for progression comparison, I am about 98% through the game (haven't seen epilogue yet), so I can't imagine it is locked...

I lean into on hit effects like scorch and splash to take advantage of the attack speed. zeus stuff too.
there are a few hammers that work well, but if you’re going that route I’d avoid the omega move oriented ones
(you can build around omega moves if you want but I don’t personally enjoy it much on base coat. o-special is fun tho)

What's the strat for building around poseidon, by the way? His boon is flat damage so you'd want daggers or something that hits frequently, but what do you stack with it? Zeus and hestia also give some kind of flat damage but they're different elements. When building main zeus, you have a bunch of things that effect lightning procs and such, and hestia has her faster scorch burn, but i don't see anything like that for poseidon? Just his cast froth from what I've seen, which isn't quite the same thing. Is Poseidon just kind of a support god?

Yeah, had some fun runs around it. Heroic success rate brings it up to 50% or so, then Heph's legendary and another hammer that adds damage to the triad. Iirc, around 1200 dmg from triad and 50% chance for 2nd hit. Then use hitch since it can transfer triad damage to other affected enemies, and you're shredding through anything.

im sorry but i genuinely dont understand how people struggle with his memory game attack. The only time i ever had trouble with it was when i was learning the Vow of Rivals version of his fight, but honestly Heracles is just not that threatening during it.

like... the last heph run I linked here was 40 fear and his blasts did a lot #h2-victory-boasting message

yeah, and without them you can still do a blast every 2 seconds 🤷
and blasts have a lot of good duos, there are 4 good duo boons for them lol, 5 if you count aphrodite for heartthrobs, so chances are you'll get multiple without trying
