What's good everyone. I wanna dispel a common myth about Jintsuu META.
Jintsuu META doesn't need to be in front of vanguards to buff them. She only needs to launch her torps before the other vanguards hit their target for her torp buffs to take effect.

With 2 torp launches you're probably ok. But if you have Jintsuu off-tank there's probably enough delay that the tank position would miss the buffs. And they certainly would if the vanguards start the fight travelling towards each other as sometimes happens.

You're right, which means you probably wouldn't want a vanguard with laffii tank and jintm off tank
Reason I wanted to share is because I just checked out the tier list, where it's now included jintm shima laffii, which is cool since it's a good vanguard.
That said, the statement that "Jintsuu META in the tank position will launch her torpedoes first and thus buff both Shimakaze and Laffey II's torpedoes." implies she couldn't be placed elsewhere
In my experience, laffii jintm shima is a stronger order, and this is one of the reasons why

my opinion is not 100% reliable but here's my take based on the doc

- check the gear breakdown, it has explanation on the aux interaction that could help explain some replacements or swaps, which goes to main or vanguard - if there are specific aux you're unsure, then open the conversation

- check the tier list for 3rd Main Fleet Ship; you actually have a lot of options here to choose from. choose the one you like. then go from there.

1-2) if there is only one you have to use other similar gear, like HSFCR instead of AFCT, or evasion/speed gear instead of beaver badge depending if backline or vanguard respectively
3) vanguard for now till soyuz is high level 120+
4) what gear are you actually missing? hard to give alternatives when you don't specify
on musashi use washington naval treaty(sg works too but worse)/beaver (remove from laffey) and hpfcr
would change double hp aux on fortune to 1 speed (boiler) and pearl tears and 1 boiler laffey instead of mag torpedo or 2 boiler on fortune if you want to keep mag torpedo but not really worth without line torpedoes. in case you swap beaver to musashi use boiler mag torp laffey and pearl tears boiler fortune (mag torp still very questionable without line torp). your vg is really slow with that setup.
could swap all aa guns to staag tbh (including vg), almost no cv in any meta fleet these days, alternative is twin 134 for fp instead of hit on vg.
swap aux gun on nj to twin 137 mk1, ap shells have much better shell speed then normal ammo which matters a lot (if you don't have/cant make it, that's fine for now)

There’s a lot of aspects to this:
- If your flagship Soyuz takes damage from enemy Soyuz, both NJ and Aquila will take damage
- Flooding from Shimakaze’s barrage perhaps
- Vanguard simply moving too close to yours (or the summons of Laffey as well)
Because the AOE range of Soyuz’s barrage is so huge, when it hit flagship it can also hit off flag targets
And likewise, if it targets the off flag position, it can also hit those in flagship

The thing is that uvh is not really good for pvp. Unless you want to put her on flag position.
Her self damage debuff (which is -45%) will stack with pvp class mod which is also -20% and WNT (another -15% if present on any side) making her deal effectively 20% of damage you may expect her to deal normally.
On other hand Rechelieu have preload, self stat buffs and crit (Im not sure if ut works in pvp tho, but even if no she is still have more damage)

If you're happy with coping, get New Jersey. And you can have that witb fdg and Soyuz. Anchorage, shima and laffey can work for vanguard
