For pure "event tokens per oil", doing those once daily for the x3 is efficient (especially if done with low oil fleet).
But farming d3 takes less real-world time because you just set it on repeat so you're poking your phone less often, and has a chance of dropping one of the event ships (if you don't already have her).

So it depends a bit on which of those you find more important.
