Changes of Fate allow the player to reroll the offered boons. The same boons may spring up on reroll. Sacrifice boons are pretty random in when they show up barring Sacrificial Hymn or if the boon-giver has run out of other boons to offer.

Honestly what I prefer if u want to get specific boons is to run vow of denial

You do occasionally run into having to pick between two you might want if you’re running Fates’s whim and don’t have rerolls, but it lets you narrow down normal boons to just the ones you want

If I have one I specifically don’t want it will get removed from the pool

Then I don’t waste rolls on it

You are still at the mercy of rarity chance though and you occasionally get a boon that forces you to sacrifice for all three of your choices

So just whittling down your possibilities won’t guarantee legendaries and duos

Man, I don't think I can do 50 Fear Underworld, I've mostly played surface runs, so I just can't keep up with Chronos. I'm gonna move on to surface and see if that makes things easier

Huh. The first time I've ever been defeated by un/Unrivaled Prometheus, or any surface boss for that matter, in this save file. It was with pre-Origination Supay, & I had gotten carried away with Magick consumption boons.

I think I understand how the underworld works, but I don't understand the surface. In particular if there's any rhyme or reason to take the "jumps" vs take an entrance into the mountain or something like that.

IIRC taking normal doors is better than jump pads if you haven't had a fountain room yet, because those only appear behind the normal doors

She only spawns outdoors naturally on olympus. If you have the amulet she will appear in the first encounter of whatever region youre in unless you get a fig leaf proc first

It technically does reduce damage on casts that tick like storm ring, rapture ring, and smolder ring but if you are good at dropping casts immediately, you can maintain a better dps

Someone did the math and apparently it still increases Smoulder Ring damage if you have 100% cast uptime, because Smoulder Ring applies scorch immediately as well as every 1s afterward
