freezer burn and scorch still exists so yeah. It only got better from pre-unseen so daggers in general are still good.
Pan blows comparatively to last patch, but can still perform it just controls like ass now
you have less damage, less control and less finesse than pre unseen pan but even a nerfed pan with half splashes is still disgusting DPS
Seemed like people thought artemis was relatively bad in warsong, but I guess scorch being good helps yeah

Use the special. Like a lot. It’s probably one of the best base kit moves on offer. Pierces, fast, hitstuns, hits twice, you can do other things while it’s flying. A+
Gets bonus damage on the backstab from Mel, can crit twice on Artemis
I think you are better served helping solicit guides from people in the community instead of creating a list of what is good and what isn't that often lacks context

Honestly I don't think tier list matters much for most players ngl. All aspects in the game can clear 32f which is the highest most players will ever play. It's much better balanced than H1 imo

Does Heph's boon cooldown only reach the max of 2 seconds on heroic rarity, or can I reach to the 2 second cooldown with Poms on like just rare or something?
I have never been lucky enough with the Poms or rarify to be able to know
You can reach 2 seconds with any rarity, it's just much more difficult without higher rarity.
gonna interject rq here and just say I think tierlists for this game are fundamentally stupid and should never be taken seriously since so many builds and skill ceilings are simply undiscovered
the most prominent example is blades, where so many people thought mel blades (especially in high fear) was mid but then people realized trick knives were just uber busted a month before the patch dropped
another is just weapon/aspect skill ceilings is largely dependent on whether there is someone willing to push the absolute limits of the weapon on a fundamental level
i personally have made/popularized almost every staff trick and combo known to the high fear community because I pushed this weapon to its absolute limit over the course of multiple patches

Hello, need help with Shiva build. The omega on both are so slow / clunky I'm struggling to get good damage, I tried with Ares for the plasma but still
if you want something fairly easy, demeter attack (it needs to be epic or heroic or you'll feel it though), fish for weed killer, do nothing but spin
Just put Apollo on attack and punch the entire room. Don’t bother with the Omega special/Destruction gimmick except against bosses or the like. If you’re struggling to do the Omega attack in rooms I’m guessing you’re not casting enough to keep things off you.

If you have healing, Strength leans better, especially on the Surface.
If you don't have healing, DDs are gonna be better. Underworld you've got Echo AND Athena offering full refills so DDs can offer a lot more effective HP in a pinch.

Perhaps I missed this (lots of posts on this channel) but I haven't seen anyone talk about zeus dash (with the benefit of hail storm - zeus/demeter duo) on supay as comparable to the beach ball meta build on supay.
I made a build that was somewhat reminiscent of hades 1 rama aspect with zeus special pre-nerf of lighting procs on every special arrow. (I put demeter on attack, special, and cast with only zeus on dash). It worked beautifully. For the hammers I had clean helix and mega spark.
I don't know if it's superior to beach ball but I prefer it to beach ball and hestia builds on supay. Since the devil sparks are firing automatically, it's freezing enemies and repeatedly procing zeus lightning.
ETA: I did have artemis seeking arrow (but that didn't go crazy).
Zeus is often talked about as one of the best rush boons you can put on Supay, plus Arc Flash and Romantic Spark both go brrr on Supay
does Beach Ball actually get buffed by Supay's rush boon boost? or is it just really good since you're always rushing with Supay anyway

Hi. I'm in a situation where I just cleared second surface region but, despite having Hestia keepsake, I only saw on the entire region only one god boon proposed and it was at the last Charon shop. Do you know if the effect "a boon of hestia lis likely" will carry over in the next region if I switch keepsake ?

I don't think that the game has unfair RNG globally, but having one full region with only one boon that is not the one of your keepsake is harsh.

Gain boons are boons that give you magick. For Hera this is named Born Gain
Bloodline is the old Hera boon that is now renamed to Fine Line

/I recently started experimenting with a different arcana loadouts and turning on fully upgraded arcana #11 aka swift runner (achilles) gives players the movement speed to keep outpacing the omega special.

Static shock is good, and arc flash is good with it too tbh, but I mean like it's not worth running around with it when you can just throw o special normally lol
Static shock with master conductor should deal tons of damage with it outside of Typhon
Hmm if you're fast enough you should be able to throw another O special without having the first one return, so maybe theoretically it should be possible to keep stacking the blades and run around

Demeter attack, though you want it at heroic or epic, fish for Weed Killer to make up for the lower multiplier and just, spam the omega attack

basically the freeze makes it safe for you to finish your spin and then start another and it's a Huge aoe on the last two spins
and weed killer more than makes up for the multiplier loss (and it's not terrible anyway on epic/heroic)
Sick I was always scared the mulitplier so ive never picked her up for any runs
Exceptional talent makes the O attack even better too since the damage will keep getting bigger with the longer duration
theres always the special build on apollo, duplicate the special with his legendary and just infinitely heal - especially with giga cleaver.
How does Scalding Vapor work? Can Froth be re-applied while they’re engulfed in Steam? Can the Steam stack?
I keep not taking it because 100 DPS for 2s doesn’t seem worth clearing Froth if I’ve got a source of rapid hits like Gusts. Like, is it meant to be a way to take advantage of Froth if you don’t have a rapid proc for it?
They can be reapplied with tidal ring but the steam will keep removing froth
Not sure if steam can stack since the vfx is pretty hard to see
But dps wise I've always found Steam to be superior to Froth even with like Gusts

I was going for Apollo’s legendary iirc so it’s nice to be able to take a big pile of Apollo boons and not worry about Denial’s forced core swaps possibly messing things up.
Also I just… don’t take Denial at 32 tbh now that there’s Rivals. Boons are fun and I’m also an avid Debt avoider. I think for sane people Denial is still relatively easy fear tho.
What does the optimal combo look like for Morrigan?
Special > dash > atack > after atack keep holding the atack for O atack

there's some weirder stuff you can do for double and triple combos but that's the basic fast combo

yeah I mean in practice it's rarely quite that clean, but the dash into special then cancels into a dash attack and an instant-start omega attack charge

yeah it just boosts the damage of whatever your rush boon is, don't need to do anything to activate it
best rush boons for Supay are Zeus, Hestia, and a decent rarity Demeter imo since you can just sprint continuously without having to dash again. Zeus gets good scaling too if you get the chance for double lightning strikes
Poseidon's is solid too since it's good upfront damage, but I'd only go for it if I'm trying to get Beach Ball. Which I still don't know if Beach Ball is buffed by Supay! I don't think it is but I haven't tested

Imo Poseidon and Hestia are the best then Ares maybe if you can get all the duos
Demeter is ok but like the damage buff doesn't really matter once you get Air Quality. It is fun though when you get Tropical Cyclone with it
Zeus is ok ish too imo, like it's nice but doesn't really have room clear and the damage isn't really big unless you have like ransom
Hera is a meme but is kinda good for clearing rooms while having 0 damage vs bosses
Heph is not good but the damage is buffed so that's something
Aphro is okayish as well but probably needs stutter step and can do great with her legendary
I like how Supay is the Rush boon weapon but its worst rush boon is Blinding Rush, which is otherwise my favorite rush boon in the game

YMMV, but I have found learning to play with auto-sprint has been helpful with sprint aspects. It takes some time to get used to canceling the sprint so you don’t careen into stuff when you only meant to dash, but dashing again from a sprint feels more responsive when I don’t have to hold the button down. Also, there’s no moment of sprint dropping when you take your finger off the button to trigger the dash, and that has been a big difference-maker for me.
I also found that I sometimes was too focused on hitting my sprint and insufficiently attentive to incoming damage that I needed to dash to avoid. If you’re having that issue too, just being more aware of it should help I think. But also, not holding the button down seemed to help my brain not focus in so hard on the sprint itself
Wait do you need a rush boon for a rush buff to work?
Anyone got any decent tips on beating empowered polyphemus? Because of the great AoE nature of the attacks I feel like I have to rush him, but the more the fight drags on, the more AoE is introduced, thus easier to be punished for rushed plays. Inb4 "git gud scrub"

Oh are you confusing it with buff to your overall damage while rushing? It's just a buff to your rush boon damage
If you have problems with poison you can just camp the curing spring ngl, it has like a 1.5s cd
Other than that, Medea always does 2 pattern for the area wide poisons and Polyphemus won't really hunt you in the fight so you can just choose your fight while dodging the aoe
tail of typhon is the tail attack in the final phase too iirc (if there is one)

Does apollo legendary work on aspect of eos (umbral flames)? 
Yes but also no afaik. I remember someone saying the second daybreaker doesn't spawn specials with it but I haven't tried it myself
Pathing/positioning depends on what type of rush boon you have. Zeus and Demeter have a fairly generous range, so you can kinda play at the perimeter for safety. With Hestia, I usually focus on staying at the right range for my specials to hit reliably and kinda go for coverage, though stacking a lot of lava pools on your cast can be good.
Poseidon has a bit more risk in the sense that you have to smack into enemies, but the knockback offers more safety. I think the key is to avoid continuing to sprint into the knocked-back enemies, since you can’t proc the wave again unless you dash. Hera also requires smacking into enemies, but her rush only does damage when it applies Hitch, so I would prioritize any other Hitch boon over the rush.
Ares and Aphro incentivize dash-spam. Aphro gives you some extra safety in that you’ll be constantly applying Weak. In both cases, I think it’s important to understand the AoEs and kinda work angles to hit without ending up in front of your target. Dashing back and forth across their “back corners” can work well
What do you you guys think about the fear system so far? I feel very motivated to customize it to my current loadout compared to Hades 1, mostly due to the changes in combat and exploration. In Hades 1 I felt like the timelimit heat was mandatory and comparatively "easy", I'm much more reluctant to try it out here due to the resource hunting and the giant meadows area in the underworld path.

I don’t understand why it’s so long for a 100 damage blast. And the scaling seems kinda bad? Like, I was doing some clang Persephone shenanigans, and my dash clang CD was always the longest, even when I picked it up at Epic. I didn’t keep careful track, but it didn’t seem like pomming it was doing that much
Iirc it's pretty similar to the attack cd
So yeah pretty long for a dash with very little blast damage
Okay yeah, I checked the wiki, and while the dash has the lowest Common CD (10), the rarity scaling is only 1s, whereas the attack CD drops 2s per rarity level. So a Heroic level 1 clang attack (6s) has a shorter CD than a Heroic level 1 dash (7s) and does 3X the damage!

I like just putting a lot of on omega effect like Cut Above and Fine Line. Mel Flames aren't really that strong tbh but generic omega stuff still works great with it like with other non hidden torches

I always like stuff that empowers my Ω attack, shorter cooldowns or general empowerments. That of course entails buffing the mana stat, and making sure you don't run out of it. Omega builds benefit from a good Selene buff. For dmg I like the jump power, and if I lack the ability to clear rooms, the polymorph one.

you need to reach the final boss of the surface then he starts showing up

Btw, speaking of dashes, I saw someone mention that the cast circle is foreshortened in the isometric perspective, but that the dash distance isn’t, so if you dash left-right from the center of your cast you’ll still be in it, but if you dash up-down you’ll leave it, which I had never noticed before. Now I’m wondering whether damage AoEs are foreshortened too? Can you get further away from threatening things by dashing up or down?
my thought for making heph dash worth taking was to make blast clear projectiles in its aoe
Heph Rush is also kinda weird in that it procs after the dash part only, doesn’t proc if you’ve been sprinting. I kept forgetting that and wondering why no clangs were happening
Take the huntress arcana and make sure you always have more than five mana, and then take % damage increases and static shock on your attack

it sends out THREE orbs. One pulse and copies specials, one only pulse, and one only deals damage only when it goes through enemies and also doesnt expire until encounter is over.

And, actually, if you have Blinding Rush, the Apollo duo is pretty decent, because it adds 200 damage to the clangs and clears Daze, but then you can pretty trivially re-apply it. I actually don’t know how that works with Back Burner though, whether it procs before daze is cleared
Sorry for the nooby question, but how do you deal with the triple boulder attack? I fail outrunning the AoE and find the pattern a bit hard to predict with my dashes. Any tips?
Run far away then attempt to dodge. It gives you more time and space to dodge the waves and they also all merge into one line after a certain point
I think that one got recently changed and is harder to dodge, you used to be able to just dash through them easily lol
So now imo you need to get more distance in order to dodge easier
My advice is to space yourself to somewhere you can stand still safely, and then dash towards the boulder to phase through the damage waves when it comes down. If you’re running around nervously, it’s easy to tap dash too early and get caught with it on CD
Trying to outrun any of Poly’s wave attacks is a good way to get hit multiple times. The regular slow-moving stomp circles can be out-ranged, but I would only try to do that if dashing into the circle is gonna get you poisoned
It works with back burner I think, I've been getting really high blast damage with it and the backstab message is still there

Here’s another question: how do the blasts work with large AoEs? I had a Persephone run where I had Heph attack and got Wide Grin, and I tried doing the cover-the-whole-screen Ω attack thing, and it kinda looked like everything in the combined landing zone was getting hit with the blast
But I’m not great at seeing the numbers while I’m actually playing, and my recording is screwed up currently, so I couldn’t go back to check
I think it only triggers on a single unit that was first hit with blast, then any other unit that is also in the blast aoe would also get hit
I might have had Grand Caldera and been faked out by the increased blast AoE
So the blast aoe is tied to the unit, which is why if that unit dies then the blast won't appear
Heph godsent seems to be the exception that it's a pure aoe

**To be clear of the actual use case, the idea this time is to see in general, how often you’d see a “strong boon”. Not necessarily the perfect boon to be strong (because calculating the odds of finding certain rarities plus certain levels of just a few select boons per god maybe would be good, but probably not?)
I know at the very least a comparison between Patch 9 & Patch 10 Persephone skull (1/6 odds for Patch 9, per boon per level option, and a split of 50/16/14/12/6/2 per boon per level option in Patch 10). Math can be done to just say “How often will you find a boon of X level?”. That’s easy. The hard part is “How often will you find a boon of X level per god in different circumstances?”)
And then of course there is the weighing of rarities versus said levels.
The probability explodes and givesnyou a headache the second pommable conditional boons such as pyro technique enter the picture imo

tbh most of my complaints is mostly in the fact its a 50% chance to NOT see a pom period
16% > 50% for no pom was massive, idc about getting a high level 6 pom off rip cause that was kinda disgusting how often it was

The one thing to note about old Persephone skull though, is there is still the chance of low rolls. For a run without stuff like Debt, the Onion, or Denial, getting so many high rolls is waaaaaaaaay too ridiculous, possibly on par with Medea’s extremely strong consistency. But when there’s limits on the number of boons, there’s a chance that you don’t roll well on the specific boon you’re looking for.

The other thing I’d like to say is that in the example above, that Flutter Flourish is equivalent to an Epic Boon. So now I am thinking about it, Persephone Skull definitely needed to be fixed. Although I get that it’s unintended, A. I kind of don’t like the fact it was “disguised” as a bug fix, and B. the Pom floor is really low.
Figuring out the exact fair numbers though would require tools players don’t usually have (i.e. the code formulas of each boon).
The level 6 distribution is much more fair, though its a level 6 so it kinda has to be

really anything except Heph's glow and sometimes Hestia's Scorch is easy to apply and keep on
Scorch really wants to be built up fast if you want the most uptime for it, and Pyro Technique makes it clear faster. Which is still generally good, but works against Freezer Burn (unless you also get Burning Desire). Glow sucks because you can't apply it while your blast is on cooldown

a really good build i found is aphrodite/hestia duo with aphrodite/poseidon so you get scorch always being applied. i did that with aspect of persephone which is broken to sweep the first 3 underworld rivals and chronos

Generally speaking if you're after magick then Born Gain and (if you're really desperate) Hecuba are the way to go. Regardless I'd look at the duo boons you could get; at first glance your core boons don't synergise very well. I'll be the first to admit though that I'm not the most knowledgeable on Hades II so I'm more than happy to be proved wrong!
Uh, friends....is it possible to have as many as 3 daybreaks on eos active simultaneously? (As in roaming around?)
I ask because that's exactly what happened during the cerebeus fight. After defeating cereberus, I tried to do multiple daybreaks and couldn't do it. (I was so astounded by what I was seeing that I did a double take during the cereberus fight and make sure I was seeing it clearly.)
So...that seems like a glitch, no?
The idea is to spam omega specials, absorb them, gain stacks to do a big omega attack hit. And aphro got the highest % damage, apollo special makes the area bigger (and also apollo legendary will help a lot), demeter cast to just freeze so you dont take a million hits while trying to stay in the omega special circle. Then born gain for quick magick access 
demeter also got weed killer for the omega attack

Ive not used the axe much recently, but aphro attack and apollo special is still good for most of the axe aspects i think.

I was using Hestia attack, not omega attack. Was very strong.
With apollo legendary it sends out 3 balls. One main ball that works normally, one ball that does pulse and pass-through damage (doesnt copy specials), and then one ball that only does pass-through damage but it doesnt expire. I had like 6 or 7 balls that didnt expire vs chronos 
do you get to the rivals chronos and typhon with that?

for normal rooms I just cast attack and ran around, grabbing revenants, dodging, and shooting the ghosts
I got my clears done at 35 fear so they can definitely go the distance
its just that o spec and spec seem good but i like the thing of the o att about controling where it lands by dashing in the last moment and i want something more focussed on att, feels like its very focused on spec but the att looks cooler and the hammers w the ghosts are cool but not really that useful w the weapon
I know the ospec is an absolute nuke

-1. zeus-demeter duo (aka hail storm), demeter's freeze also inflicts blitz from zeus (goes crazy against waves of enemies if you also have static shock from zeus)
-2. zeus-hestia duo (aka thermal dynamics), zeus blitz also inflcts hestia's scorch
-3. zeus-hephaestus duo (aka master conductor), zeus chain lightning deals more damage per bounce
if you get duo #1 or 2, duo #3 goes CRAAAZY.
If you get all 3 duos, you can cheese through the game even on high fear (32+)

Try moros with zeus special, demeter attack, hestia cast.

Yeah, once you have zeus special + demeter attack, you should get offered their duo hail storm. Also get static shock from zeus (provided you have enough magick, you'll have to prime 50 magick because it's so powerful and effective at clearing enemies).
Go from there...you'll be able to add on other duos (like zeus-hestia duo thermal dynamics)
Not always but that's one approach.
in hades 2, the olympian pool is much larger. (You can have 5 olympians in most runs so you can frequently get 4 duo boons if you pick the right combos).
You'll be doing so much damage simultaneously that it doesn't matter as much.
There are many more sources of damage in hades 2 than in hades 1:
-attack
-omega attack
-special
-omega special
-cast
-omega cast
-dash
-sprint
-hex
-revenge
-revived summons
-animal familiar
last 2 are infrequent but they're there...

Thanks. Yeah, I just realized this. When I took hera hitch on attack, her hitch wasn't frequently connecting with enemies so I was confused. But it's working a lot better in the fields and in tartarus.
The attacks are not that good at spreading status generally, but it's still good for something like freeze or blitz

Also, I don't see the point of shiva aspect. I don't see why anyone would take shiva aspect over the other 3 coat aspects. I think shiva should be reworked to something entirely different.

Man I forgot. Im pretty sure I havent had any on my cast. hammers, I had two. One that extends range and attack damage and one that makes attack bounce to another target. Hex? Most likely not. Too lazy to pay attention if my hex is active and press another button, except if Im using Selene coat
Hel is generally just put poseidon on attack then static shock and put Hera/Apollo/Ares/Aphro/Dem on special
Shiva feels better with just O attack spam and Apollo attack imo. The destruction gimmick is not worth bothering and you can just spam that O attack. For bosses you can use Night and O special then O attack
The only way to actually use destruction above 1 stack properly is just Counter Supreme imo
Imo Shiva is lowkey fun and even great despite the aspect scaling not mattering lol, simply because of how it's moveset is just better than base coat
poseidon attack on hel, eh? Got it.
I just did a run with apollo heroic on hel special plus two hammers (reduced magick plus more power iirc) for the special and it...was awful. (That said I think I picked the wrong olympian for it. I assumed that apollo's percentage boost would be worth it and it was not.) The vaklyrie ability felt terrible. I think demeter's freeze (especially with hail storm would be much better.)
I ended up using my cast waaaaaaaaay more because I had demeter freeze on cast with hail storm (thanks to zeus attack).
Yeah Valkyrie is a bit short but that can also be good since the O special is pretty strong

Agree. fluidity is big for me in the hades games and I just don't see the appeal of hel. (I totally get that some people click with certain aspects.)
Ex: for the longest time, I couldn't see the appeal of the coat aspects. Nothing "clicked" for me with those aspects in my mind. But recently I'm coming around to nyx a lot.

And these apollo blasts in erebus are taking up an easy 1/4 of the field (and sometimes look as large as 1/3) as I lurch forward from one end of the room to the other. Wow.

I am currently trying out aspect of morrigan. Does the blood triad damage scale with any boons? I am trying to think of what build could work with it.
it doesn't scale with anything, no, the general strategy with morrigan is getting blood triad activated as frequently as possible
there are hammers that affect it (one that increases the damage and one that adds a probability of it activating twice) and heph legendary increases it but otherwise 777 is all you're getting

I believe the maths works out that each rank of destructive is worth X damage, the value doesn't improve if you stack ranks. So yeah, avoiding overkill is the main concern.
Main reason to stack to max would be to fish for the Big Crit with something like Night + Shadow Pounce
it's not really worth going above 1 stack imo, for most mobs you can even ignore stacking destructive since they just die
Partial or full charge depends on enemy too, if they die from partial charge then just release it

Best Shiva build is to get Apollo Attack, Apollo Legendary, a strong Born Gain, and Weed Killer if you can afford it. Then, fire a o special, and charge the o attack while standing in the radius. Apollo Legendary will cause you to get to 2 stacks of destructive, so an extra 150% damage.
You want the Night Arcana for the Crit chance. Best Hammers are Counter Supreme (only reason to be going for max stacks) and the ones that make you attacks larger

Any percent attack, any status on special, lots of magick recovery. Hera/Zeus good but it’s a strong aspect nearly anything works.
If you don’t know how to use it: Omega special, then hold attack. You can dash while attacking, so do that if you’re about to get hit

Yes, the trio revenge boon is the best. You can pick Hestia for a chance at Apollo's duo or Aphro for weak for extra survivability and extra hp

@wooden plinth if you're curious to what fire damage heat rush reduces, it only reduces fire damage on the ground like from oil spills, fire barrels, and the lingering flame from 2 of Prometheus' attacks. The two attacks are the line eruption and the circle flame thing, both leaves fire on the ground for a long time. It only reduces the damage from the lingering flame and not the initial impact too
I do agree it's just a weird thing to put on the boon since it's not that useful anyway and can be misleading lol

yeah, like I said, I don't actually expect all flame attacks from Prometheus (or Cerberus, for that matter) to be reduced to 1. but if it's going to be listed on there like a benefit, at least make the benefit worthwhile. even a reduction to 1 HP/second for ground flames would be big. I don't think it's too much to ask for the boon description to be accurate (or at least better than misleading).
Since Heat Rush sets the damage to 1, wouldn’t that mean that said damage is the same for any Vow of Pain ranks?
Unless it’s rounding up AND applies after Heat Rush, in which case all of that damage would still be 2 than 1 compared to Pain rank 0.

Zeus is better for attack now imo since blitz scales better on attack
Demeter is fine on special, the the damage is decent since the special now works well with %damage

I start with the dash boon then just run with the gods available, your dash boon should be able to carry you in biome 1 and 2.
It's worth considering the available duos from your god pool and any possible synergies from it. For example, Romantic Spark makes Zeus and Aphro a really good combo for Supay, since you can keep sprinting and applying blitz at the same time
I see - yeah dash is great, especially with beach ball. It really carries. Since the patch I’ve been doing Poseidon on attack and Zeus on special but I ought to switch it up again. Haven’t tried Ares on special actually that sounds fun, thanks!

stick aphro on attack and fish for a source of weak to give you More effective hp, chase centaur hearts and chaos boons, be sure to take Wayward Son in your arcana
it might still take you a few tries, but you'll find yourself having a lot more room to learn boss moves with

this is a specific quirk of having hestia dash, iirc
apollo gives you more room to maneuver but hera and aphrodite are both better damage
apollo special is BiS for Charon if you find Charon fun but Charon's a quite specific playstyle very different from the rest of axe — it's a spellcaster build, essentially
you only ever use your attack to like, stagger something or last hit

regular axe you usually use the special to cancel your attack combo out of the big chop (which, while good damage, is usually dangerous to use and you only wanna commit to it when it's both safe and not overkill)

so anything with a decent curse, zeus is the best, poseidon with slippery slope is solid

Attack combo with no boons; 80 -> 120 -> 200
Dash attack (if applied) becomes 80 per dash attack
Omega Attack becomes 90 per swing.
Then of course you could slap on Aphro Attack. Starting with Mirror means that bare minimum, you’d then be doubling your damage output (e.g. 160 -> 240 -> 400, 160 dash attack, and 180 Omega swings).

argh, I'm trying to do the max-HP mutual destruction build but with Eris keepsake in the first region, and I got most everything I wanted (not perfect, but pretty good given my limited willingness for resets and not starting with a god keepsake). However, Uncle Poseidon absolutely refuses to Sea Star my centaur hearts! I got it set up with success rate real early, and I am at the end of Olympus and still have not gotten a single bonus heart 😭
If 1.0 does do something similar to this, how would this affect Nergal (if at all)? Since Nergal from what I’ve heard is akin to this idea of Mel Axe. Slower, but stronger. Maybe it’s a scale between Speed and Damage, with the order of Thanatos > Mel > Nergal for speed, and vise versa for damage.

Busted supay build, cleared surface in only 16 minutes at 16 heat:
Hestia attack, Hestia sprint, Poseidon special, their duo
Zeus cast, static shock, air quality
Aphro gain, wispy wiles
Between all those you're ticking damage as fast as possible, and taking almost none, and always procing origination.
thanatos has potential damage but also speed, mel axe would just be damage and flat hp i guess

Pretty much that, the aoe of breaker rush is huge and you can clear rooms fast and the damage is big enough to carry you until like the end of biome 2
You can put a bunch of stuff on attack or special to add for your passive damage like Hestia or Zeus
and getting hestia special/attack just to possibly get steam or for curse purposes and get flash fry for even more room clear is always goated
Honestly all rush boons outside of Heph, Hera, Apollo can work with Supay, it's just that Poseidon and Hestia are just much better than the rest and doesn't need other upgrades
Even Hera can kinda work honestly although you'll have very little boss damage from it lol
I think Ares is the most fun, because you can get the apollo and heph duos to beef up the swords, and you can get stutter step to use them more often
stutter step is obviously good with any of the rush boons that deal damage a flat number of times per rush

I think Queen's ransom is in a fine state finally. Mostly due to the fact that uncommon grace can be upgraded # and incadescent aura. I wish bridal glow and extended family were eligible for levels too. Then I'd say it was as good as King's ransom. What are your thoughts?
For me most of the time it's only worth upgrading Fine Line and Hereditary Bane. It's pretty hard to get Uncommon Grace and a big ransom without getting it too late in a run imo but yeah it scales well too
Honestly Hera has a lot of boons that scales well but most of them are like mobs exclusive with Dying Wish, Engagement Ring, and Rousing Reception. So it's like good but not worth going for a huge Ransom most of the time

And yeah Hera having 2 unpommable boons just feels bad for hunting ransom

The most important upgrade for skyfall is Ferocity and Lance of Ares damage wise, then Prism for room clear

take attack/special and as many ares boons as possible until you get grevious blow, then sell the attack/special for a better one. You do this cause grevious blow specifically has his attack/special requirement and not skyfall which applies wounds

Ares keepsake start to unlock the godsent skyfall nodes, then moon beam to get to the node, and alternating two omega moves with night and using Lance of Ares

The other ones just seem so mediocre
None of the coats are bad, that Selene build deals incredible damage
Aspect of selene is actually really good, probably the best coat
issue is, its incredibly pidgeonheld to a specific build and line as of the unseen update because you must take ares keepsake first, non negotiable or your just so much weaker.
Then you theoretically don't HAVE to take selene keepsake 2nd, if you get enough natural path of stars but just taking selene keepsake simplifies it so much and guarantees you what you need

Pan got nuked by a recent patch. Try Morrigan instead it’s really fun. Standard build seems to be Hestia attack and blitz special

The answer to your pan problems is trick knives now
Don’t do Poseidon special but most others are good (Hera, Apollo, Zeus, Hestia, maybe Ares, maybe Aphro with Island Getaway)
Yeah, Morrigan is very good for a boonless run.
Got very lucky with Sweeping Ambush, Final Slice, and Phantom Brand hammers. Plus an almost maxxed out Phase Shift.
Technically also Melting Sickle, but I don't know how much that contributed.
Hey people, how are you supposed to fight Typhon post-Zeus?? If I stay to far, he throws the triple exploding balls that I have never managed to dodge, if I stay to close he smashes me with his chin or the tentacles/whirlwinds hit me, I have beaten him but only because I get 300-400hp every run
stay near him, learn how to dodge the chin slam
I think of Typhon(normal typhon at least) to basically be "Be right on top of the boss, until he tells you to go away for a bit, then run straight back in"
cycle back and forth. Near him to attack, move back when he's gonna chin slam. same with spinnies. You have two spinny attacks coming up to you. When the third one pops up move back then move back in.
Go in when he carpet bombs the whole arena, does tongue laser.
Sidedash at close range when he does forehead shot.
Go out when he does chin slam, or the tentacle wave is coming in.
Go out and stay out for a while when he does tornadoes, this attack is annoying.
Any tips for the chin slam? It feels like the range is always bigger than I expect, I'm probably overstaying but haven't managed to get a feel of when he does it
you can kinda just feel "oh, chin slam now", and dash straight down
he used to do it every other attack, though I believe it's changed now. Still kind of like that though.
it also depends on whether typhon is very fast
Since he does it SO frequently, if you learn to dodge it, you'll get a lot more free time for damage
his forehead kinda does a thing. he has a windup to it
but i can't remember what it is to describe it, and at frenzy2 it's a really tight window
idk if I have a tell, I just get this spidey sense for it at this point lol
I do have 1 frenzy on 🤣 I learned from Hades 1 to always keep it on and get used to it, so it's basically free fear
You probably know to the millisecond accuracy how long you can stay under before going away, I guess I'll keep trying 
no I'm not that good at it, at this point I just kind of assume "oh, he's about to chin slam" after every non-chinslam attack
The legit hardest part about rivals typhon is this stops being true
After a certain point, reacting to the chin slam just becomes muscle memory. I don't even think about it now, my brain just dodges it every time
Hi, I need two darkness to get the last arcana grasp, how do I obtain these? I have killed Typhon etc (just once).

I'm approaching 300 runs with about 200 of them in the underworld and I still cannot regularly avoid the spinning scythe attack from chronos.
The hit box of that attack confounds me. It goes clockwise from the perspective of the player but I think what keeps getting me is I will dash behind chronos and it will still often hit me as it returns to him.
ETA: I have runs where I take less than 100-120 points of damage leading up to chronos and chronos will do ~150 points of damage to me with the bulk of the damage coming from that scythe attack (so 3-4 hits of it).
Any tips?

If he’s approaching and not doing any of his other nonsense, assume the boomerang is coming and stay a little bit away so it loops around you and then you can close in but favor the side it came out from it can clip you coming back. If you’re up close and see the tell, dash through and sprint because the hitbox is quite large. Or if you’re big-brained enough it’s always a clockwise throw so you can dash into it just as it’s released.

has anyone tried a big ares build on selene coat yet? It sounds like really good in theory because you can potentially use the hex to trigger wounds based effects like heinous affront

heinous affront is cool but you don't need it, lance of ares does bonkers damage with just the ferocity node

melinoe axe with aph atk and poseiden special - then i had some cool boons like the green ones wheich make every opponent close range and one which brings rnadom status effects from other gods
you gotta gift them enough to be able to see all their boons right?

Is Aspect of Sumay the best sprint build? Ive tried heat rush (Hestias boon) and it feels awesome

I mean it's the only aspect that buffs sprint directly, I think, except Nyx but that doesn't really count
