i was a very casual hk player and found the game pretty hard on switch because of joycon issues. skong is proving to be harder than i expected, but in a pretty fun and rewarding way other than the pogo -> diag dive switch. i don't mind the runbacks, hard boss fights, etc. in the same way i don't mind them in hades/h2. i like feeling as though i need to work hard and learn in order to succeed

the thing about silksong is that its a lot like elden ring with its difficulty. Yes the game is very hard but it also gives you a lot of tools to deal with that difficulty. I you just play it like hollow knight and use only you basic attacks and the occasional spell, its gonna be very rough. But if you play it like its meant to be and make use of all the tools and crests effecctively, its becomes so much easier
