So jpom is essentially lv4 on all boons the entire run, and a hades boon

Trust us, just try it a few times. Focus on getting Origination online, and be flexible with what comes your way, and you'll almost certainly have a good time

Lv4 in all boons is actually insane

and the free hades boon is very good too, all of them are good, some are better for sure but they're all decent

Also, if your build really needs a specific god, you can take that god's keepsake later in the run. You'll lose your hades boon, and you'll lose any uses of Card/Chrolex you haven't spent yet, and future boons won't get the jpom levels, but you will keep the levels on the boons you already have. I'd say about one in ten or fifteen runs I end up doing this as keepsake #4, but that might even be more often than I should

To get armor and other defensive boons

In fact,giving up the hades boon can actually go in your favor, if you get life tax from jpom fully use it and then pick an Olympian keepsake to lose the boon, hades might offer you again on Tartarus

speedruns use frenzy 2, shadow for underworld specifically, no other vows
keepsake order is 1) god keepsake or jpom, 2) fig leaf always, 3) varies but often gorgon amulet, 4) usually white antler, can use fang or droplet if you aren't comfortable with that yet
use strength not DDs, and familiar is almost always raki. always take shops and NPC chambers (except in tartarus) since they pause timer, and take chaos gates in region 1 and 2 if they show up and you can afford to

choosing the right keepsakes, vows, arcana, and rooms already does a lot even if you play super sloppily

The biggest tip I can offer is that when she pops Dark Side, that's one of your best opportunities to deal damage to her

uhhh like 90% of that fight is scripted assuming you have the damage. she will always start in dark side and the order will go one of 2 ways, circle -> circle -> balls or circle -> balls -> circle so just get used to both and optimize what your weapon can do from there. if she doesnt phase transistion from that theres a chance she just starts hitting you and another chance she teleports away then runs at you. after the first transition phase she'll always start with her and her clones doing the weird like in front and back wave thing and she generally ends up being the one farthest away, then phase 2 opens with a wolf howl into another dark side iirc
