying to do 45 fear Momus, died in Tartarus on my first attempt. Then decided I don't really feel like learning how to play Momus properly since the playstyle likely won't survive the next balance patch

In my 50 run I had antler only for biomes 3 and 4, didn’t roll King Tide, and still made the timer

Momus feels weird to dodge with since if you start a special it'll lock you into the animation before you can dash away

Yeah, need to get used to that. Demeter cyclones and Hermes Hard Target help to avoid projectiles, and melee mobs can’t really touch you (again, Poseidon)

The purely melee mob rooms can sometimes be done without even moving, the challenge then becomes picking skulls in time. You should give it a try while it lasts, while somewhat broken it can be fun. Need to roll Double Moonshot hammer within first 5ish rooms to have a proper chance, so might take a few attempts.

Hello, its my first post here. Thank you for welcoming me into the community. Finally got my 32 Fear win in, and wanted to share since I'm quite proud of it and I'm not normally good at these types of games. It was a rush and I enjoyed it quite a bit.

It was totally unplanned but the way this build came together was amazing. Bear with me here. I've got the Sudden Cleaver hammer that lets me snap off Ω Specials really quickly and the Controlled Burn boon that increases its cost. With the Alacrity upgrade to the Phase Shift hex, I was able to so much magick on Ω Specials during the hex's slowed-down time, that my hex was nearly ready to trigger again once it was finished. Hearth Gain ensures that I always had enough magick to spend.

So basically, if I was careful, I could chain together a never-ending sequence of Phase Shifts! With Stillness turning me into a death god, as the cherry on top. I wanted to do that Captain Phillips meme at Chronos: "Look at me. I am the Titan of Time now."

50th run. 27 hours. ahhhhhh! i was passing out while playing the game. legit, the microsleeps felt like i was skipping time, my thumb was automatically pressing buttons for me keeping me alive. im not joking, i have no idea how i didnt lose any lives for the whole run!!!

OMG, what a run! Nothing was going my way - failed to get Spiteful until an elite room in Mourning Fields, and lost my last DD that same room. Didn’t get Sudden Cleaver through two normal hammers, so had to gamble with Experimental Hammer in Tartarus (and got it!). Bought back two DD’s in shops, but didn’t even need them at the end. And unexpectedly, it’s my 50th overall clear! Now all aspects are at least 32 Fear, and all weapons at least 40! I can finally rest

I knew this duo had potential from the start, but seeing the Sirens get deleted like that confirmed it. Yea, specials i think are in general just so much better than attacks. Their damage boons give so much more, I def think Aspect of Pan is probably the 2nd best behind Momos Staff. Between that or the skulls for 2nd best.

Depends on the weapon, really. Momus is kind of an outlier, it’s both safe, very high damage and simple to build. I can see doing it with other weapons, but Flames have me a bit puzzled atm, as in whether I got what it takes.

Then it was definitely Artemis 48. Think it can actually climb higher than Pan, since it requires 2 boons to pop off (hammer + born gain), while Pan needs 3 (hammer+pos special + born gain). It’s more lenient on hammers (Artemis needs particular one, while Pan can work with several). Think 48-49ish is still possible for pan, but the margin is very narrow

A very silly 16 Fear run! I had no idea that Echo could duplicate hammer upgrades. Managed to get three Special attack upgrades to the Aspect of Pan. What resulted was a room-filling knife blast. It sucked against Chronos though, that fight probably took half the run. But I did survive against him with 7 health during nearly the entire second phase (until the last couple hitpoints, then I spent my last death defiance). Had my heart RACING the whole time

I got my first victory against Chronos last night! Even with 3 death defiance, I ended the fight with none and only a tiny bit of health. I didn't take a screenshot of the boons and stuff, but I had the axe with a combination of Hephaestus, Aphrodite, and Apollo boons. I had the hammer effect that gives a single smash of 300 damage and Hephaestus' attack boon upgraded to happen every 4 seconds. I had some boons to lessen the damage I took too. Including the runs I did on the surface, it took almost 70 nights to get my first win. I'm still struggling with the Chronos fight, but I can consistently get up to him most of the time.

If you get the hex that lets you summon a dead enemy as a pet, then when you fight Scylla and the Sirens you can summon defeated drummer or guitarist as a pet. Each time your pet siren dies Judgment triggers again to give you another 5 cards and with mana regen you can just keep resummoning them until all cards are online.

This felt super slow, my other clears usually range from 22-25 mins.
I don't know of I'm making a mistake here or not, but this aspect felt like so much effort just to do what it's supposed to do, while Aspect of Melinoe's Twin Torch only needs you to pick Poseidon Special + Hera/Hestia Magick Regen then spam your Omega Special like every 10 seconds and that's it.

To use the aspect properly, you must:

1. Pick a strong Attack and Special boon.
2. Charge your Omega Special every 4 seconds or so.
3. Charge your Attack while also:

• Have yourself stand still, basically becoming a stationary magnet for taking damage.
• Still have the Attack phase through your Specials, resulting in a lot of potential damage loss.

New Momus is a lot of fun. Essentially planting temporary turrets around the map. Build was all over the place and still worked out. Bonus mention to Selene's hex, those summons did such a huge amount of work in Tartarus and against Chronos.
Sad mention to Narcissus keepsake. One day I'll get a fountain room while I have it. One day (it would certainly help if I didn't use it in the last area, but it's pretty much the only keepsake that can be useful there that I have not raised to level 3).

This one was from a couple days ago, but it was my second win. I didn't lose any death defiance because I had over 40% dodge chance and weakness effects and daze, reducing damage further. I was doing quite a bit of damage too.

This is my most recent win that I just got a moment ago. I saw a YouTuber named Haelian attempt winning with only sprinting damage. I thought it could be fun, so I tried it. He did it with Zeus sprint. I did at first, but replaced it with Hephaestus' sprint. It actually worked very well.

Zeus on Aspect of Medea just feels so great to play, I can now see why this is Haelian's favorite Skull Aspect.
Except for the issues it has against enemies like Bawlders, that's just annoying and I hope something gets done about it. 🙏

I hated this aspect before because I went into it with the wrong mindset of charging up all my attacks in one go before doing an Omega Special, which felt super slow and doing very little damage for the time spent.
But thanks to Haelian's vid I now know that you just need to Attack -> Special -> Attack -> Special with Zeus on either repeatedly.

Exact opposite of a victory boast, I despised this run and hated playing with the style it forced me into, aspect of mel axe will not be replayed

my special altogether (my only damage from "poseidons waves" were from my special) did more damage than the rest of the damage on the victory screen combined

Also, I took 536 dmg on the chronos fight, without even trying to tank anything, which may be more damage from chronos than all my other wins combined

Nice! I personally like to double stack aphro on my attack and special and follow up all my omega attacks with an omega special, hook knives work great, might wanna try something like that out!

Another tip, if you already have all 3 dd's, id highly suggest giving Knuckle Bones a try, I personally prefer them to a 4th dd

So I tried to get aphro attack and then hit rare crop on it asap, however in this run I got both the attack, a triple pom, and rare crop in the final shop

Meaning I played with base attack literally until the very last fight

On the aspect of axe that is very focused on attack

I tried the new Aspect of Circe for the first time and... What the heck??? I literally got the most perfect run I've ever gotten?
This was just so ridiculous and was just so freaking fun.

Rapid Thrasher (+50% Attack Speed) + Wicked Thrasher (+30 Attack Power) + Support Fire + Static Shock + Air Quality + Heroic Aphrodite Attack + Extra Dose = BEEG DPS

This is it. My next subsequent Staff runs are just going to be poor replicates of this run screwed over by RNG.

Huwat??? The new Possessed Array is so goddamn broken with Aspect of Medea, you get Omega Attacks for free just by playing the game.
Combined with Apollo Attack, you basically have your screen covered 24/7 by the Omega Attack VFX.
It's probably also really broken with the other Argent Skull aspects, but also Medea especially because of the playstyle.

Finally got a good Aspect of Pan run. People have been hyping this aspect but every time I try it, I've just been not having a good time.
I've been picking up Hera Special for this aspect and thought that might be my error, so this time I tried picking up Poseidon Special instead and... wow this is just so unfair.

One Special volley and Hecate/Scylla/Cerberus/Chronos/Everything just freaking dies instantly or if not, go to their next phase.

Also 17m clear, which I'm pretty sure is my fastest run yet.
My previous attempts also seem to have made the mistake thinking that having Spiral Knives mean I must fully charge up the Omega Special every time when I really don't need to, which basically turns into just me wasting my Magick, especially in walled-up rooms.
