Like Mel Axe (and Axe as a whole) is great for the range that it’s intended at (0-32). But when 50+ is pushed, it’s not so easy to win with Mel Axe. And that’s because Axe is slow, and Mel Axe has the worst buff out of the Axes to make up for it.

Well, they clearly signaled they were trying to fix it in one of the last couple patches, both changing the base frames (supposed to be on all coats) and saying they fixed bugs with things not working with its omega attack. So I have hope that it remained their intent over the past ~2 months and they actually figured out where the problem was in that time.
