morning guys. I have a question regarding WSL2 and running an android emu alongside it. My OS is win10.
I'm very very new to WSL2 (just set it up last night and went to sleep afterwards). Today, when I started my emu (LD Player), it refused to start (stuck at 50% at the initial start-up), claiming my virtualisation was disabled (it isn't). I just enabled Virtual Machine Platform to run WSL2. Now apparently, LD needs that to be off (?). Anyone here who's sorted through this before?
Going through reddit/stack overflow for a fix. Thought I'd ask in this channel as well. Thanks.

Hey, I need someone to look over my plans for my home server and see if it's even a good idea to do something like that.

I have a need for a server, that can:
-store data with nas functionality
-has redundancy with only 2 drives per pool
-can run Windows vms, that can be used from the server (host) hardware

My Hardware would be:
CPU: Ryzen 9 3900x
Ram: 16gb ecc
Gpu: 1x radeon HD 4840
1x radeon R7 250x
MoBo: A520 chipset with a pcie x1 Adapter for more SATA ports
Drives: 2x 120gb SATA SSDs (Boot drives)
2x 3TB wd nas HDDs
2x 5tb seagate barracuda HDDs
1x 16tb seagate exos HDD
1x 18tb seagate exos HDD
1x blue-ray drive

I planned on using proxmox ve on the hardware with ZFS mirror on the boot drives with the two 3tb drives being used for VMs, also in ZFS mirror.
Next I though, would come a vm running truenas (core or scale, idk yet), which uses the rest of the drives via pass-through, as 2 ZFS mirror pools.
Then I wanted to make a windows 10 pro vm, which can pass through the R7 250x, the blue ray drive, the attached display, audio, keyboard and mouse.

Is that a viable idea? Or is there something I need to watch out for?
I'm rather new with Linux, so I wanted to make sure, that it would make even sense to do it like this.

The reason why I use proxmox as a base and not truenas scale is,
That I can pass through the windows vm easier via proxmox and I plan to maybe upgrade in the future with a nextcloud vm, plex server or even more windows VMs (with more ram, of course).

If the money allows it, I would even make a small proxmox backup server off-site.

My recommendation is to save up more money to purchase a current gen platform. A current gen platform will (depending on what you choose) mean you can spend less in the future should you want to upgrade CPU, as you won't have to change motherboard, RAM, and possibly cooler too. Being patient and spending more now can also improve your satisfaction with the computer and not only improve your overall experience, but also make you less inclined to upgrade in just a year or two
