fun fact about flood gain you may not know: it is literally impossible to permanently run out of magick on flood gain. whenever it's off cooldown it's like having infinite magick, even if you started with zero

it sounds worse than it is in practice, I underrated it until recently

it can also keep up with faster magick usage than anything else in the game 🤷

with valkyrie mode I lowkey feel like I need to optimize the 3s buff duration and if I waste that time dodging and sprinting away from danger than I've wasted 50 magick

plus, non-omega Hel special is actually really good

it was at the top of my damage board lol, for that run, which kinda shocked me

Okay, tbh, that's a bouncing special with Hitch, if it's just all damage dealt then ye, with crowds it's gonna raise the number, but i cannot imagine it doing any notable damage to bosses or single targets like that tbh

Hel special is always bouncing 🤷 and if you fire it off cooldown it has I think twice the base damage of Hel attack?

and you often want to put something like blitz on it, in which case spamming special on cooldown will proc blitz a lot more often than using ospecial just for the buff

also tbh if you are using omega special on Hel, flood gain is a fairly nice fit tbh...
you'll be entering the downtime with 50+ magick anyway, since it'll restore whatever you spent on your last omega move, and between the long channel time and 3s buff uptime you'll really only have.... like 3-4 seconds to kill during the flood gain downtime. and Hel is still perfectly usable without valkyrie mode

but splash Hel is its other good build, and if your god pool is like.... idk, zeus poseidon ares hephaestus (which is a very good splash Hel god pool) I'd 100% pick flood gain

but regardless, there are god pools where pos is easily the best option imo

like for medea specifically, going from 40 base power to 90? pretty huge, and you have the innate medea +90% attack damage so the low % on ares matters less

Heph's legendary boon boosts your weapon aspect, but Aspect Of Persephone's effect is that it boosts the level of boons you can find, so if you boost that late in a run, you're not gonna get much out of it 'cause you've alreayd got most of your boons anyway

I may not be the best advice about vows but I try to balance between getting hard bosses and hard rooms, so in your setup with frenzy 2 and rivals 4 it feels like you're go easy trough rooms and fight hard bosses ? (I think everyone has to find it's favourite vow setup consider his own weaknesses anyway but that's my vision)

lots of magick when your cast disappears, very solid and synergistic. born and flood gain are prob second best (or ionic and tranquil but I hate using them)

pan is in a kind of rough place rn though ngl, I like it too but it makes you stand still a lot to channel which can mean you get hit more T_T

Hello, everyone. I have a (or rather a combination of-) questions that have to do with completionism.

My goal is to complete the fated list in game and all 50 achievements on Steam. Currently I'm trying to knock out the Duo Boon list that I have never gone for or rather not got during my regular runs.

How can I bend the RNG in my favour to give me the biggest chance of getting them? Even with max. number of rerolls + the Arcana card that gives bonus chance to spawn a duo boon, I'm not 14 runs into trying to get the Apollo + Zeus Duo Boon and it just refuses to spawn. On my 2nd monitor I have the prerequisit list and TRUST ME I QUADROUPLE CHECKED to make sure I did the thing correctly.

Any tips?

Also I just can't get the Chaos boon Chant to spawn. I've tried over 20x to line up getting a purple infusion and then spawn a second portal down, but it just won't happen and I'm so frustrated about it not lining up, no matter how often I try.

Duo boons are luck, just make sure to fill up your god pool and core boon slots along with excellence and rerolls, for the chaos one just get the purple element either from a duo or chaos asap, and then reroll chaos wells for light of ixion
