When holding your attack button to charge Whirlwind, you hold attack down and then dash so you can whirlwind in the area you dashed into. However, say you're charging and don't think it's a good idea to run in there, right? Let go of the charge and then dash, it cancels the whirlwind entirely. When charging it up you have two movement options for offensive and defensive

You can dash while holding charge to move towards the location instead of letting it go and manually moving, then while it's whirlwinding, you can also dash away to cancel. It's pretty neat for an otherwise slow weapon.

You might want to try it with Apollo or Aphrodite first to get a feel

Apollo will make the AoE so much larger, Aphrodite will make it hit extremely hard

so while I unfortunately couldn't record it, I think I just hit the highest number I've ever hit in this game yet using the Aspect of Pan

For context I was running Aphrodite's special boon which was upgraded to level 6
I had 2 daedulus hammer's, one with the one that turns your special in a circle of 16 daggers on your omega cast, and the other the one that increases your power by 5 each dagger that hits an enemy
Hex arcana and curse arcana maxed out

This combo did over 5k in a single hit, and is spammable, I shredded ||Cerberus|| in less then 30 seconds with this

2: even if you did, it only deals like 50-60 damage upgraded per hit of hinge, at that point just get Hestia boon to deal dot and help ad clear honestly, or get Zeus or Poseiden they'd work too

Also a huge tip is to try to stay behind her at all times... You can outrun the hex, I usually just dodge through her sheep, you have to dodge like 5 times and then it goes away -- make sure you kill her adds cause she will be invul till theyre dead

So I just had a personal epiphany with my least favourite weapon - the Torches
Aspect of Eos - Apollo attack and dash. Good size and damage on omega ghosts makes them hit enemies while dashing around more easily. And I got to pair it with Hera mana regain which is basically infinite mana in rooms (with a bit more careful management on bosses)
I honestly had a blast in my recent surface run with it - and preferred the attack over any special build I've tried before

I wasn't even lucky with hammers - the only attack boost was 10% more damage and projectile speed, which was a hindrance more than anything else.

Bit iffy on bosses, but rooms got downright enjoyable

so basically the infusion stacks special power, which is low on daggers individually. If you get like 6+ fire, then a rare hera attack starts outdamaging rare poseidon attack against a single target. A rare aphro close up is like 50% more damage

the key to scorch is not to have too much. A rare hestia cast does 45, dealt at 40/sec, so it pretty much does all its damage within a second. And that's over 100 damage to everything in the cast zone I think. If you are stacking cast way faster than 40 per second then you need the boon that detonates the scorch after 300 damage for bonus damage

the main issue is the dps on the scorch is 40 (80 with the legendary), which is still kinda low compared to other gods, especially if you're spamming something. oh yeah another bit of the build is that you get a ranged cast boon cause that means you can hold cast down for as long as you want and get the maximum time slow

yeah the advantage of hera energy boon over the others is that regular regen doesnt apply while channeling, and has a short cooldown before it comes into effect, but with hera you can just go forever

I had a run with Thanatos's aspect that had nice synergies : Aphrodite attack + magic regen from weak foes (so I was Omega attacking all the time), and I got an Artemis boon which gave +8% crit chance standing in my cast. Unfortunately it came at an end because I reached ||Eris|| for the first time and I was not ready.

Beat Chronos for the first time. Had a pretty intense build using the staff:
Static Shock
Heaven Flourish
Arctic Ring
Double Moonshot
Air Quality
Support Fire
Shimmering Moonshot

Basically my specials caused a million small projectiles that all were buffed to deal at least 30 damage each, killing everything very quickly. Insane luck with my boons, incl Artemis

I just got the poseidon legendary, it's amazing. Splash effects do more damage to guardians. @rare brook

I was running staff special spam, with poseidan on special. I was doing 137 per hit just from splash effects alone.

For Axe I forego the HP/MP and get Time slowdown during Omega charging now

I'm not really afraid to lose death defiances really early on since you get a lot later on

demeter/zues was good on it. Cast at range, plus freeze on attack. Made it a true kiting build. I also had the hammer that makes skulls return to you.

With the correct builds you can have a bunch of them and crush them on the boss, melting em down

i moslty rely on chain eit lightning wth poseidon boon for attack with an arteis boon for issile's when you do x attack, that cobo is good and wave clearing also work good for bosses
