I'm doing this, and I've been loving it so far, over using Hiryuu. More reliable. Hiryuu is iffy to use on Offense, since you need to keep track if she proc'd her Blue skill or not. And Vanguard, besides using WNT and then buffing team, also does good DMG herself.

• Fortune is preferred when running with double torp, otherwise you are giving up too much damage if you run Ancho and Fortune together (Aldarn)

I even fought someone who was using Vanguard+Shima+Unzen to see if Unzen was good but because both her and Shima had magnetic torps even with crits only 1 of the backline ships on my side died to torps in 10 fights because there wasn't enough torps hitting them

The problem is if the other side is using Ancho the torps will get lost in her shield unless both her and the torps follow a very specific pattern to hit her only when the shield is gone

And if it's against torp meme unless the ship with mag is Felix/Duca who have slow torps they might still miss because the vanguard has a lot of speed

Unzen can do the same damage or more if she hits most of her torps and get a crit but she is very slow once her speed buff is gone so there's a high chance your vanguard will get killed by BBs

Hiryuu has loads of usage in pvp even back in the day, loads of people have her raised. Royal Oak can’t compare to a staple

Seydlitz was barely used even for a year. And by that I mean only like 3 people used it within the first 6 months of her released. Royal Oak was harder to build around than even Seydlitz

My point is that I expected some use as possibly an option for the people who don't have all the URs, but it never happened. She was tested and then no use at all.
