You might be better off running 1 high level fleet than 2 fleets as is. Not sure what is exactly best but you can try basically your highest levels plus Helena (if sync’d) plus maybe Sandy. If that still doesn’t work you might just need more levels and equipment upgrades.

So the latest event stage is C-1 for you. Or B-3 if you haven't actually cleared C-1 yet. So you'd repeat C-1 (or B-3) as much as possible until you start getting a popup telling you to stop and take a break.

I think I would do Laffey 2 from the current event next because you need a tank. Then Fritz and Z52 both are absolute top tier at their roles. But you have lots of options and all URs are really good you really can’t go wrong with any of them for a newer account.

Getting lots of 100s is less important than getting 120s and 125s for pushing content. Beating arbiter and event SPs are extremely important for you so I would focus on leveling a strong core of 120s/125s.

I don’t know exactly you can try out different combinations. Maxed ultra rares will beat out anything else though. Shinano and L2 are both boss fleet oriented but can be split up for now to balance your fleets. Having a BB isn’t strictly necessary, for now it’s fine to not have any. Nelson is quite solid but not a super high priority. Indy is also solid and nice to plug in for OS but also not a super high priority. What you want to focus on depends on what content you are trying to beat.

For leveling underleveled ships (ie book'd to 70 then thrown in), what's the highest level reliable map to do so? I've got 12-4 unlocked right now and that's what I'm using, but I was thinking of making a push for higher maps. I imagine 13 is probably doable, but what about 14? 15?

The stronger your other 5 ships the safer u are
Ch13+ u usually need a carry or two like unicorn to make sure they make it

If u are a newer player I recommend u stay in 12 and work on opsi

I've been doing 12-4, I find level 70 works as long as it's not like. 3 DDs all underleveled and I shove the weakest ship in the middle. I've just been finding myself constantly short on coins (although the two events haven't helped on that end lol) so I was looking to move up a bit. I try to aim for 70 since I've been using my books to free up inventory by going 1 -> 70 and limit break since my dock is basically full at 386 out of 406.

You use good ships that have the skills for what you're doing. Most faction buff skills are ignorable. IJN buff can usually be gotten away with simply because there are enough IJN units worth using that happen to count for the number.

Building a fleet around faction is the backwards approach. You build based on ships and make the fleet comp work for them.
