I'd prioritize Omega Special, I almost never use Omega Attack. Prioritzing things that increase Magick cost (Fine Line, Controlled Burn, Cut Above), Zeus on special with Arc Flash is also an option

Until I have a good Omega Special build, I tend to alternate between Omega Special and dash strikes

Here's something that helped me start beating him:

Don't be afraid of getting close to him. During a ton of his attacks he's a sitting duck for free hits. For example, when he throws his scythe in an arc, get right in front of him or behind him instead of running away.

That dodges like 90% of base chronos moveset

Yeah. If you try to wait out all of his ranged attacks and only attack inbetween, it'll take forever. And thats more time where you're taking damage
