i'm trying to hard to get the heph and ares godsent hexes to finish the prohecy but i literally CANNOT get the required hexes. I feel like i've stumbled into some temporal loop where everyone run i get Twilight Curse, Moon water, Lunar ray, Night Bloom and occasionaly Total Eclipse

is there any way to guarantee you get the hexes you need?

so i’ve been thinking about the metaphysics of being a shade in the hadesverse, specifically re: icarus not being able to touch melinoë
it generally seems that shades can interact with material objects, but not ‘living’ (undead gods) things (icarus can make hammers and bombs, achilles can hold his spear, etc) and in hades 1, theseus and asterius (both shades) can hold weapons and harm zagreus with them
however, asterius is able to hurt zagreus with his bullrush attack, in which no weapon is used*
i attribute this to his horns, which are composed of a layer of dead keratin over a layer of bone
it must not be the keratin that allows contact, because then dead tissue would allow contact between shades and zag/melinoe. if this were the case then icarus could touch mel no problem due to the outer layer of skin being composed of dead cells. therefore, it must be the bones (my reasoning is because bones are associated with the dead)
conclusion: icarus can touch mel, but only by biting her

tbh I'd go about it the other way
having a god in your pool has no influence over how likely their associated hex is to show up, but if you get wolf howl you can always grab Heph keepsake ASAP right after and then the godsent will unlock retroactively

I'd probably recommend fishing for wolf howl in Ephyra from Selene, since a hex is very likely to show up and you can get it ASAP?
if you don't have the seed reroll incantation yet you can still make your run diverge by picking different rewards rooms 1-2 and picking the doors in a different order, afaik, so you can kinda pseudo reroll ephyra until you get wolf howl, then heph keepsake in thessaly (or olympus to be safe) if he didn't show up in ephyra too

He's out of dialogue options at the crossroads, not entirely sure about surface encounters||

with hera's duo boons with apollo and aphrodite + night bloom with selene

Oh, here's another thing -- in cocoon rooms in the Underworld, you can immediately take a minor reward and leave even if you've got enemies running around.

Then you can put in the cost of your omega-attack and omega-special and it tells you how many of each you can use

it tells me I can use 3 omega attacks, 3 omega specials or 1 of each, which is uhh

but also the answer in game is just two, you can't use the total mana to calculate this in this way

what will happen in my example is that you use one omega so you go from 100 to 10, fine

you use another one which overcasts, triggering born gain and setting your max mana to 80

now you have a max of 80, you can't cast anything that costs more than 80, so that's it
