I think when your account is so stacked you can build whatever you want or build for specific content, eg why do you need to finish ch16 or to increase your medium damage or whatnot.

That said lacking any other info I’d say WDP and Raff

Yes but also not really if your ships are a high enough level even one fleet is enough to clear the stage. You can always just put a dummy ship in the back and front line for the 2nd fleet and use only one fleet to clear the stage. Obviously you gotta level up your ships a bit to overpower the stage but it’s possible

Event stages might be a bit difficult for newbies but it’s not INSANELY difficult

Gem Spending 101

Gems in Azur Lane are fairly rare from an F2P perspective. However, the gacha in Azur lane does not require gems and their main usage is expansion of facilities like dorm, academy, docks and depot, as well as buying resources, resource packs, premium items (rings and name change), and skins.

As an F2P, you can get up to 4900 guaranteed gems (3750 for 3* clearing all 15 main campaign worlds, 900 for completing Bands collection and 150 for 8 days login campaign), not counting random gems from commissions or occasional bonuses from events or other sources.

Considering limited availability of gems for F2P players, even if spent exclusively on QoL upgrades, it is impossible to upgrade everything.

This is the recommended way to spend gems as an F2P:

• 3rd Dorm slot (300 gems)
• Dorm 2nd floor (500 gems)
• Dock space (remaining gems)

The main purpose of the dorm is for faster morale regen while grinding. Using ships with 0 morale will receive a 50% exp penalty and lose affinity.

The 2nd floor of the dorm will have the same number of slots as the 1st floor. While it lacks passive exp gain, it has faster morale regen. 3 dorm slots with the 2nd floor gives you a total of 6 slots, which is enough for your whole mob fleet.

Dock space is the biggest constraint for players. While this can help casual players collect all their waifus, there is also practical use in collecting ships - for later levelling to get their fleet tech on reaching lvl 120. These are important for players as they provide crucial additional stats that help players to tackle the hardest content (W14/15, H.Arbiters, CM).

Alternatively, players may consider getting the 3rd Academy slot for faster skill training or more dorm slots instead of just dock space (not recommended).

While players may opt to buy skins/rings with the F2P gems, this will come at the cost of QoL. It is recommended to only buy those with real money 💳.

Some subs let you deploy a few times outside of range, like I-404, can plug one of them in so you don't have to worry about range.

Why is there a tear instead of another torpedo? Well, it fits the theme of this ship (although it also fits the pearl pirate ship), and it increases its surprisingly large HP pool. If it goes down, it can heal someone else.

There could be four rainbow torpedoes, but the costs of acquiring all of them would be truly MURDEROUS . I'm even afraid to think about how long it would take...

it's not just 404 all subs should rarely die, and if you have a really tough opponent you should be looking at how to tackle that opponent, not cope with some extra HP that may never proc
you don't need a lot of rainbow bulins to change that specifically, you need to know what you're doing with your surface fleet and some ships may need you to invest bulins, yes

By the way, I wonder how powerful a destroyer/submarine will be, when it have literally 1,000 in torpedo stats. It must bring true apocalypse. Recently, when I was fighting the Lion and Z-52 at level 125, the two of them destroyed my entire fleet. And interestingly, it was the Z-52 that was the main reason for this. I checked, and it is also possible to max out those stats on her.

Theoretically, if I had, for example, three UR destroyers upgraded to the max and added this submarine, they would literally torpedo the entire board in a matter of seconds. At least that's how I imagine it.

You would probably need to select specific ships for the rear. I noticed, for example, that New Jersey always provides excellent support (but she's great in general ). And interestingly, she reloads surprisingly quickly for being SUCH a battleship. So even when the front line is loading their weapons, the rear provides support.
