Base damage of charged normal attack is 100. This numbers we know from Skelly in the Erebus
From the base of 100 damage, multiplier 90% of Poseidon and Hera duo (I have 3000 gold), Aphrodite base attack boon which gives 190% bonus dmg
Demeter charge atk bonus of 249% and 325% back damage
With these bonuses we have 100+90=190+190%=551(base atk)
To this value then charging the atk must be added 249% from Demeter boon
551+249%=1922 damage
After that, the back damage should be calculated, which is 325%
1922+325%=8172
However damage what I saw was 890 and 560 when not back damage

How is the damage less than the total value of all percentage bonuses received from the boons?

So there are literally 3 different structural damage states at the moment, it's complete nonsense if % are combined. Literally there should be a base of 100 damage +90+190%, then there is a 2 structure that should affect 1 and not just a dumb combined% with a 3 structure (which is back damage)

not that deep, just all % are combined power adds to the base. If its flat eg +20 power it gets multiplied by the %'s

if you genuinely thought you were ever going to get things multiplying off eachother you were in the wrong game, cause 8000 damage is lmao

Its too small numbers
There was almost no damage gain during the game, even after leveling up the boons and gaining other boons
Its mostly about ingame calculating bag

1 point I shouldn't care that there's a lot of damage, and SO on.
2 as I wrote above, these are literally 3 different variations of changing the numerical value of damage, and it's not logical to stupidly combine them
3 even if you combine all% in this run and add 854% and 100 base damage to the base, which in total will give 960+ damage, which is 100 less than it was in the race itself with one charged attack

Heyo! While I'm not certain what the total damage should be, I do agree that it wouldn't come out to 8000, even for the back damage. However, if you feel like it's not adding up correctly, please report it in-game with f10, and the devs can check that each value is being applied as it should.

My latest save was in Ephyra, but after exploring all available areas, I found that I still have a pylon remaining, without any more areas to access. Is there anything I can do to fix this? the reason? path to where game puts save files contains cyrillic characters
and i were to count how many games refuse to work properly if path to save data has cyrillic characters, that would be a lot

It has been updated to 40 songs right now but only the MP3 version, new 5 (last update) songs are missing the FLAC versions.

It looks like your saves may be missing, unfortunately. Is your Saved Games folder inside of OneDrive? It's possible you could check your file history within that to recover the save files.

Unfortunately, no.I also checked Steam's Cloud Save database to download an old save but no luck there. I also tried to reload my old save on my Deck but no luck there as well. Hello ! I'm sorry if this the wrong channel to ask, I'm just lost. My magic is currently at negative 50. If I use the Persistence Arcana, it goes up to -10. Recharging at the fountain does nothing. This is preventing me from using any omega move. I have not activated any vow of any sorts, and I can't find any source in the game.

I'm having this error (that did not appear on any previous versions of the game, and I've been playing since summer I think) on multiple proton versions: 9.0-4, Proton Hotfix and Proton Experimental as they are on steam, and proton GE 9-25. This happens regardless of the VKD3D_FEATURE_LEVEL=12_2 %command% trick in the tech fixes. Sometimes, it crashes my entire KDE Plasma, and it has to recover.

It happens usually either when entering the game, or opening something related to UI - specifically when recieving a boon, or opening the pause menu. When recieving a boon (on the instances that the game doesn't crash), I've noticed that my FPS can go significantly lower, sometimes even into single digits, from what I can see. Normal gameplay is perfectly smooth. The error pops up sometimes when sitting in the boon selection menu, but primarily specifically when opening or closing the bool selection UI - but as I said, sometimes opening pause or even loading a save invokes it. It's always the same error message

here, it appeared because I dared to close the pause menu by clicking continue

I'm using flatpak steam, I'm not on the deck, and I mentioned my system specs in my original message

I have a slight suspicion it could be somehow affected to my old save file that survived many version jumps - if someone from SG could chime in if that's possible, that'd be amazing

Hey sorry to hear that! If you don’t mind, next time that happens could you try doing this – open the Task Manager and find Hades II. Then right-click on it and select “Create memory dump file”. After it runs select “Open file location”. This will create a very large file named Hades2.DMP. Then drop that file here:

Not intentional, but they're likely running into RAM or other performance limits. I'd suggest trying it with no other programs running, and maybe at the lowest resolution/framerate while testing. There are some other things in #h2-tech-fixes message for performance issues they could try.

Hi all. Is anybody else having some troubles with controller inputs registering after the little patch that happened last night? It's that odd thing that all the inputs take exactly two attempts to register. I might be a dummy but I checked thrice that that the problem occurs only in Hades II and nowhere else so the device itself and the drivers for it must be alright.
The weird thing is that the problem only seems to occur while in menus of any kind, combat is somehow untouched.
All that with a PS5 controller on the steam version of the game
Oh and I did try everything suggested in tech_fixes, didn't help unfortunately

I toggled the steam input setting on and off a few times, disconnected and connected it via device manager and started the game it both on and off. Also it's connected to the pc with a wire and there's definitely no other controllers connected, I don't have a bluetooth adapter

So the problem is with selection and backing out mainly. The navigation is fine but DOWN on the d pad seems to sometimes acivate twice...

Hey, the chances are your saves are still available locally. Press "B" on your keyboard while in profile selection menu and see if there's a recent backup that you can use.

hello, ever since the most recent patch I've been having some major fps drops pretty frequently, and I don't know how to fix it. I've set the game to my Nvidia GPU on windows setting and the Nvidia control panel, and in the game's option. I've turned off transmit data, my drivers are up to date, I've turned off vsync in the game setting and chose fast vsync on the 3d setting in the Nvidia control panel. I've never had any frame drops before and am on an RTX 4080 laptop. I've tried all the stuff in #h2-tech-fixes and the issue remains, any advice?

I'm not sure if this is an intended interaction or not, but hazard boom and winners circle do not synergize, which makes sense because it gives you time to get out of the radius but i took it fully expecting it to work and blow me up, again not even necesarily saying this is a bug or that it should be changed from its current state but i do think it would be funny and actually quite powerful in the right hands if it instantly blew up along with the cast

noticed that the artemis boon, specifically one regaridng hits with specials and normal attacks release a guiding arrow, do not react quick enough with the torches, black coat, or umbral flames. almost half the hits, when paired with high attack speeds via buffs or keepsakes, tend to just not be "released".

also, sometimes, noticed this in City of Ephyra so far, at least (couldn't grab a screenshot and forgot to use f10), when standing at the edge sometimes the boons spawn outsite of the traversible area and it is impossible to reach so i have to restart the run

Just encountered a bug on a Hermes shrine on I think second encounter in Olympus. After purchasing one item, the "gold total" on the bottom right of the screen disappeared and I couldn't see how much gold I had. Leaving the screen and coming back restored the gold count. I have reported this in-game already but I mostly wanted to know if this issue is on my end? I play on controller, and since the update a lot of my inputs haven't been working properly (eg. delayed movements in specific areas, the Book of Shadows opening when unassociated buttons are pressed, etc.). My bindings are all as they should be. Until now I hadn't played the game since the Olympic update but I didn't have this problem back then. I've confirmed this only happens in Hades II and doesn't appear to be an issue with my controller or computer.

The delayed movement only started happening after I entered the Fields and persisted through the House. It was only the movements that were delayed, everything else worked fine.
The Y button is what always opens the Book no matter what I bind the inputs to. After entering the Fields other inputs started triggering it as well though I didn't test it very thoroughly.
There was also something wonky where when I was trying to disable Arcana it instead switched between different sets.

Hi! After the update, I'm experiencing a slight lag in the frame rate, especially during combat. It's making dodging and discerning when an enemy will attack difficult. Before the update, the movements were incredibly smooth and now there's like a stutter. I'm playing on a steam deck in desktop mode attached to a dock with the display on my tv. Hi! I'm not sure if this is a bug I should report or just a silly feature, so I figured I'd ask here first.

In the new Thessaly miniboss area, there's a steering wheel for just decoration purpose I believe. When the miniboss is defeated, the door to the next ship gets opened, but if you approach the wheel, it has the "change the course" option. Pressing it, some wind will blow, and nothing else happens. Is that what this wheel supposed to do, just give you a silly harmless interaction? Or is this not supposed to be a thing and is a bug I should report? I'm not entirely sure

Sorry for posting this here, but I’m on steamdeck and it won’t allow me to submit bug reports. There is a glitch when you reach the summit and interact with the Homer voice line before talking to ||Hermes||. It won’t let you interact with them at all and treated it like combat, so I couldn’t reset/go back a chamber. I ended up having to reset my entire run twice before figuring out talking to ||Hermes|| first ‘fixes’ the problem.

So, I don't know if this was bug or just something wasn't consider, this is the first time I encounter this in over 300 hours of game:
I was in Oceanus, I pick a room with a Path of stars as a reward, Chronos then teleport me to Asphodel, nothing unusual here, I succeed in the room, I get my reward with the Path of Stars, and as I'm choosing which upgrades to pick, and before I get to pick the first upgrade, Melenoe teleport back to Oceanus, and now my path of stars is like if I didn't upgrade anything, as if the reward just never existed.

I just encountered a bug but I’m on steam deck and the report bug key says it needs a desktop computer. I had the skull aspect of mel and the hammer which lets your shells automatically return to you. Within the first minute or two, 2 of my shells just disappeared and did not return to me. I was left with 1 for the remainder of the fight even after the different phases.

after the new update there began a problem for me where while playing my screen will go black for 3 seconds every minute or so but the game itself is still running, and this is something that's only happening to hades2 and only recently. Heyo - an enemy probably got launched or spawned offscreen, unfortunately. You should be able to reset the room, either by Quitting and reloading, or (if you can access your file directory) by using the steps here: #h2-tech-fixes message (I'm not certain what the file location would be on the Deck, but you should be able to search for .sav files)

minor bug: i had volcanic strike, which aphrodite offered to replace with flutter strike. after i took it, the sparkling effect from hephaestus was still there. it disappears after leaving the room but it's still not intended behavior. this was on persephone skull, idk if it happens on other weapons

I don't think it was a GPU crash as the game still runs, just that keyboard presses do nothing and mobs don't move either. Pressing Esc to exit works, though. I've sent a few reports adding more details every time, but I'll post a screenshot if it happens again.

As for Ares, the Book of Shadows should give you a hint for what you need to do to continue progressing his relationship, if available; otherwise, just keep talking to him and he should keep giving new dialogue.

i know that bug reporting should be done in game but for this one specifically a video would do a much better job at showing what is happening then just an image.
The bug in question is with the chaos "flayed" curse, instead of just taking dmg when using the special the cast also counts for some reason as if i had the "addled" curse active (the one that deals self dmg when casting) even though i didn't.
The strange thing is that i never encountered this while using other weapons so maybe this happens specifically when using the "Black Coat" ? to be honest im not sure.

Depends on the type of bug - if it occurred in the exact same way, I might report it a second time, so the devs know it's replicable. And similarly if it occurs in a completely different way, so they know that's not the only way to trigger it. But I usually don't keep reporting something past that, unless there's something else noteworthy or I want to add more information.

Visual bugs with the environment I'll report whenever they show up, but I try to not to report the same location more than once.

For the reporter not showing up - could you try verifying file integrity? If that doesn't fix it, I'd suggest starting either your launcher or the game directly as Admin, and see if that makes it work.

You can try alt-tabbing to see if you can bring up the bug reporter. If you can't find, try using Task Manager to find it (and either bring it up, or end the task). It should say "F10" and have onion icon in the task manager. Ending F10 task should still keep the game open (just tried it myself).

I think it might have been an issue at the OS level, I tried playing another game and also got a crash so I rebooted and I think that fixed it, no further crashes (and Hades II did save my progress so I didn't have to start over)

I had my attack and my special with Hera's blessing, and my spell had Zeus's blessing. I took the dual Hera/Zeus blessing. The dual blessing removed Zeus's blessing and increased my attack and special by 6 levels. Then I kept playing until I reached the final level of Olympus. I found another Zeus blessing that blessed my spell again. Later, I kept playing and found another dual Hera/Zeus blessing. I took it, thinking it would increase my attack and special by 6 more levels, but instead, it removed Hera's blessings as if I never had them.

so there are actually two zeus/hera duo boons, it decides which you get based on which god the duo was offered from. So it sounds like you got the hera one first, queens ransom, which sacraficed your zeus boons and buffed your hera ones, but then the second time you got the zeus one, kings ransom, which sacraficed your hera boons to buff your zeus ones

So I don’t know if the bug reports are being sent because I’m having to shut down the Steam Deck to fix it, but I’ve been having random crashes while playing the latest patch as well. This happens when I wake the deck from sleep or sometimes mid-run when loading from one room to another. Game freezes (the music keeps playing but I’m stuck in infinite black screen) and I have to turn off the Deck and restart to get back to where I was. I’ve checked the tech fixes channel but wanted to flag this here as well.

How do you unlock boons like Buried Treasure and Life Affirmation in a new save file? I have 40+ runs in my new post-warsong save file and have beaten Chronos and Typhon multiple times, but I cannot get Buried Treasure from Poseidon in a normal run even after manipulating the vow of forsaking to go through all of his boons. Edit: I started a new save file after the Feb 26th patch and Buried Treasure showed up in the 2nd run.

That's most likely it, if you go check before picking up the reward, it should be red as a visual cue that you can't go through yet

reported the bug yesterday via the bug tool but I though I post the video here as well. While I stood in a warding cycle and had ||gale || as my familiar, ||gale took a hit although it looked like I was protected by the cycle ||

I cleared out the first upper guardian (sheep man) - and changed from Echo’s ||concave stone|| to the ||ghost onion|| keepsake - and it expired as soon as I left the fountain area after changing it.. but I’m going to the second area, I haven’t used the ghost onion at all

Ghost onion has a healing reserve, that if your low enough it can be used up all on one door. So if you have 50/150 hp, a t3 ghost onion will use up its reserve to heal you 100, getting you back up to 150. Either that, or you are running the vow of scars and got a reduced/no benefit from the keepsake

I experienced a funny thing with Athena’s voicelines. I equipped her keepsake when I got to Olympus, reached Prometheus without seeing her, so she arrived at The Summit (her keepsake is still equipped), but her voiceline was something like “Prometheus awaits…” when I’d already defeated him several rooms ago (I don’t remember most of it tbh since I was focused on the run, but I def remember her mentioning that Mel had to be prepared for the angsty bird man)

If that happens, you could check Task Manager and see if the F10 app ( onion logo) is running. Stopping it should get the game unstuck

I had the same problem as Axel, only in a save file I started fresh on Feb 8th. Hermes only showed up in shrines and shops, and never in the Underworld. Also, Athena only offered 3 boons (Stalwart Stand, Righteous Pike, and Defensive Posture) and no others. Additionally certain boons like Buried Treasure and Life Affirmation had a 0% chance of showing up, even after using the Vow of Forsaking. I started a new save file after the Feb 26th update and it has none of these problems.

Since the Warsong update I've been getting really long black screens at the start of runs, after each fountain room between regions, at the end of each run, and when I start up a save file. The black screens are like 10 second long. I'm on Windows PC and none of the suggestions on the tech-fixes page have resolvd the issue.

The best way is an image link from a hosting site like Imgur. Discord image links work, but they're not as stable, so I don't recommend them. Steam image links can work if your sharing permissions are set up correctly

If you open up Steam's Big Picture Mode, it allows you to adjust bindings when Steam Input is enabled. I don't have anything specific to suggest changing them to - I'm mostly just curious if changing them seems to have an effect

not sure if this is a bug..? on some rooms with the Axe weapon my moveset alternates between the Normal attack and the dash/running attack. dont have to be Moving for it to happen, doesnt seem to be a window of time where it Wont do the dash attack if i last used the normal attack, and it lasts for the duration of rooms that it happens in (that ive seen)

I have verified my files, restarted steam, attempted to restore from a backup, and removed and readded my save profile, but nothing has fixed the issue. Currently the game does not launch, it only reports that files need to be verified. What should I do?
